Being There For Someone

I wasn't sure if this idea was worth creating a thread over, but I might as well since I'm already writing it. One of the things that I love more than anything is to help someone feel loved and wanted. There's so many people out there who are depressed and feel like they're completely useless. The feeling I get when I just talk to them and make them feel special is like nothing else. It makes me think that right now someone is getting their hope back. Someone right now is realizing that maybe they're not so useless after all. Does anyone else share my love for helping depressed people feel great, or is it just me?

I usually just tell them that I care about them, which is true. I care about everyone. No one deserves to feel useless.

Same. Despite my advice/actions sometimes making things worse, I always want to help those in need.

I make it literally my job to. I constantly attend to the life advice section to help people out and when people thank me and feel happier is just makes me melt inside.

I'm always there for someone. Sometimes it doesn't work out so well in which case I still try to come to their aid to at least silently acknowledge I care about them. Helping someone is something I love doing. When they feel better it makes me feel better too.

I do support them with all my heart, but most important of all I'm trying to help them become stronger and more independent, because in the end they are the ones who could truly help themselves.

Aye, i love helping people. It is what I'm really good at doing. When I see someone sad or crying, I go over to them and tell them a little story or tell them something that'll make them feel alot better than before. I don't wanna see people depressed or lonely, it reminds me of the childhood I had to deal with, and I don't even think i have a good memory of being a child. Not fun times at all.

I always want to be there for my friends in whatever way I can. Sometimes I'll visit the Life Advice section too, but for the most part everything I intend to say is already being said.

 

That said, while I'm quite adept at reading people I know well, I'm not as good when it comes to people I don't know. That means I'd have to ask questions they might not want to answer to someone they hardly know, so I'm not entirely sure how I can best help people. I'm always there to listen, though, should that be necessary.

I am currently being there for a lot of people. Can get quite difficult, but I think it is worth it.
