I got it on the day of release and I think it's pretty good. My family doesn't seem to favor it because it's not the country Taylor that they are used to. The tracks include:

Over the last two years since RED came out, I knew she was going pop. The only thing I currently hate about her is that she took ALL of her songs off of Spotify because she wanted to be greedy(she felt she wasn't making enough) and the fact that she wrote a song about how much she doesn't care which shows she cares way to much. So what do you think???..

I really love the album, easily my favorite Taylor Swift album and my personal favorite song is: "Blank Space"

I'm listening to it right now, and I'm liking it a lot so far. I already liked "Blank space", and "Shake it off" a lot before, so I'm not surprised I'm liking the rest of the album as well. I was never a big fan of Taylor Swift's country music, but she makes some pretty catchy pop tunes.

I frigging love that album. I love Taylor Swift, she's like my role model.

 

I for one love that Taylor went full on pop, change is good and keeps things fresh. All of her songs on the album appeals to me, I have them all downloaded, but I'm getting the actual physical album for Christmas. I don't use spotify or any streaming music player except for iheartradio on my xbox every once in a while so the whole spotify situation with her doesn't phase me. If she feels she's losing out on profit because of it then it is her desicion. Youtube has the whole album on there so people can still listen to it for free.

 

As for my favorite track...probably Bad Blood or Wildest Dreams. Again though, I love them all.

I've actually been listening to it too recently, and it's surprisingly pretty good. Not amazing, but much better than I expected. My personal favorite song is Welcome To New York.

 

I never was a fan of her more country songs, so I couldn't care less about the change in style.

I was worried that I wouldn't like this one because it was such a change in direction for her and I love her country albums. But I was pleasantly surprised! My favourite tracks are Bad Blood, Style and Blank Space.

I wish I could go and watched the 1989 tour but she's decided not to come to Belfast. Sadface.

I'm all for her going full pop. She was good country, and she's good pop, but her last album (Red) wasn't really that great at all. :/ The blend of country and pop never really did it for me, and songs like I Knew You Were Trouble & 22 were no exception. 1989 however, blew my mind in terms of quality, and while I still can't believe it's the only album to go Platinum this year, it's a pretty solid album with some catchy tunes. My personal picks would be Out Of The Woods, Blank Space, & Bad Blood.

 

Now Taylor Swift as a person? That's a completely different issue T_T
