Ahuziotl= Homme Fatal  

 

Mane-iac= Femme Fatal

 

2) They are over the top villains

 

3) They were originally from stories

 

Mane-iac=comic book

 

Ahuziotl=Novel

 

4) Ahuizotl is old world due to his theme, and Mane-iac is new world

 

5) They are big bads of their enemies

 

I could go on... but I fear the truth is in the pudding. :<

They were both only shown once in the show, and after that they were thrown away. A small appearance doesn't make them a character in the show, just a plot device. They had no real purpose but for that, just to move the story along. If you want to believe that, its your choice.

The bias smells like a bunch of bull. Though, why do you think Mane-iac would do that, while Daring does that as well with Ahuizotl? I know they're enemies, but it still is bias.

Ah, I see. I count both Read it and Weep and Daring Don't.

If you had lines, a personality, and you did something in the story, you're a character.

Not necessarily a fully fleshed out one, but you are a character.

 

But you don't need to be aggravated about it. What's wrong with fans enjoying one time character and expanding on them?

Calm down buddy, you're taking this a lot more seriously than I am. XD

 

I kind of think of Daring and Ahuizotl as characters that COULD get along. The problem is one is a hero and the other a villain.

The Mane-iac is one the villainous side like Ahuizotl, so there's no conflict of interest, but she's kind of loud and shrieky.

 

More importantly though, she's still fictional while Ahuizotl is not.

But shoot don't let that stop you. If Rainbow Dash and Sonic the Hedgehog can have a following, you go right ahead.

In this fandom, I'll bet this cereal I'm eating right now that someone else ships Mane-iac and Ahuizotl already.

It's fine, it's just I was trying to take your side originally and you seemed to get annoyed at me for some reason.

 

Well first off I'm not sure why you think Daring fits better in the world than Ahuizotl does.

We've seen tons of crazy mythological creatures in the show (they added a friggin' Tatzlwurm)!!

I think it's AMAZING that they pull out such an obscure one from a mythos as overlooked as Aztec. I have literally never seen an Ahuizotl used anywhere else ever, and in fact didn't even know what it was until the show made me look it up. I love him to bits.

 

Anywho, my actual reasons I like the Darizotl ship pretty much boil down to it being a veritable checklist of romance tropes that I like (Foe Yay, Interspecies, Beauty and the Beast) coupled with the bajillion story ideas that spring to my mind when I think about them. Also they make me laugh. I'm planning on doing the 100 Themes challenge on DeviantArt with a focus on Daring and Ahuizotl (and Caballeron as well).

 

But we should probably stop derailing the OPs thread.

I don't see what the hate is all about.  I think it definitely could work.  I mean, what if Ahuizotl reads comics and he fell in love with Mane-iac because he can emphasize, you know, being a villain and all, and then he sets out on this epic quest to steal enough magical thingies to join her in the comics, constantly fighting against Derring Do and leaving insurmountable destruction in his wake but he just doesn't care because he has to meet his true love and then finally after an epic showdown Ahiuzotl finally crosses the void only to find that in the comics Mane-iac has been reading the Derring Do books and fallen in love with his character and there's this dramatic and romantic meeting and they find out they were totally made for each other and....  Um... I think maybe I got a bit too carried away with this one. 

 

Ah well.  This ship makes me excited anyway.
