Rules.

 

1. Human characters only. Yes, you can RP your pony character as a human, just make sure that you adjust them to fit the RP.

 

2. Try to keep the groups even; more humans than ghosts are preferable. If you want two characters then have one of each please!

 

3. Try to post at least twice a week. If for some reason you can't post, then let me know!

Plot.

 

A group of young adults are moving into a new house. They are excited, as this will be their first home together after the family homes they have left. They are looking forward to the future, and plan to enjoy themselves as young, independent people. But little do they know that their house is haunted. The house is old, at least five hundred years old, and has a troubled and frightening history. It was first built as a private residence for the lord of the manor, but has also done time as a hostel and also as a mental asylum. Over the centuries, people have died there. And some of those people have never left.

The group know nothing about this. As far as they're concerned, this house is the perfect place to live. It's large and spacious, and was sold to them for a knock down price. They don't mind about the age of the house, or about the decrepit old rooms. These can be dealt with, by use of fresh paint and wallpaper. The group are moving in today, and they plan to live here a long time. But perhaps the spirits living here might have other ideas. Some of these ghosts have been living here for centuries. And they have no intention of sharing their home with the living.

My Characters.

 

Name: Victoria Blake.
Living/Ghost: Ghost.
Age: Victoria died when she was nineteen. She's been a ghost for so long, she's forgotten how many years it's been.
Appearance: Long brown hair and grey eyes, very thin, boyish figure. When she appears as a ghost, she looks like this. Victoria always wears a dirty white nightdress, cuz that was the clothing she died in.
Personality: As a living girl, Victoria was shy and withdrawn. As a ghost, Victoria tends to be manic at times, miserable at others. She's deeply paranoid and hates men, tho she doesn't mind women so much. She can be spiteful at times if she takes a dislike to a resident.
Short Bio: Victoria was admitted to the asylum after she was raped by her stepfather and fell pregnant as a result. She gave birth in the asylum ward and her baby was forcibly taken away from her. Victoria is perfectly sane, but her stepfather was able to force Victoria's mother to sign the slip to get Victoria committed, in order to get rid of her so that he'd get away with his crime. Victoria was only fifteen when she was committed, and nineteen when she died. The asylum medical staff neglected the patients, and some even were deliberately cruel. Eventually, Victoria committed suicide by hanging herself with her bedsheets. Her body was buried in the asylum graveyard, which now has been paved over.


Name: Emily Browne.
Living/Ghost: Living.
Age: 20.
Appearance: Emily has jaw length blonde hair, with pink streaks in it, blue eyes and is average height. She's curvy with a tendency to plumpness, which she hates.
Personality: Emily is always trying fad diets to try and slim down, which fail as she cheats her diets and gives up very easily. She loves to organise and is very bossy. Emily can also be lazy, especially when doing things she finds boring, and has a hot temper.
Short Bio: Emily finally decided to move out of her parents' home after she got into university to do a degree in English. She took two years out before starting; firstly to travel in India and second to work to build up her bank balance before beginning her studies. She doesn't like the house at all, cuz to her it feels wrong. Emily only agreed to move in cuz the house was so cheap.

Living/Ghost: living

Age: 21

Appearance: 6'2", 182 lbs. Shaggy/unkempt dirty blond hair with Crimson tips. Caucasian, Light blue eyes. Wears glasses with black frames. Upper-Middle tooth is chipped. Has a scratch on his nose. Wears a black, analog watch. Has a blue tee shirt under a red over shirt. He has blue jeans. He wears white tennis shoes. 

Personality: Flaws: He is Childish, He doesn't take most things very seriously, Doesn't make sense some of the time, Lazy, Acts stupid allot of the time (acts as if his IQ is 99), sometimes can lose his cool easily.

Strengths: Actually pretty smart (IQ: 113), Loyal, He is pretty tough (Meaning that he is durable, when he gets hurt he prefers to forget it ever happened)

Short Bio: Born: Brownsville, Texas. His parents were both recovering addicts who were sent to prison many times when he was young. He spent allot of time with his grandmother when they were both in prison. When he was 15 his parents were almost fully recovered, they were working, and it seemed that everything was going good, even though they were still economically challenged. Through High school and College, to avoid being messed with by the local Bullies for somewhat being the geek stereotype, he started to act a few points below his IQ unless only around his friends who were allot like him, and he would wear contacts through most of College. Before continuing college to get his masters in Geology, He moved into a house that he felt seemed a little funny but it was cheap so... YOLO.

