Lorcan winces a bit when Chrissie jerks his hoof.
"SO....I wanted to ask you something personal....do you have PTSD?" Lorcan asks, feeling his hoof throb in pain a bit.
Lorcan usually had a high pain tolerance, but for some reason this injury was more painful than others he had previously.

"A PTSD? What's that?" Chrissie's eyws were wondering about the room. She sipped her mug of tea and stuffed another cracker in her mouth. She was happy,very happy with her success of bringing friends into her life. Chrissie put her cup down and marveled for a second on how just last year she was a newbie who had just lost her mom. Things sure have changed, huh?

"Post traumatic stress disorder. Its when you go through major trauma and still feel the effects of it later. Sometimes its months, sometimes its years, but it can happen. I only ask something this private because I saw you crying after staying still for a while." Lorcan says, stretching his bandaged hoof out.
"It would only be fair to say I suffer from it too."

Chrissie frowned. "No, I do not. I was just experiencing some...painful memories."  Chrissie smiled, tears welling up in her eyes. She was shaking. "It's nothing to be concerned about, really."  Chrissie reached to grab her mug but it fell and broke on the floor. Tea spilled evreywhere. Chrissie ran, tears streaking down her face into her bedroom. She locked the door.

"Chrissie...I.." Lorcan felt his heart sink. He should have known prodding the mare would upset her.
"I...just wanted to....BUGGER ME!!!!" Lorcan yells as he kneels down to pick up the shattered glass.
He looks around for a paper towel to put over the spilled tea while mentally kicking himself.
Cause that was an ok question to ask...holy hell i am such a hypocrite! Ponies ask me the same thing and I blow up...oh we were trying to help you....and then I say, I dont need help and storm away. I am just like the ponies who dont know how to mind their own business. BUCK ME!!! 
Lorcan finds a towel on the counter to put on the spilled tea. He had a feeling that her friends would try to exact revenge on him, so he made a logical choice. Lorcan flares his wings and flies towards the door as fast as he could.

Chrissie was on her bed. She clutched a picture of her mother, and was crying over it. Chrissie heard movement, and turned to see Lorcan running in. "Oh? You came..." Her eyes seemed distant but they acknowledged his presence. She turned on her bed to face him and held the painting to her heart. Her body trebled.

Midnight was enjoying herself at the get together. She especially liked it when every pony seemed to be happy about batponies. However, her attention was grabbed from the rest of the activity when she saw Chrissie break down into tears. She looked around the room as if looking for an answer as to why this was happening. She was debating if she would go comfort Chrissie or let her have some personal space. Midnight saw Lorcan help her, but still kept her attention on the situation.

Rave could not take it any more. He had seen Chrissie break down in tears and drop her cup. He immediately ran after her, in the direction of her room. "I hope she is alright, please let her be alright" he thought. He didn't want anything to happen to her. He came by the door. "Chrisse, are you alright?".

Sinu realizes what is happening in the other room, but does nothing, not even looking in that direction, because being looked at while crying often makes ponies feel worse. Instead, he listens carefully, perking his ears for the first time in a few days.

(Ignore my last post. I'm on the crappy school  computer and couldn't edit. Lorcan left Chrissie's house.)

Chrissie's ears perked up at the sound of Rave's voice. She looked over her shoulder, and smiled faintly. She was sitting in an a blue lounge chair, it looked old and dusty. Stuffing was spilling out the side. Chrissie held a framed picture of her mother in her hooves. "He..he asked me if I had PTSD...I said no. And I don't, it's just-I was thinking about her today. She loves tea. She taught me to make it with the flowers."

Lorcan rushed outside and kept flying.
it was better to be alone. He thought as he flew to the nearest library to read.
Lorcan huffed and picked out a classic poetry book to read. It was a book about a prince who was ran out of town for being mistaken as a beast.

Rave trotted towards her and sat next to her. "We all think about the past and it hurts, but that is what makes us wonderful. If we did not, it would simply mean we didn't care. I'm sure your mother was a wonderful mare". He hugged her. "I'm sure that Lorcan didn't mean to hurt you".

"Yeah, I know. I just didn't need to hear that. Especially since evreypony was having such a good time..." She sighed. "I diddn't mean to ruin your good time."

Chrissie walked into school the next day. She saw Lorcan and walked up to him. "Hey, how are you? Did you finish last night's homework?"

