"Bronies Spotted" Trend On Twitter And Social Networks

I am surprised *anyone* still gives a shit about bronies. I am sorry, but I don't see why people, even bronies, care about seeing other bronies or things related. Even the other bronies who act like we're super special or something because we take interest in a show and its fandom. Who cares? Stop defining yourselves or others strictly by their interests.

So it's just a case of the watchies and spies huh? I'm really quite surprised that some people haven't gotten over us yet especially since its been so long. Well if I ever see an unknown photo of me on Twitter or Facebook because of an idiot..I only hope they get my good side....OH Wait! I only have good sides! HE HO HA HU HA *cOUgh* *hack* *wheeze*...you get the idea..

well it seems that anything trends on twitter. Hopefully this trend ends soon but at the moment i find it funny that they do this, bronies have been around since 2010 so i don't see the deal with this.

In some places it is illegal, I don't know where exactly though.

I think in the US, it's legal because there is no expectation of privacy in public. It's a reason why it's legal to film law enforcement.

Stop defining yourselves or others strictly by their interests.

Sorry but that's never going to happen. Cliques and such things will always exist.

Fair point, I was probably venting when I posted that. I often find most of my issue resides with bronies getting worked up over these things, because to me, these little issues shouldn't matter, and I'm a part of the fandom. I dunno. In any case, cheers.

as they spotted some rare animal or something

We wouldn't be so 'rare' if people weren't so negative about us existing.

I HAS AN IDEA

LET US START A TREND TO COUNTER THIS AND SHOW THE TWITTERNETS THE STRENGTH OF LOVING AND TOLERATING

Take pictures of random people and say 'Non-Brony spotted!'

The internet would be so confused xD

This is disrespectful to these people and their privacy.

How would they react if there was something like... A hashtag, where anyone who took a food stamp card out of a guchii bag while wearing 30-dollar clothing and 60-dollar shoes was caught. They'd flip their **** like it was a bird.

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was akin to a slow death. I think that if we ignore it then they will just stop, because all they want is a reaction out of us although I can see it's a privacy issue.

I would just put 2 Middle fingers to the camera person and say "tolerate this"

Personally, I have never lived for the opinions of others about me, but rather, my own opinion about me, like me or not, it is no skin off this muzzle.

However show me friendship and I will give back friendship in spades.

Spot the Bronies? How about "Spot the Bronie spotters?".

Addendum: I do not wear, carry or display anything that is pony related in public.

Maybe I just don't know what to look for, but I can't think of any other fandom with people anywhere near as easily identifiable as bronies are. Never do I just walk through a store or down the street and think "oh, look, a [insert fandom demonym]" Sonic fans, Whovians, Trekkies... all of them have things they could wear or carry to make them easy to spot, but I honestly can't think of any instances where I have spotted them.

Bronies, on the other hand/hoof, wear clothes and accessories that make it obvious what they are pretty often. Some people are going to use this as an opportunity to make fun of us, sure. Can't get around that. To me though it's really cool and a little endearing. I love being able to spot another brony in the wild so easily. Let those outside the fandom laugh and jeer if they want to. Makes no difference to me and doesn't get in my way of enjoying anything.

In fact, I'm going to wear one of my pony shirts today when I go to the movies. Let's see if anybody puts me on Twitter.  :yay:

Just because somebody is not displaying any outward signs of MLP-fandom?

I guess it is usually hard to tell the difference between Bronies and Non-Bronies without asking, especially since not everyone has merch. Sorry, I didn't think about that ^-^;;

Hahaha! I wonder if someone will snap my picture while carrying around my Derpy tote bag. XD

If you have and in a populated area, there may be a good chance they have lol.

Hopefully nobody has taken any images of me with this, I look horrid in any picture I happen to be in. XD If this is still a thing, which I doubt, it is something that I don't really care about. People mock us all the time anyways for no good most of the time so whatever. :3

This is disrespectful to these people and their privacy.

I actually would love for that to become a thing so the people who control foodstamps can re-investigate some of those people to make sure they are not scamming the system. I don't think it's a good comparison as doing the "brony spotted" thing though.

So my thoughts on this: it doesn't matter. It's not worth giving any kind of reaction towards because every reaction is an overreaction really. Claiming "it needs to stop" or any kind of "defense", even one where you are being smug and being like "Ha! We are better than them so joke's on them", "We got them to think we're important, so ha!" is really just going to have a negative effect. I don't get why people think the whole passive aggressive thing will make people think better of bronies or flipping out on them.

The BEST strategy: don't do anything. If someone calls you out for being a brony just shrug and say you like a show and that's about it. When you make it into a big deal, it becomes a bigger deal. The majority of the people who troll bronies do so because they react. And you may think that "love and tolerate" and passive aggressive responses or "showering them with kindness" is the best way to counter them, but it's not. The ONLY way to stop trolling is to ignore it. Do not give them anything to feed on. You are not "winning" by saying love and tolerate, you're giving them things to go on. Trolls do not have a positive or negative goal, their goal is a reaction. Their goal is to get you to acknowledge them, so as long as you do that, you are making the problem worse.

Starve them of attention. Starve them of acknowledgement and don't give them anything to go on. They will get bored and move on.

I imagine them whispering things to themselves as they take the picture. "Here is a Brony in its natural habitat. Move slowly and keep hidden, 'less we scare him off. A remarkable creature, he is. Oh look! He's doing something. He's going to the McDonald's. What will he buy? This is so exciting! Wull he buy the happy meal? Will he? Yes he will! The lure of the pony was too much for him to handle! Simply marvellous creatures!"

By wearing clothing with printed designs from a particular franchise, you're basically making yourself a walking billboard. Either you're advertising what you're wearing or you're just showing off your interest, which in both cases should make you happy if people take notice of it. So really there is no reason to be upset about this, because the person who's wearing the shirt is the one who's wanting the attention.

It's illegal to post pictures of you without your consent. So go on Twitter hopefully some idiot took a picture of you, find it on Twitter, find the person, get a lawyer, sue them for millions, profit.

Even if its not illegal in your area there is still a good chance it will win in court.
