I love the royal guard, but the show doesn't really expand on them besides protectors of the princess. Ranking structure, core values, their creed, it all disappeared. So what you and I shall do, dear brothers and sisters, is create the royal guard.

 

Here's what I think so far:

>Captain is the highest rank, below princess.

>ranking goes down from captain to the lowly Guardsmen, then up to Guardsman First Class, Senior Guardsman, and on and on to Sergeant, master sergeant, chief master sergeant, then enlisted officer ranks to captain.

>Creed would center on the Princesses then Equestria in ranking order.

>Duty before self

>Integrity and honor

>Excellence in all they do

>Royal Guards are to do nothing significant regarding the plotline, or intervene in a meaningful way in any precarious/ and or dire situation to assist a main/and or secondary character, unless the character in question is Pinkamena Diana Pie, who will not need your assistance, but will non the less request it because reasons. 

>Large bodies/groups of Royal Guards( atleast7+) are to randomly(and with great vigor) shout "Hail Lord Pinkie!" in unison atleast once in Pinkamena Diana Pie's presence.  

>Individual/small grouping(below 7) Royal Guards who are in the presence of Pinkamena Diana Pie are to say randomly(and with a elegant posture/tone)

"I am joyous in your presence, your majesty." 

>All Royal Guards are required to wear party hats(as long as they are appropriate) on fridays, saterdays, and days of great celebration. Party hats will be distributed 1 day prior, make sure you receive yours if you don't have one already.
