So, today, this kid in my Government class tried telling me that the only good games on PC were ones like "Diablo" and "World of Warcraft" and that consoles were better for everything else   I lel'd

As someone with refurbished Dell D620 & D630 laptops, that port you pointed out is indeed for the docking station, if you ever get one.

So my computer not only lags during games due to its bad specs, but also shuts down while playing them quite often, which I'm guessing is because of ventilation problems from lots of use over time. Pointing a fan at the laptop's cooling vent seems to stop this from happening, but I was curious just how much of a temperature difference this makes. 

The results surprised me.

 

After playing The Sims 3 for about 10 minutes without the fan, HWmonitor reported that the CPU was running at about 80c. I can only assume the temperatures just keep going up from here which causes the computer to shut down.

Playing with the fan pointed at the vents for one hour, however, yielded much bigger differences than I expected. The temperature hovered around 50c the whole time, which is just really surprising for me. That's a 30c difference, which as far as I know is huge even compared to aftermarket desktop CPU fans. The computer has to be happy about it too, no more overheating and potential component damage.

People like him give me hope for the gaming industry.

If you haven't already looked at his channel, you should check out more of his stuff. He's one of the best game journalists I know.

I think, as PC gamers, we can all laugh at this moron who's using the exact excuse console devs use to justify 30FPS laziness.

Alright, the crap battle is on! I have the polygons, textures, and everything else turned down to the minimum of tf2 turned down all the way, but I still get extreme lag... on offline training matches. one time, I was downloading a map to play on with a few of my friends, almost half an hour later the download had no progress at all. beat that. >:D

Battlefield Hardline: sub-60 fps, and 900p on PS4, and 720p on Xbone. Also looks like the same generic shit it's been, except with cops and robbers instead of war, destructible environments.

Obviously the human eye can't see above 30FPS, and the framerate makes it a more cinematic experience, because it looks funny above 60.

People will go to great lengths to defend their favorite companies.

Sadly, the advantages consoles had over PC are fading away into obscurity. You buy a game, bring it home, pop it in, and play. No bullshit, no gimmicks, just plug and play. I respect console gamers that are aware of the faults of consoles, and just want an easy gaming experience.

It's Payday 3 with conquest, not BF. Looks can be deceiving. 

From what it looks like, and from what I've heard, the campaign is some crappy crime show, and the MP is the same battlefield, instead in different settings from your typical BF. It doesn't look anything like Payday, aside from it being a fps, at least in my opinion.

Granted, conqeust does feel that way, but the new game modes feel like a payday ripoff....which isn't really a good thing, but credit where credit's due.

I dont know about you guys but I'm having fun with Hardline despite what everyone else is saying. Payday Rip off? Dear god no. Just because it has bank robberies doesn't mean its like Payday. They are two complete different games. The campaign is fun in Hardline as its interesting instead of a war. MP is much more infantry based and fast paced than Bf4. They play similarly yes of course, but it isn't just a reskin like everyone seems to claim without even playing it. I like Payday for what it is (Or... well, PAYDLC as it now should be called) But payday does so much wrong that prevents me from actually playing it more. 

 

 

Don't just assume stuff about games if you haven't played them. Gamers are so arrogant and judgemental about everything without even trying it. "Oh, Its cool to hate on this game? Let me hate on it too because I wanna be edgy!"
