Someone needed to make a thread about this AMAZING GAME.

Ghostie mentioned it being her favorite game. I can fully 100% understand her decision.

1. Morrowind

2. MGS

I would uhh....I would fix that lol.

And I found the game alright, gameplay is is solid but after growing up with various anime's and ova's I found the story kinda worn.

Let's not forget that soundtrack in that game, that's one of the things I remember abour Chrono Trigger so fondly! That and the way the characters actually had animations for starting battles. Watching Lucca (can't remember the name but the one with the gun) pull out her gun used to fascinate me XD

I recently started playing this game, and it is a pretty amazing game. I haven't beat it, but from what I've played of it, it's amazing. It's got an awesome set of well developed characters, a great story, and nice atmosphere. It's a pretty simple RPG so far, so I am getting through the game OK.

I like how the world seamlessly changes into battle from exploration. It's like the complexity of a Turnbased system + the convenience of an action rpg's combat

and the RCs dont piss me off

I played the game to near completion but I've always considered it an in-between game. One I would play while trying to figure out what else to play. I've also preferred Chrono Cross far more, granted the game ironically wouldn't be near as great without the foundation Chrono Trigger had laid.

Omg yes! and also the artwork made by Akira Toriyama! The characters! the plot twists! There's nothing NOTHING bad about that game other than that it ends :(

lolikr

Akira Toriyama makes any game better (Dragon Quest)

Ghostie, as in Rarity's husband?  He's a dude, dude.  But yeah, I remember him saying that!

I love Chrono Trigger.  My favorite part is doing the new game plus and just stepping on the wrong telepad thingy right at the beginning of the game during the Millenial Fair, and going straight to Lavos and kickin his ass.

This is one of my favorite game songs, and I just love her rendition.

1: Earthbound

2: Mother 3

3: Super Meat Boy

4: Chrono Trigger

5: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

So yeah, I love Chrono Trigger. I love that they actually had the balls to kill off their main character, in some cases permanently, half way through the game.

EDIT: how do I do spoilers

I often go back between this and Final Fantasy VI as my favorite SNES game. Getting Magus, Frogs story, the numerous ways you can beat this game ... love it.

Chrono trigger was one of those many RPG's that made it to the top with the different endings, back story and options within the game which simply made it a game worth while to play. Compared to other old RPG's like FF where it's fixated on one path, Chrono Trigger was one of the classic RPG's that changed the story as you play along which made most people play it again etc.

Mainly played it on the NDS. Sadly can't anymore D:
