"no it's not like that, I know he has his flaws, but.... He's trying to do the right thing.... Look, I don't want to argue over something pointless, we don't have time" she said before rushing into the room of the cave where Elegron and cryssi were "oh...ummm..... Elegron, get up, rain needs your help!"

 

Elegron shifted and got to his hooves "what?" He ran outside to see what was going on "what's the problem?..... What? Darkeye? Is he.... Dead?"

Zac: 'Relax. Everything will pass simply. Rain is in a bad way, you should not be talking to me. Go to her and stand by her side, try and comfort her the best you can. That's what we do for our friends in tines of need.'

 

A sandstorm was brewing in the area of Election and his friends. A strong one at that as well. Cryssi was pulled from her rest by Zac and took outside to see what happened and to see the storm. Which was only a small wind right now, and also the setting sun.

 

Cryssi: "Everyone. We need to move Darkeye inside now. A sandstorm is coming and it will kill us if we don't get inside. And was anyone paying attention to the sun. It's going down. We need a safe place for the night. And the only place we have is one of these caves. I can set up another shield to repel against the Dark Magic. Hopefully."

 

Kalus needed his own place to stay, and either fate or some weird turn of events had led him to find an over watch of Cryssi.

 

Kalus: "Fates cards have been kind to me."

 

Phantom: "Lightbringer. He still lives. I wonder is he still has that knife of his."

 

Kalus: "Stay in your Crossbow. You shall not give us away. I do wish to speak to her, maybe I can get the attention of Zac."

Rave felt that night was beginning to settle in. "I will be going outside. You get some rest Dark. You have trained hard and well today". Dark Sun nodded. Dark Horn entered the room. "I will lead you to your quarters". "Ok". Rave glided through the halls and then up to the Stable doors. It was opened by one of Scar's cultist and then closed behind him as he exited. "Ah, it feels good to be outside in the dangerous dark. I can feel it approaching. Making me stronger". 

 

Lasher was looking at Darkeye's body. "Not so tough now I guess". He starts to help Rain, dragging him.

Elegrons horn glowed, taking a lot of the weight the two ponies were carrying. As soon as everypony got inside, Greenleaves spoke up "so.... I know a spell to revive him, but nowhere near enough power. Elegron, I think if you send power to me while I cast the spell, I might be able to do it."

Elegron looked at Greenleaves, then to rain. "Darkeye is a member of the white poison. I'm both sad and relieved that he's dead. Sad because I know rain is going through a lot right now, but at the same time....." He sighed "I owe you rain. For everything you've done, and the help you've given me.... I'll do it. Under one condition. Rain, I want you to do you best to prevent me from ever having to fight darkeye. You know that would ultimately lead to one of our deaths."

"Thanks Lasher, you didn't have to help me like that," I said. "I know where my foal is, but the stable is sealed shut and I can't accurately tell what I would possibly fight against if I even managed to get inside. I would need an army to storm that place and I am still a bit of ways from any WPS settlement." Laughing to myself in craziness, Rex approached. 'You going to be okay Rain? I can be here until the morning if you like.' Just then Rex's stomach growled like a bomb exploded. Suddenly realizing his hunger,"You have got to let me know when you are hungry Rex, even if something is going on," I handed him the last of the food from my bag, "we need to get you more huh?" Rex nodded in acknowledgement, 'I guess so, so are still up for tonight?' I laughed then, "Of course you can, you know your company is always welcome even if I like to space out more than I should." Elegron approached me then, "No, I am not sure it is how he would have wanted it. I never considered his death a reality until now. If I died I would want him to move on without me, not try to resurrect me again. It's not natural." Rex stayed close by my side, but polite to Elegron as he even realized what he was offering. 'I will support you Rain in whatever you do, just say the word.' I smiled at Rex, then looked back to Elegron, "I can see your trying to help but I'll contact blooddrop for a formal funeral with full rites instead. Thanks for your understanding, I want to be alone tonight, with Rex. I need time to think."

Lasher looked at Rain. "I can imagine that this will be hard for your kids, to be fatherless that is to say. He was a big shot within the WPS wasn't he? So to loose not only a normal father, but one that held such high reputation and esteem will probably be devastating. I am..... truly sorry". 

 

Rattlesnake walked about in his radio room. He was starting to get too old for this. He would need to find someone to replace him, someone who was as convincing as him and held his ideals. He had liked that kid that had come 10 years ago. He remembered the name. Cryssi. He chuckled as he was fixing his white beard. "Haven't heard from Red Beard in a long time".

Elegron saw an extra mark on his efs. A yellow one. He looked up to see Kalus "hey Kalus, it's been a while hasn't it. Well, not really that long, what bring you here?" Elegron decided to try beig more friendly than last time. He didn't really want anymore enemies than he already had.

"Good evening Equestria, this is your local and friendly Rattlesnake, bringing the true news, to you. Now, tomorrow ponies will be celebrating 10 years of WPS existence. That's right, WPS has now been around for exactly 10 years, helping us, making our lives easier, taming the land and bringing it back under pony control. We owe all of that to our Blood Queen and of course Rave Crystal who sacrificed himself for that to happen. Now with that aside, here are the news. Glyphmark has decided to betray our great community. The zebras of Glyphmark gave shelter to the terrorist known as the Stabledweller. Do not worry, Glyphmark is of no threat, they won't be able to do anything. Our wise Judge Darkeye sent ponies to deal with them and their warriors were laid low and their citizens punished for partaking in this terrorist plot. Also in the headlines, a mysterious explosion has been heard coming from Canterlot and one eyewitness saw that he saw green fires rise to the sky. Also, Ponyville seems to be in uproar, Darkeye and Rain cannot be found and a eyewitness says he saw a shadow take their son, Dark Sun. We will hope for the best. This has been Rattlesnake, bringing the true news, to you" the radio went silent.

Phantom: "Don't worry. The Crossbow is sealed so magic cannot touch it. Nothing."

 

Kalus: "Then how are you touching it?"

 

Phantom: "It's my magic. It does what I say."

 

Kalus moved to Elegron putting the Crossbow in his back, and the phantom Shut up. "Hey Elegron. Sorry about the intrusion, but I need shelter from the storm and their is no other place within a close distance. Do you mind if I join your group for the night?"

Lasher looked warily at Kalus. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be tracking Rave? Job too tough for you?" taunted. 

 

Rave glided about in the darkness. He could feel tormented souls, he could feel darkness. It enveloped him, soothed him, made him feel stronger. He saw light somewhere in the darkness and started glide towards it, blending with darkness.

In my own corner of the cave, ponies were around but tried to keep their distance. "I feel worthless no matter what I try, do, or even think. I am not sure how to cope with loss like this Rex." He moved closer, 'I haven't known you long but family loss seems to plague you. We should focus on making sure your okay.' "I know, but Ponyville needs a leader, something I feel far from right now. I practically abandoned Nightmoon and Violet," crying now on Rex, "I am failing apart. Unraveling with no place to hold on to..." I just laid on Rex now, watching my emotions and tears flow like a stream. "Widowed, negligent parent and leader." I stopped to think for a moment then made up my mind. "I am leaving Rex, you can carry Darkeye right? We are heading to Ponyville, I don't care about dark magic right now." I got up now. 'Wait! Your not worthless Rain, everyone has a bad day sometimes, you just need to hold on! It's not safe,' he said pleadingly. I was leaving the cave, with Rex following. I didn't care anymore. 'Let's stay at least for the night. Please?' I looked back, feeling heartless for the first time in a long time. "We are leaving Rex, Come on."

Rave had a tingling feeling. "Darkeye is neear. Butt I don't feeel anyyy lifeee comingg from hiimmm" he had started hissing again. His shadow melded with a stone not far from the cave entrance. He watched as Rain stood by the cave entrance, he saw Darkeye's body on the scorpion. "I guess you have finally met your end, my son". He would wait until Rain left the protection of the cave.

Other ponies were speaking but I paid them no mind. I had my own problems and I wasn't about to trouble them with my grieving process. I passed the barrier leaving, if no one saw me after this, I wouldn't mind at all I thought. 'Something tells me outside feels wrong, Rain. We can't leave now, not with you like this.' I stopped caring, and just continued on. Rex followed although, he had a slightly spooked appearance. I didn't give it much thought. The clouds in my head were too much. I haven't felt this level of depression since I lost Jack...

Phantom: "I can't just sit here like this."

 

A large mass of Dark Magic erupted from the Crossbow that had been attached to Kalus's back. It gathered in a mass about a foot away from Kalus. Within this mass, the faint body of a headless pony, with numerous cybernetics and a heavily reinforced Raider Barding could be seen.

 

Kalus: "You said you would stay hidden."

 

Phantom: "I lied"

Leone was too absorbed in thought to pay attention to the small talk but looked up once she heard the word 'Resurrection', dark memories filled her head, a big blur but she could make out many unicorn scientists huddled around a body casting one large spell, then the pony on the table emerged, but nothing felt natural or right, it wasn't the same pony anymore, hatred and darkness filled its eyes as it brutally murdered the scientists and the security measures went off setting the whole room on fire, the safety glass cracking a bit as the unnatural blight screamed in agony.

 

She snapped out of the memory as soon as the screaming stopped and looked up to see a pony leaving with a depression that seemed to radiate from it "Something doesn't feel right.." she said to Vestal and her feelings were right as a large mass of magic erupted from Kalus "I just can't catch a break around here." she said almost laughing.

Wade: "Really? 10 years and I don't even get a hey how are you? I guess we aren't playing the manners game then." Wade formed and ink well, a Quill and a clipboard out of Magic. "Daily to do list: 1) Follow Kalus. Done. 2) Find Elegron. Done. 3) Little Bit of Banter. In progress. 4) Savage murder. Soon. 5) Violate and Mutilate his corpse in every way possible starting with the most common and ending with the most messed up and plain wrong, that would make most Raiders hurl in disgust. Soon."

 

Kalus: "Subtlety brother. It's not in your vocabulary is it?"

"Long time no see. Anyway, I suggest you don't do anything stupid. You don't have much power as a ghost, and because I killed you, your even weaker against me. Your welcome to tag along, just be respectful and don't try to murder anypony." Elegron said cheerfully

Both Kalus and Wade laughed at the mention of the word Ghost, and how he used it to almost threaten him. Cryssi could also not hold back even a small giggle.

 

Wade: "A Ghost? Is that what you see me as? Ha. You are so mistaken. So sad. I'm a Phantom. Much more scary. Much more deadly." Wade threw Elegron to the ground with only a bit of effort using telekinesis. "What was that about being weak?"

 

Kalus: "Wade. Back in the Crossbow. Now."

 

Wade: "Why?"

 

Kalus+Cryssi: "Do it."

 

Wade: "Fine. See you soon. Lightbringer."

 

His mass of Dark magic returned to its poi the of origin with the crossbow.

 

Kalus: "I'm sorry for the way he acts, 10 years of not restoring his power or proper R+R do havoc to the mind. Again, hello Cryssi. Your mane is a mess."

Elegron chuckled after hearing about her mane "there's a reason for that" he thought for a moment "so wade is a powerful phantom then huh? I guess what you are in the afterlife is like what you were before you died. That's why jack was merely a ghost. I wonder what I'll be? Hmmm......" He caught Greenleaves look of "don't." She knew exactly what he was thinking.

"Now it's just that more tempting, thanks a lot Greenleaves" the two started laughing.

Kalus face hooved at Elegron, before looking at the ground around them.

 

"Get behind Cryssi's shield before you are corrupted by Dark. No questions just move."

 

Cryssi became very selfconscious about her appearance, and realised that she looked absolutely terrible. He mane was a mess and her clothes are in a bit of a bad state. She also forgot to wash the oil out of her wings, causing them to get a bit stiff. 'For the love of the sun, everyone please, do not make a wing boner joke.' She gave a quick look to Lasher, the only Pegasus who would most likely make a joke like that. Elegron most likely would also. "Fuck my life right now."

I only wear my armor when I need it, it's not very comfortable" he smirked "besides, I like to feel the wind between my-" strawberry lemonade cut him off "Elegron you should probably get in the shield, you can talk then. Actually, please don't" she said the last part with a grin.

He laughed before walking inside the shield "you should see the looks on your faces!"

As Rain stepped outside Rave started to move. He had felt Wade's magic. "That weakling again? The one that pretends to understand dark magic? Bah, he's weak, like he was before he died". Rave was not respectful towards ponies who did not delves as deep as him into dark magic. But that was the Crystal family arrogance. They were perceived as the greatest when it came to dark magic. It was their duty. Rave came up to Rain. He waited until she was behind a set of rocks so that no one in the cave could see her or her scorpion anymore. "Big mistake". A shroud of darkness started to form up behind Rain. It started to creep up towards Rain. Then it snatched Rain and pulled her up to a shadowy face. Rave's face formed and he had one red eye, where he had lost his normal one. "Helloooo thereee Raiiinnnn. Sooooo gooood to seee youu againnnn. Whattt magnificeeent foals you twoooo have producceeeed. Dark Sunnn will becomeee a greattt sorcerorrr. The greatesttt one in all of Equestriaaa". He started to send some of his corrupting magic inside her. The shadow grinned.

Cryssi's face turned crimson red with embarrassment, she really lost some of her dignity today.

"I'd much rather keep my clothes on. Especially considering the way you act around mares. I could do without the eyes constantly on me." She said trying to keep some of her dignity left intact. She had been caught with another Stallion, seen by everyone in a horrid state and forgot to clean herself after the earlier events. She really needed a bath.
