My Little Pony Meets Epics from India!

Hello everyone! This is a picture I finished recently. I enjoy reading world literature, and wondered what it would be like to incorporate MLP imagery into scenes from literary epics. This scene is inspired by literature from India. It's a drawing with colored pencil.

I'm sorry the quality is not ideal, but it's the best I could do with the camera I had. The color looks better in person. I still think the general idea is conveyed though.

I hope you all enjoy viewing it  :) post-31859-0-94548700-1422763894_thumb.jpg

Thank you for viewing!

Ooh! That's such a beautiful picture! It looks like it could have come right out of the Bhagavad Gita! Also, such an interesting concept. I love the idea of incorporating Ponies into such things. It instantly makes them 20% cooler! I look forward to seeing more of your work. It's wonderful!

Thank you Poni-namous, I really appreciate that! Yeah Bhagavad Gita is one of my all-time favorites. I thought it would be a unique idea. The picture's concept is inspired by Devadatta, the steed of Kalki in Indian literature.

There will be more such things on the way- the next one will feature Sleipnir from the Norse epics with a new MLP twist  ;)

I really like the coloring in this pic, I've not a big fan of colored pics (mostly because I'm bad at it) but this looks pretty well done. Never thought of incorporating MLP with deities its pretty unique. ^_^