Appearance: Has grey hair, Blue eyes, is very wight and wears a wight jacket with a brown shirt under it, blue jeans, he is thin and does not look very strong

Personality: Flaws: does not like doing things last minute, can change emotions very quick, likes to snoop around alot, can get angry very fast

Strengths: is very oganized, he is very freindly, has a IQ of 122 i.e smart

Short Bio: He was born in florida with his two parents, his mom was a baker at her own bakery, his father was a ceo of a bank, he grow up very privaliged and went to private schools. After his high school education his parents convinced him to go to a collage near his grandparants, he lived with them for a while untill Chain found a house in the paper that was like a mansion. With exitment he decided to treat him self by going to a mall meeting some new friends on the way. after a while Chain brought up the house to the others because they each had a reason to want to be there, but he was runing low on his parents money so he said we can pool it to get the house and now he is at the house were he wants to find more about this place since the people how sold it to them did not give much information

Name: Cliff "Rush" Gunderson

Living/Ghost: Living

Age: 19

Appearance: Exceptionally large, being well over six feet feet tall with broad shoulders and a great deal of muscle. He has the blonde hair and blue eyes of his nordic ancestors, and generally handsome features. A few scars mark his body here and there, remnants of the many fights he's gotten himself into. Generally dresses very casually and rarely puts much thought into his appearance.

Personality: Rush is someone generally pretty hard to ignore. Aside from his impressive stature, he tends to be rather loud and has a fiery temper. Although he's calmed down somewhat since his younger days, he can still be very wild and isn't someone who's bad side you would ever want to be on. That said, he can be a very kind and friendly person most of the time. As a kid, he liked to get into fights, and was quite violent, but he tries to restrain himself now because he doesn't really want to hurt people... usually. He's the type of person who likes to move fast and take the direct approach (hence his nickname), and he doesn't have a lot of patience. If he wants something, he'll usually go straight for it. He has a big ego, although there's an underlying insecurity there that sometimes comes out. People often call him stubborn, although he might perhaps prefer to think of himself as determined. Although he works out primarily because he legitimately enjoys it, he does take pride in his muscles, and specifically in his great physical strength. This strength is offset by the fact that he's not all that bright, although sometimes he can surprise people.

 

In matters of romance, Rush is very lustful, and very... straightforward. He's been around quite a bit, and wouldn't hesitate to tell you as much. He does have a legitimately romantic side, although he's more motivated by lust and physical attraction most of the time. He loves the company of a good woman more than just about anything, although he has a sort of honor in that he never cheats or has a relationship with more than one woman at the same time. Most women find him attractive, and he rarely has any trouble finding a date.

 

...Also, although he's never told anyone and would probably deny it if it came up, he has an attraction to somewhat larger women. However, he's sort of embarrassed by it and normally dates slim women anyway, although they aren't always quite so slim after dating him for a while.

 

Short Bio: Rush's childhood was spent moving all over the place, not because his family had to move a lot, or because they liked to travel or anything, but because he was constantly getting in trouble and being kicked out of school. His father is a wealthy norwegian businessman, and always sent him to prestigious private schools where Rush would end up starting fights and otherwise causing trouble until eventually the school got fed up with him. As a result, he hopped from one boarding school to another, all over England (his parents having moved there before he was born) and in several other countries as well. In his later teenage years, something sort of clicked and he calmed down a bit, finally managing to stay at the same school for the last few years of his education. When he was younger he played all kinds of sports, but after calming down somewhat he decided to stop because, while he excelled at a variety of sports, the competitive aspect of it brought out the worst in him, and caused his temper to flare up. Frankly, this was a rare moment of maturity and wise introspection for someone who tends to rush into things without really thinking. Since graduating high school, he's been working various jobs mostly in construction and such, putting his size and strength to good use.

Name: Kaymen blooblood (alias, real name Kyle brown)

Living/Ghost: living

Age: 19

Appearance:

Blue hair, pale complexion, always wears dark clothes other than the small blue cape he always wears.

His hats is spiked down in front of his face, covering one eye. He is rather thin as well

Personality: kaymen has always been brash and rude, and often closes himself off from others. And if he ever loses his cape, he will sink into a state of depression upon knowing it's gone

But he is quick, always is willing to show everything he's got, even if it hurts him and those around him, and is stronger than he looks.

