I'm really wondering if anybody but me has heard of these songs. they're both extremely good and I kinda want your opinion 92 if you haven't heard it already. I listen to these songs when I get really frustrated and "attempt" to play drums to them. xD

Nice! I love The Fall of Troy, and Act One, Scene One is one of my favorite songs from them. Definitely an awesome band. Gutted I never got to see them live sad.png I'm gonna post some of their stuff here too.

I've been getting so much into Between the Buried and Me lately, they're so good.

I wanna get Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues and Alaska soon.

And I'm gonna post this song just for the heck of it.

So I was randomly listening to some songs of The Beatles yesterday. I'm not a huge fan of them, but I've been exposed to their music a lot due to the fact that my mom is a huge fan, plus I took a rock history class in college last year and I spent 5 straight weeks learning about nothing but the Beatles lol

I haven't really listened to much music today (Goddamn you, anime), but I did take my time to listen to Soundtracks for the Blind. I'm not sure why I didn't do this earlier, since I love The Seer, but hey, I did it.

And it was really dam good, a different and refreshing experience to say the least

Alright, I'm going to go and listen to some anime OP's for a few hours, see ya

I've tried several well received Neo-Psychadelia albums, but no matter how much I listen to it, I just can't bring myself to like it. The genre is just okay at best and gets incredibly boring very quickly

This is probably the only Neo-Psychadelia album I've listened to without sleeping half way through

I've...never heard of that genre in my life...doesn't sound like rock though >.>

Anyway, since I am posting in here, I might as well put up a song:

It's originated from Psychedelic Rock/Pop from the 60's, so it's technically rock

I'll post some great Progressive Rock from Sweden, Detta har hänt (HA, I CAN USE SWEDISH LETTERS ÅÄÖ) is a really good album. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants some unique and progressive music

Arguably the most famous neo-psych band in existence is The Flaming Lips. If you've been following music within the past 10 years, you have to know about them. My dad actually introduced me to this band via "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots," named for Yoshimi P-We of the Japanese band Boredoms, who appears on a track on the album.

This is such a good song, man, I love this. Especially the last minute or so of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYmvw5D9MfU

My favorite part is these lines:

Misery, I digress
No recourse, no remorse

So I'm listening to Sacrament by Lamb of God, and I think I like it more than Wrath. Wrath was actually pretty disappointing to me, I was expecting to like it a lot more. Ashes of the Wake is still way better than both Sacrament and Wrath in my opinion.

So why the hell did I never listen to System of a Down's self-titled album before??? It's really good, I'm definitely gonna buy it as soon as I have the money.

Me and @@Twiliscael listened to Marillion's "Brave" album last night at the same time, and we were both thoroughly impressed with it.

It's got the sound of classic rock radio but on steroids or acid or something. I'd say this is for fans of Rush, the Eagles, and Pink Floyd just before Roger Waters left the group ("The Wall," etc.).

Here's a fucking sick instrumental from my favorite Lamb of God album:

No harm, no foul, that's OK, don't worry about it
Because this is a new type of war, this is an eradication...

All right, well I listened to a whole Deftones album for the first time. I decided to listen to Diamond Eyes cause I like the album cover lol. It was pretty good, I'll have to check out another album, maybe White Pony.

Easily my favorite A7X album. The best guitar parts of everything they've ever done. <3

Also some of the best vocals out there. They really know how to make an epic composition. I haven't heard much of their newer stuff but I've yet to hear any of their music match up to this album in epicness. Edited by Discordian

Dude!!!! Discordian!!!! Yessssssssss!!!

That's my favorite Avenged Sevenfold album for sure, and one of my favorite albums in general. Their newer stuff isn't nearly as good, although I personally really like City of Evil.

Chapter Four, Remenissions, Eternal Rest, Radiant Eclipse, and I Won't See You Tonight are some of my favorite songs ever.

I'm glad to see someone else appreciates this album cause everyone else in the metal thread hates a7x for some reason :/

Except for Second Heartbeat I don't think I could rank any of the songs on that album higher than any other. They are all amazing.

Although the end to Eternal Rest is eerily awesome. Always hits home.

What I don't get is that everyone says this is their worst album and I'm like "Are you people crazy? Do you NOT hear that guitar!? The melody is just absolutely amazing. Nothing beats that!"

Second Heartbeat just came on as I was posting this. I am now going to rock out harder than I ever have.

Are you serious???? Any true Avenged Sevenfold fan knows Waking the Fallen is their best album. I hear a lot of people say the self-titled album is their best, lol yeah fucking right, that album is so boring.

Alter Bridge.

They're Creed, except better than Creed because of better vocalist and being more rock-y than grunge-y.

FEAST, PEONS.

I like the self-titled album and City of Evil well enough but neither of them have such a perfect blend of music. It's not enough for vocals to be clean or guitar to be complex, it has to work together and how many notes are in the guitar work and the tempo isn't gonna change that fact.

I've never heard that band before, but damn, that actually wasn't bad at all. They sound really familiar for some reason, like I feel like I've heard that vocalist before...

I actually thought that the guitar work in City of Evil was their most impressive. Just listen to all of the guitar solos throughout the album, especially in MIA.

My problem with the guitar solos in the self-titled album was that they sounded like he was just trying to play really fast and sound impressive, but the solos really just aren't very interesting. Afterlife is the most overrated song ever, it's so boring to me. I liked Critical Acclaim's solo though, that's practically the only thing I really like in the entire self-titled album.

Well, he also does vocals for Slash's side projects, but who the hell listens to Slash's side projects?

Speaking of Avenged Sevenfold, I liked them when they were actual metalcore, not the kinda-heavier-than-rock-but-still-not-really-rock-but-still-not-really-metal that they are now.

Plz don't crucify me for opinions :V

For more edgy rock like that, check out Bullet for my Valentine.

The vocals are definitely the high point of the self-titled album but my favorite songs are Lost, Brompton Cocktail and Unbound (The Wild Ride) from that. Creepy children singing ftw.

There's a reason MIA is my favorite song on City of Evil besides Blinded in Chains. For some reason Blinded in Chains grabs me every time I hear it. <3

I love BFMV but I haven't heard more than one album's worth of songs. I'll have to check this song out after I finish Waking The Fallen.

Again, I like all of their stuff except for most of their self-titled album.

The Art of Subconscious Illusion is fucking sick though, nice choice.

>implying that I've never heard Bullet For My Valentine lel

I like The Poison and I really like the song "Hand of Blood"

I made the mistake of buying their second and third albums, I ended up not really liking them.

And their newest album is so bad it's not even funny.

Dude...you and I are like fucking twins or something...just like me and SBB64 lol xD

Blinded in Chains and MIA are my two favorite songs on City of Evil, and I would probably put both of those in my top 5 Avenged Sevenfold songs.

The Poison is the only album of theirs I particularly like, really. I like the vocalist, though.

Sublime's not really rock, but screw it 'cause Sublime.
