After thinking about it,

 

1. Rainbow Rocks has my favorite songs in the Equestria Girls series.

 

2. Friendship Games has my favorite story.

 

3. Legends of Everfree has my favorite setting.

 

4. Equestria Girls is my favorite overall.  (I don't know why.)

Since I've watched it roughly thirty times now, I can explain a little further. I liked how the setting moved away from the high school and to a camp in the middle of the woods that was suffering financially. Flash Sentry was finally given some much needed character development and I think he will get some more sometime in the future. Sunset has matured a lot and has become Sci-Twi's mentor when it comes to dealin with the aftermath of the Friendship Games.

I'm glad Flash FINALLY got some development.

 

Hopefully, getting back together with Sunset Shimmer will give him a personality. 

 

I also loved the new setting and thought it was a breath of fresh air, so to speak.

 

And I love that Sunset has taken on the "Twilight" role and is teaching the other Twilight about friendship, too.

Well, she is a stuffed plushie in her cameo, but I think secretly she's alive and watching everything around her. I was surprised to see that they chose Sunset instead of some other people. It might have to do with her own connection to the world of humans.
