What are the top ten things that drivers do that you hate the most? We get crazy drivers all the time around my city, so here are my top 10.

 

10. Cut me off

9. Sudden stops

8. Drive slowly through an 65 MPH zone.

7. Multi-tasking.

6. Talking on a cell phone.

5. Got the radio blasting during sleeping hours.

1. When I'm walking and I'm crossing the road and they are accelerating  then they stop right next to me and let me pass

3. When their music is so loud it can be heard outside

4. When they sound their horns for no reason

5.When there is water on the road and I'm walking there and they splash the water on me

1. Not following merging rules

2. Speeding up so I can't merge

3. Not giving me enough space when I'm merging

4. Merging from lane to lane in a mad fury trying to cut 5 seconds off of their final time

5. Drivers behind me getting mad when I give people space to merge in front of me. I guess that extra 1 second is really important to them :/

5) Talking on their cellphone (texting quadruples the anger.)

4) Failing to signal. Signalling isn't something optional, it's a nice and easy way to let people know what you're doing. Why you WOULDN'T do this is beyond me.

3) Driving 10+ under the speed limit for no discernible reason.

2) Cutting me off (if I was cut off while in a roundabout, the rage will be doubled.)

1) Tailgating. If I notice someone doing this to me, I drive intentionally slower.

not letting me merg so i have to go like 80-90 mph to pass them i so i can merge... speed limit is 70 here

 

and no offence to any Canadians here, just an observation but they blow down the highway at like 90-100 mph ALL THE TIME/cut people off ect..

I don't have a top five things but I hate it when people drive fast on normal roads and drive a couple meters behind me as if it will make a difference. We both still stop at the same traffic lights. And when people does anything to annoy me like not turn when it's their turn to do so or slow down for no good reason or not go when a traffic light turns green and stays there for five seconds or more.

I hate it when your just walking along at the side of the road and some guy thinks it's funny to randomly beep their horn at you while driving past to scare you.

5. When you're stopped side by side with another car at a red light and the people look over and stare at you. STOP LOOKING AT ME.
4. Inching/creeping up slowly at a red light a few seconds before it turns green just to get a teeny head start.
3. Weaving in and out of all the cars on the highway like a wannabe Nascar racer.
2. Not using blinkers to change lanes or to indicate you are turning at an intersection.
1. Following too close. UGGGGH. DON'T DRIVE SO CLOSE TO MEEEEE. #1 pet peeve.

5. Driving drunk. (It happens a lot more than you think, especially at night.)

3. Honking their horn. I hate horns. I hope that the person who invented them is BURNING IN HELL!!!

2. Driving in the bike lane. I'm a bicyclist, and I have at least one close call a week.

1. TALKING ON THE PHONE WHILE DRIVING. IF YOU DO THIS, PLEASE DROP DEAD AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

 

Edit- I also hate those assholes who think that they just because they have a fancy vehicle with lights and sirens, they can do whatever they want.

1. Driving slowly for no apparent reason

2. Driving slowly intentionally just because I'm in a hurry

3. Taking ages to make a single turn (and taking two lanes to do that)

4. Hugging a side of their lane and not allowing other cars to drive by their side

5. Phone + driving. That's a no-go.

 

Also, people, please don't drive slowly intentionally. Sometimes people are in a hurry and driving slowly isn't going to help them.

-proceeding to ride my ass even though I'm going the speed limit.

-cutting over multiple lanes, 1 guy pulled out of a parking lot area in front of a store and crossed over like 3 lanes all at once almost hitting me and a truck. I have no idea how he missed us.

-talking on their phone/texting. My mom does this all the time and it drives me insane.

-cutting off people. Shoot even if it isn't me I still get annoyed at how one jerk needs to speed up and cut someone off just to get ahead in a lane by one car. Like what. Was that nesscessary?

-not using turning signals. My mom sometimes doesn't use her blinker and it kinda irks my nerves. Same goes for when my parents use a stop sign like a yield sign.

Ohhhhooohhh man, do I only have to pick 5?

 

Little bit of perspective here: I run a busy rent-a-car branch. I won't say we've seen it all (cause the LAST time I said that, I found a pair of mules parked in front of my branch), but I've seen a lot. Some of these may seem off the wall or specific to my case, but I can assure you that I hate these habits with the destructive fire of a thousand blazing suns.

 

Ok, here goes: 

 

5: Double parking. I live on a crowded narrow street where parking fills up fast, and it's accessed by two blind corners. And there's folks that double park at the corners, making it really narrow to get around them. Which means your chances of being in a (albeit low speed) head on collision a lot more likely.

 

4) Not yeilding to a faster driver. I am blessed with living near a really good b-road. It's 1 lane each way, with turnouts every half mile or so. Now, I can shoot this road pretty quick. But you get some knuckleheaded mouthbreather who's never driven it before in a minivan and who doesn't understand that the turnouts are for slower drivers to let the faster ones past, that hits my angry button.

 

3) Folks who don't follow the "one car at a time" rule for mergng. This should be self explanatory.

 

2) People who run stop signs/red lights. This is more a pet peeve for me especially for bicyclists. I'm fine with sharing the road with you guys (even if you do look ridiculous) (actually that's the main reason), but if you shoot a stop sign at 25 miles an hour, I'm sorry. I think you should have to pay licensing and the cops should be able to pull you over and ticket you.

 

1) The king high bastards of the lot: People who drive Lexs RX450's. Why, you ask? Cause they're overpriced useless lux-wagons for folks who have more money than sense, and who have less driving prowess than sense.

10. No headlights on at night

9. No signal

8. Slow in fast lane

7. Fast in snowy weather

6. Texting.. especially during a red light (Don't notice when it turns green)... I've had people sit at the light for an entire red to green, then back to red cycle while texting.. 

5. People that drive super slow.. but then.. 'metal to floor' when it's a yellow light.. successfully leaving me at a red light.

4. Merging lanes without checking behind them

3. Tailgating

2. When you're going over the speed limit.. and their still tailgating you!!

1. Basically.. anything that isn't driving...
