gaming AC: Unity Discussion

It's easier to just not buy the game. As  said earlier, not buying the game due to it being so bad will make Ubisoft make the next one better.

 

If AC: Revolutions is just as bad as this one, we'll know that Ubisoft didn't listen to their customers.

As long as they release patches that help fix the game, I won't complain too much. Honestly, while plenty of indeed lombasted the game and Ubisoft, it seems that there are plenty of other who aren't as heavy on it and find that there is an enjoyable game there.

As much as I see Your point I have to say something about it.

 

Ubisoft, by releasing such game spitted on us, customers. Just like everyone else who does same thing. They expect us to pay for half-finished product and will probably blame everyone but themselves if sales will suddenly drop. For me they can release as many patches as they want. I grew tired of game developers treating customers like this. I will not be buying Assassin's Creed : Unity. Even if they patch the whole thing it is unacceptable for me to release a game that is full of glitches. I was already fooled many times into buying games like this and never again. 

 

I know, that it is not possible to release a game that is 100% free of bugs. 50 years would still not be enough to make such game if it was supposed to be a complex one instead of simple Tetris lol. But there must be some limitations. When game is bugged to the point some players can't even play it due to glitch overload... this is the part where even a refund should be considered. I want to pay for a playable game, not thing that crashes behind every corner or has terribly low performance because of bugs. Just like I expect a refund for a broken music CD I want same for a broken game. 

 

 

Thankfully I was never looking that forward AC: Unity. It is not a historical time that sounds interesting to me and this is why I loved previous games. (well maybe except for AC 3, but it was because Connor annoyed me a lot, I loved walking around that forest in winter and overall world shown in it). I guess because of that I can rest peacefully and hope such incident won't be the thing in any of games I am looking forward to more.

Last of Us PS3 had multiple patches, one to fix a bug that refused to let you actually play the game. The PS4 Remastered version was not correctly optimized for the new GPU and has bad fade and pop-in of environments. 

Really? I didn't know about a bug that didn't allow you to play the game. I didn't know about the rest, i never had any problems with the PS3 version and I never tried the PS4 version.

I researched. Unity is full of bugs and fps is not even 30fps LOCKED. Very, very bad.

I've been playing through the game, i have nearly finished it and it's not that bad actually. I have come across a couple of glitches but nothing too serious, the game does feels buggy.

 

I didn't think the game was that good, at least compared to the AC Black Flag.

 

What i really hate is the lack of checkpoints. If you die you have to start from the beginning

I really don't get the big problem. Ubisoft had patches like 2 days later. It's not like the game is still full of glitches, it's now solved. 

 

And yes, it might be wrong from Ubisoft to release that game like this. Problem is, if they didn't release the game on that date, there would also be a lot of people angry at Ubisoft. No matter what, they would lose in this situation.

 

The big difference with games now and games back in the day, is that games have become so big and massive. The first games didn't even have a open world like we have it now. It's only logical that with these changes, it's way harder to get all the glitches out of the game. That with the fact that Ubisoft already released patches to solve the problems, makes me believe they don't deserve all this hate

I watched Achievement Hunter's LP of AC: Unity last night, and for the most part the game looked stable and very playable. Neither Ray, Ryan, Lyndsay, or Geoff complained much of any bugs or what not; aside from Ryan's Xbox One crashing at one point.

 

Now, there were some graphical and gameplay glicthes; but nothing too serious. There was one instance where Geoff was facing a group of Templars who had their swords drawn on him, but they weren't attacking him or anything; just standing there menacingly. Shortly after that, he was attacked by another group (I think) and when he attack them back, two of them fell over at the same exact time and MERGED to become one. Frickin' funny. XD

 

Yeah, the game is obviously not perfect and chould've used some more development time, but it is what it is at this point. Considering the obvious complexity of games these days, things like that should be expected. Again, I won't deny there are problems, but some of the hate towards Ubisoft might be a bit overblown now.
