Season 4 is my favorite season so far.

 

It would have been cool if Sunset Shimmer & Trixie were at Cranky Doodle & Matilda's wedding in "Slice of Life".

Trixie would've been easy although she would have needed a good enough reason. Sunset on the other hand... that would've required a very good backstory to explain her absence.

I do hope Sunset Shimmer makes a cameo in the MLP movie somehow though.

The writers acknowledge that Equestria Girls is canon to the show, yet they don't instinctively say this because they don't want to upset the fandom who still remains divisive about it. For Sunset to appear in the movie, it would mean a good portion of the fans--EQG fans or not--to become upset and criticize the decision.

I just hope that Sunset doesn't start getting regulated to the status of secondary character because Sci-Twi has become part of the group.

I hope that won't happen either because, as much as I like Sci Twi

 

The Equestria Girls franchise is Sunset Shimmer's only real time to "shine" so to speak and to see her be pushed aside like  

 

Princess Twilight has been in the main show would make me really sad.

I blame the writing staff for making such decisions or perhaps Hasbro for telling them that they had to.

I think it's more the second thing because, for some reason they are pushing Sci Twi as a pupil to Sunset Shimmer. 

 

Kind of like the main show is doing with Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer.

I do, too.

 

As much as I liked seeing the other ponies get the spotlight after "Lesson Zero" I missed seeing Twilight Sparkle in every episode

 

because, she became my favorite pony after that same episode. 

 

I'll feel the same way if Sunset Shimmer gets pushed into the background in the Equestria Girls movies.
