MysticShine 529 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 If anyone on this site has been over there, you'd know it's pretty rough, especially in the Sonic Games section. I'm shocked by how much friendlier these forums are. I've already made four friends here, and on SEGA Forums I only got three page views.
Hovershy 3,814 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 This is probably the most non-toxic, friendliest forum I have ever seen. I really love it here. It honestly makes every other forum community look terrible, but I think it's just because this place is so great. 11 Fluttershy Fan Club sig by Blue Snowfire
CC_Maud_Pie 6,431 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 Yes! These forums make many forums look bad. I've once looked into a forum for fans of one soccer team and many members insulted and called out others who didn't agree with their thoughts. 5 All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.
Astral Blitzen 469 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 I prefer the forums over at Derpibooru, due to the low amount users there everyone seems to know each other, and the staff is (thankfully) a lot more lax there. You have more freedom there is what I'm saying. 1 *Slurping up a pink whale through a big straw while in a swimming pool filled with trash and some kinda gravy*. MysticShine 529 February 14, 2015 Author Share February 14, 2015 Nope, it does nothing at all. There is a loading sequence at the top of the screen, and it takes me down to the reply box but it stays blank.
Windseeker 546 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 There's uh... plenty of Sonic-based usernames there. You'll be quite surprised how anachronistic some forums are. Like Erepublik for example, its forums are ran amok of hackers and veteran trolls that throw the word 'faggot' around like confetti.

Discordian 6,015 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 The Sonic community is a terrible place. No matter where you go you will get assholes, bullies, whiners, hipsters, suiciders...bleh. Even as a massive Sonic fan I've never been on a Sonic-dedicated forum but I was on many of the Sonic game boards on Gamefaqs a few years ago. Let's just say they were the most horrible people I've ever met. But where are my manners? Welcome to MLPForums where everything's made up and the points don't matter! (I may be a bit late ) If you can't get the quoting system to work you can still use the mentioning system with this code: [.b]@[m.ember=USERNAME HERE][/.b], without the periods and an actual username in the quotes.
[NULL] 906 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 I think we can thank Sonic '06 for that. Or was it Sonic heroes? I don't remember. This is probably the most non-toxic, friendliest forum I have ever seen. I really love it here. Odyssey 5,717 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 To be honest, I don't see the big deal. The Sonic and SEGA communities aren't perfect, that's for sure, but not every website is going to be filled with super nice people... or nasty people, for that matter. I've been on plenty of toxic sites and situations myself to the point where it doesn't matter anymore for me. This can range from this site to the most brutal sites.
MysticShine 529 February 14, 2015 Author Share February 14, 2015 There's essentially a three way schism between the "Classic Fans", "Adventure Fans", and "Modern Fans". Most "Classic Fans" will stalk forums and begin putting down anyone that likes any of the games after 1993. "Adventure Fans" complain chronically about the current state of the franchise, and are waiting desperately for Sonic Adventure 3, which will never happen. (Because it was *cough* Sonic '06 *cough*) The modern fans typically aren't that bad from what I've experienced. Sonic Team has caused so many divisions because they do a complete 360 every time another game comes out.

Do I win the internets? SONIC SUPER FANS FTW. I really need to get a subscription for the comics. I'm so very behind on them and I don't really know what's been going on. The last major thing I heard was Sally got roboticized or something.
MysticShine 529 February 14, 2015 Author Share February 14, 2015 I like all of them too. I have honestly read only a couple of the comics, but that's because I'm not a very big Comic person.
CaptainDoubloon 856 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 (edited) I don't really pay attention to the Sonic timelines or lore but I loved the Sonic Adventure games and would love to play another one. I also loved raising the chao's and beating all the levels in chao karate. I had a red angel chao named Edge. MysticShine 529 February 14, 2015 Author Share February 14, 2015 I used to love the Chao garden on SA2. I think that was the only reason I played that game so much.
Toaster Bot 183 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 (edited) I personally haven't been to Sega Forums, but I have been to Sega-16, which is for fans of the Sega Genesis. Warning: do not dare insinuate that 1995 isn't when the game industry completely and irreversibly died. Don't even insinuate that a game made beyond 1995 has potential, unless it's an original Genesis homebrew IP. Doubly so for Sonic games. I imagine Sega Forums would be worse, having more than just a major population of Genesis-era purists. Still though, at least the conflict made the place feel lively. Edited February 14, 2015 by Toaster Bot 1 I don't like you. My OC's thus far: Feverfew
BayoUni2847 528 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 I completely avoid any major Sega related forums, especially Sonic ones. If someone wants to rip another persons' head off for liking/disliking a game or an era in which the game was released, they should probably stay away from internet forums. Or people in general.
