I consider myself a bit talented at namesmithing, so I thought I'd make a thread more or less specifically to help others with that purpose. It might not be fast but I promise I think hard about this stuff so you can expect quality.

 

Take my OC, Dulset Tarn for example, that saucy kelpie in my avatar box. A lake monster with seaweed for hair, singing like a siren to lure gullible to a watery abyss? Well since dulse is a kind of seaweed and a tarn is a variety of lake, and it sounds a lot like dulcet tones, viola you have Dulset Tarn! Took me two weeks to come up with that one you know.

 

So hey, if you need help with an OC's name, just give me a description of their appearance, personality, job, and talent, and I'll get working on it! I do expect most of the character to be done already. In my opinion, the name should almost always be the last thing one attaches to a character, so please don't show me a picture and just ask for a name without anything to go in.