@, Diego had had a great time the night before. He had seen Chrissie run out but was sure that Lorcan and Rave had the situation covered. In any case, he didn't think it was a good idea for all of them to crowd around Chrissie's bed, he was sure that she would hate it. He waited for Midnight outside the school. "Hiya," he greeted her when he saw her.

Rave walked around the school hallways. Looking for Chrissie and the others. Last night had not really ended the best way possible, but due to them all being social rejects and having experienced bullying, one could not expect that there wouldn't be any difficulties. He hoped to be able to help Lorcan, Sinu and Chrissie. Rave felt they all deserved to be happy, much more than himself at least.

Lorcan got up the next morning after spending hours at the library. He gets ready for school, knowing Chrissie or one of her friends would confront her. The thought of how the conversation would go made him cringe. Lorcan trotted to school wondering what he would do if and when he was approached by Chrissie.
I know....I can act as if I lost my voice.....that will work...and then I can just go back to isolating myself.
Lorcan wanders around the school's campus waiting for class. Suddenly his fears come true as Chrissie approaches him. Lorcan shook his head and quickly wrote down a note reading, 'Can't talk, blew my voice box shouting. I finished my homework.' and showed it to her.
To think...i could have connected with her through a common fault...I thought I found somepony who knew the struggles of having PTSD...guess I'm the only one who has it around here.

When Midnight saw Diego, she quickly trotted up to him. "Hey." She said with a smile, but quickly got to what she had wanted to tell him. "Look, I gotta show you something, but no pony else can be around." She said keeping her voice down. She was of course referring to exposing her batpony self.

Sinu stands at his locker, next to his oversized instrument case, quickly getting all of his papers. Like almost every day, one jerk with no talent, whose locker in coincidentally next to Sinu's, walks up and slaps him. Sinu ignores this stallion, and he would never say anything because this was never more than an annoyance. Then, the stallion punches him in the side of the neck and says "Colt, get out of the wa—" He is interrupted by Sinu spinning around, holding his muzzle shut, and yelling in his face "STOP NOW, YOU IDIOT."

Rave was still looking around for his friends. He wondered where they could be. Students he passed by gave him stares of disgust, however, they seemed to be leaving him alone for now. He saw Sinu yelling at a stallion and ran up next to him. He looked at the other stallion. "Is there a problem here?" he asked, his horn glowing dark.

Sinu quickly releases the stallion, who walks away surprised, but unshaken. As he leaves listening distance, Sinu immediately begins to talk to Rave in an incredibly fast and seemingly angry voice, almost yelling. "No. In fact, it would have been great if you were not to say anything as this is clearly not any type of confrentation here that would require the use of whatever it seems that you were about to do or even to say anything at all because you could have just kept walking without looking over and this isn't even something that I would report regardless of how many times it happens."

@, "Sure, we can go behind the storage sheds," Diego said, wondering it was that Midnight was going to show him. "I go round there if I want to smoke a cigarette and not get caught. Nopony ever goes there; come on, I'll show you."

 

The storage sheds were round the back of the school and it was there that all the junk was stored, along with items such as the janitor's lawnmower and tools.

@@Rainbow Dash, Chrissie frowned at Lorcan when she saw him. "You don't think I'm still mad at you,do you?" Chrissie hoped he was actually sick and wasn't just faking it so the two wouldn't have to talk to each other. "It's okay Lorcan, I forgive you. I am sorry though that I got upset with you. I realize now I should have spoken to you all about it instead of keeping it to myself."

Lorcan shrugged and wrote down on his notepad.
'Well thats good..but like I said my voice is shot for the day.' Lorcan showed Chrissie.
How could he reveal his flaws? How could he be so foolish as to trust this mare? These thoughts ran through Lorcans head

Midnight followed Diego to the back of the storage sheds. When she got there, she quickly looked around to see if any pony could see her. Once she concluded that the coast was clear, she looked at Diego and took off her hood. She was smiling with excitement that she could take off her hood in front of sonepony she trusted. "Well, I'm a batpony." She said not knowing what else to say. She still didn't dare to show her natural tail though.

Rave sighed. "I was only trying to help. You are not alone you know. If you ever need help, let me know". Rave trotted away.

Rave started to look for Chrissie and Lorcan, to see if they were alright. He trotted around and eventually found the two together. He started to approach.
