So I'm reading Lord of the Rings and I keep on imagining all the hobbits as ponies! And whenever I try to correct this, it reverts back to ponies about a page later! Isn't that weird?

Well what do you expect. When you get active in the brony fandom after watching MLP:FiM, you're bound to envision what other things would be like if they're ponified. It's how most of the brony culture works.

See, I want a ponified version of The Hobbit. How do they manage those crazy beards? Do they step on them and trip? What are the proportions of a dwarf pony?

 

But then again, LotR could be great as well. Is the Balrog a pony creature, or something else? Is Shelob just a giant eight-legged pony that eats other ponies? The image of that is actually more terrifying than regular Shelob.
