I see Daydream Shimmer as being a representation of Sunset becoming an alicorn even though she isn't one. I also see her as being Sunset's strongest form.

I think they'll learn from their rushing of Twilight's ascension and give Sunset the respect she deserves.

When you study and accidentally fall asleep, you end up losing track of time because of sleeping and then you go into a blind panic over not using that time to study.