Short Bio: when kaymen was very young, his parents died to a freak accident so he was sent to live in an orphanage for most of his life. He hated living in the orphanage, they had taken his cape multiple times to wash it, his cape was the last thing he has of his parents and it means everything to him. So one day, the day of his tenth birthday, he ran away to live on his own. He managed to survive on his own for years, then he meets a group of people who tend to cling to him a little more than he likes...maybe they thought he was their friend...well, they were wrong. That's when one of them decides to make us all move in together. Of course, as long as kaymen was left to his own devices, he was fine with it, new roof sounds fun to him.

I do have some ideas for a ghost, but I need to know first, exactly how old is this house, and can the ghosts be from a time before the house was there (they would still have died in the area)? Because depending on your answer, I might end up going way back for this. Or I might end up doing something more recent anyway. But I'd like to know what my options are.

Appearance: Spectral appearance, but not particularly scary. Wears a pair of blue jeans, and a red shirt(long arms). 'Barefooted'. Small bit of brown hair, and nothing facial. Eyes are 'Empty'.

Personality: He is annoying, and he loves it. Loves to vaguely haunt people then and then to freak them out, but he's helpful at times. Doesn't see the gravity of a situation at times. Loves messing around and humor, basically a child at heart... If he still had one. Sometimes forgets the people around him are alive, and might do something rash...

Short Bio: Mark did not have quite an interesting life. He was born in a small village in the middle of nowhere, his mother dying in the process of his birth. Thus, he was the only child of the family, and lived alone in one of the village homes with his father, who had gotten increasingly depressed every week for multiple reasons, one of them being that hey barely had any money to live with. Mark usually tried to cheer his father up, which never worked, so he had given up at one point. The school there was very small, and didn't have much to work with, so his education didn't go to well. Years passed away, Mark never doing anything interesting except working at his neighbors farm for currency. Nothing really happened when he reached Adulthood. He simply didn't care. He wasn't interested in any of the village-girls, and decided to just continue what little he had been doing all those years. One night, he was walking through the village, the moon being his only source of light. He was walking home after a long day of work, and was looking forward to a long nap. Little did he know, that a long nap was exactly what was going to be delivered to him by a dark-clothed man stalking behind him. He heard the sound of metal being removed from its sheath, and everything went black after a sharp pain.

Bio: He was born to a well off family. His parents are divorced. He went to a posh boarding school and graduated below average in his class. He's now a literature student who needed to move out from his parents. He saw an ad for the house and it was something affordable.

As much as I'd like to stick to my word and go back really far, I've decided I don't have the patience to go research enough to be able to roleplay a ghost from pre-christian England properly. Not the way I would want to have done it, at least. So I'm going in a completely different direction.

 

Also, before I forget, there was one thing I had accidentally left out of Rush's bio (although given how long his bio was already, perhaps that's for the best). While he isn't exactly selfish, and is actually often quite generous- especially if a girl is involved- he does have a certain tendency not to be entirely considerate of other people. Not in a mean way or anything, but he just doesn't necessarily always think about how what he wants might not be what everyone wants.

Name: Terrence Winters
Living/Ghost: Ghost
Age:  Died at the age of 31 and has been dead for 90 years.
Appearance: Slim and maybe slightly taller than average, with short dark hair. Usually appears wearing an expensive-looking suit.
Personality: A compulsive gambler his entire life, and even still after death, Terrence is always interested in the possibility of a game or a wager. He can be somewhat unpredictable as a result, because while he always follows through on his wagers, he doesn't often lose to begin with. Not that he cheats, necessarily, but he may try to trick you or tip the odds in his favor. It was, in fact, such tendencies that led to his death, murdered by someone who didn't take their loss too well. Terrence is usually a nice guy, though, and doesn't generally haunt people in a malicious way. When he shows up, it's probably because he's bored and looking for a game. Or because he spots an opportunity for a wager he simply can't pass up. He generally seems to be a pretty happy guy, for a murder victim.
Short Bio: In life, Terrence was always traveling around, looking for high stakes and big thrills. It was while he was a bit down on his luck that he ended up staying at a certain hostel where a man he'd beaten out of a considerable fortune in a game of pool a few years back finally tracked him down and killed him. As a ghost, Terrence simply accepts this as part of the final run of bad luck he'd had at the end of his life. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. As long as he can keep playing, he'll manage.
