I thought they WERE being her friend though.

"you have us, and we've forgiven you for your past boo boos"

"sunset shimmer, over here!" <--- if you didn't want someone hanging around you, you wouldn't call out for them.

Most of the time, SUNSET was the one acting distant and shying away, because she felt guilty about what she did.

It was only by saving the day that she cast off those chains.

And the mane six were always quick to say "no offense", because they felt bad about accidentally insulting her.

Which is the attitude you'd show towards a friend.

She was also invited to the slumber party, and took part in rarity's selfie.

And they only got mad at her when she crashed the performance, because they were angry about the prospect of being eliminated from the competition.

They were mad at her mistake in judgement (according to them), not her as a person. They quickly moved on and argued about other things, showing that it wasn't personal.

This is true.  I took the entire dynamic to be a really realistic version of what happens when a group of people are already really good friends and you're trying to break in.  The group wants you there, but you haven't quite figured out how to be around them yet, and they're trying really hard to include you but they aren't used to it.  Later it becomes automatic but at first there's that awkwardness and you don't know how to participate like one of them.

/psychoanalysis moment

Sidenote: I love how realistic their relationships are.  And yet not stereotypical.  So glad I'm not a teenager anymore, hahaha.

I didn't really care for the 2nd because I love the first and this kinda sucked, but I liked seeing the new Sunset Shimmer!

Kinda sucked? I consider this movie several leagues above the first one.

In fact, the awesomeness of RR makes the first movie look even more plain than it was before.

Anti-Brony Brotherhood? Three minutes in and this dude sounds like a full-blown brony.

I guess he might be one of those bronies who is too cool to call themselves a brony and hates on other members of the fandom.

Either that or he just really likes to torture himself by watching things he knows he won't enjoy.

I can't figure out who this review is supposed to be for though. There is not nearly enough vitriol to really troll bronies with.

Alright before I rage, I really love Rainbow Rocks. Those anti-bronies gave me stress right now. If they don't like it, than why do they watch it? Why do they hate on it? Why are they reviewing it? To say that RR sucks? I don't get it.

I don't know if they like it or hate it.

This isn't an Anti-MLP video. The video is actually the third review in a 3-part series.

If you actually watched the video, the guy isn't really part of the whole Anti-Brony-Brotherhood thing. On the contrary, he's a fan of the show. The Anti-Brony-Brotherhood thing just part of the skit for the sake of the MGS5 parody. In the review, he praised the writers for working well with the material given to them.

The point is, don't give this guy unnecessary hate (even though it wouldn't be necessary to begin with) before watching the video.

Edit: And I'm an idiot for not realizing the uploader of the video is the one one who started this topic.

I thought I misunderstood so I edited my post :P

A guy who's a part of the Anti-Brony Brotherhood (something I've understandably never heard of until now) who's watched the entire series and the EQG movies, and sounds like as much of a fan as any other one who would go out and shamelessly analyze the show's highs and lows while still praising it overall.

Alrighty then.

You explained the point of this, yet it still makes no damn sense

I get that, but I still don't understand the purpose of this video.

It's a video review. You know, a video to explain one's opinion on a movie, show, game, etc. In this case, it's done in a similar fashion as The Nostalgia Critic.

So what's the deal with the whole "Anti-Brony Brotherhood" thing?

I already said in an earlier post that it's just there for the sake of being a MGS5 parody.

Google tells me that stands for 'Metal Gear Solid 5'. What does that have to do with anything?

@,

This isn't an Anti-MLP video. The video is actually the third review in a 3-part series.

Couldn't have explained it better myself. Plus cool points for catching the MGSV references.

I don't know if they like it or hate it.

I like it. They hate it.

Watch the ending @31:56

One can only lie to themselves for so long

So what's the deal with the whole "Anti-Brony Brotherhood" thing?

For entertainment's sake. How often do you see the ABB in Brony videos?

The anti-brony brotherhood has played minor, yet important roles in my past reviews. For this latest one, I wanted to give them life and create my own personal take on how the brotherhood would act.
