Grepper 3,193 April 23, 2015 Share April 23, 2015 No, I do hope that they will get their cutie marks. It would be a shame if they didn't, especially because they have been trying since season 1.

Ashen Pathfinder 16,164 April 23, 2015 Share April 23, 2015 I definitely want them to get their marks, and honestly I think it's very likely to happen this season. Season five is supposed to have a very defined theme focusing on the magic of cutie marks from what I've been able to gather, so them getting theirs would fit that theme, and I would be surprised if Bloom and Gloom wasn't specifically written to ease both the characters and the audience into the idea of the CMC becoming something different as they grow up, and if they're easing everyone into that now then it probably won't be long before they start getting their cutie marks. Pretty much my thoughts in a nut-shell. In any case the story of them and their cutie-marks can only go so far until we reach the end of that plot point. Personally, I think after they get their cutie marks they'll still have plenty of room for story-telling. 1 Pathfinder I Sojourner I Corsair | Zu'hra I Autumn | Scarlet Willow | Gypsy | Silverthorn | Crystal Whisper | Radiant Historia | And many other OCs~ Matching signatures with mah Bestie MOONLIGHT <

chirox the pony 1,336 April 23, 2015 Share April 23, 2015 I think they should get them at some point, however though I would like it to be a last season event or maybe movie event (at least when the last member gets their cutie mark). No matter how hard I try these ponies will simply never leave me.
[NULL] 907 April 23, 2015 Share April 23, 2015 (edited) You're right, the CMC will never get their cutie marks. And Aang never masters all four elements, nor will he defeat the Fire Lord. And Walter White will continue to make meth with Jesse forever. And Dipper and Mabel never find the author of the journals. Who needs all that pesky story progression anyway? We want more of the same. Edited April 23, 2015 by SpaceOnion
Dark Qiviut 22,585 April 23, 2015 Share April 23, 2015 (edited) Not one bit. I hope the Cutie Mark Crusaders do get their Cutie Marks, preferably this season, for a couple of reasons: To echo @@Eloquence, this is supposed to be a season reflecting Cutie Mark magic. Bloom and Gloom was important progression for not just Apple Bloom, but the other CMCs, too. Babs just got hers, and the justifiable fears from AB slowly ebbed way afterwards. This season heavily implies "coming of age." And part of coming-of-age themes comes from character development and maturity. Having them get their cutie marks at the right time will mark a huge evolution in their lives. But if they only get them during the series finale, you don't really get to see what they'll do with them now that their lifelong goals are realized. @@cmarston1, You're right, the CMC will never get their cutie marks.…Who needs all that pesky story progression anyway? We want more of the same. Two problems: Character progression/change is neutral. It's about the quality of the progression. If the execution of the progression is good, then no problems. But if it's poorly executed, you get the adverse reaction. I told you this in January, and I'll do the same here. By being sarcastic in your reply, you illegitimize your own opinion and only strengthen the OP's. Your response only enforces Asbel's reasons for the CMCs to not get their Marks. And how does giving deliberately obvious misinformation such as Aang never defeats the Fire Lord prove the OP's point? And, who's going to take "We want more of the same." seriously? Oh wait, this is the MLP fanbase we're talking about. Nevermind then, you're right. Edited April 23, 2015 by SpaceOnion
cmarston1 5,964 April 23, 2015 Share April 23, 2015 (edited) Personally I really do want to see the cmc finally get their cutie marks already. It's been five seasons already and we have known just exactly what each of their special talents are since the show stoppers back in season 1! Plus more importantly the best CMC episodes that we have gotten are not exactly one hundred percent or even 1 percent about them getting their cutie marks. Episodes like Sleepless in Ponyville, Sisterhooves Social (although that is half CMC half Rarity but still counts), and especially Flight to the Finish show that they are their best at characters and character development when they aren't always going on and about their cutie marks which if continued to happen through out how ever long this show will last would get boring and repetitive real fast. Plus said episodes show that there are more to Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo's characters besides their quest for their cutie marks. Things such as Scootaloo's inability to fly and Sweetie Belle's interactions with her sister and peers and more can be used to develop their characters just as if not better than the quest to get their cutie marks. INACTIVE USERNAME 383 April 23, 2015 Share April 23, 2015 Yes.. And no.. I loved the adventures, I also loved the message no matter what age or your size, you can do anything.. But on the other hand (Hoof) I can see them helping other fillies and colts find their special talent. So. Yes, I would be upset for a little while knowing that their part of that quest is over. But I'm happy they got their cutie marks and knowing they'll still have new adventures, and they'll always be the CMC on the inside, and the best of friends. CMC FOREVER! YAY!
ggg-2 3,555 April 24, 2015 Share April 24, 2015 I hope not. Everyone says that they'll have potential for new stories after they get their cutie marks. Babs ends up getting her cutie mark in Bloom and Gloom, and there was potential to do something with it, but the opportunity ended up being wasted. (and we never see Babs, even in a picture, just a picture of a pair of scissors and a letter SAYING she got it, giving me the headcanon that since we just HEARD that she got her mark, with no real evidence, Babs actually lied about getting her cutie mark to get attention from her favorite cousin and her friends, something kids in real life WILL actually do.) 1 Don't be a nerd. Argumedies 1,748 April 24, 2015 Share April 24, 2015 (edited) Here's what I see, that fans are not getting in the last episode, it is now well known that Applebloom and the the other CMC's feared of what would happen if and when the got their marks. But I speculate that it's DHX's way of showing that they might be a bit concerned on how the fandom will react (if and when) they pull this off. (cause they know how much we love changes) I fully believe that this will happen by series end I'm just waiting for the expected S-storm that will happen because of it Edited April 24, 2015 by Argumedies

smitty121325 64 April 25, 2015 Share April 25, 2015 I honestly hope they do get their cutie marks, as this subplot is getting extremely boring. "Bloom & Gloom" seemed to imply that both Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo know what their special talents are, so maybe they'll get their cutie marks this season. DragonFlyer 329 April 25, 2015 Share April 25, 2015 Personally I'd love to see them finally get their cutie marks because, as others have said, that story arc is starting to get old. Have them grow and evolve as characters, give us something new and fresh. Now that they've all had their "dream visit" with Luna and considering the cutie mark theme of this season I have a feeling they'll get them soon (at least I hope)! But before that happens I'd love to seen episode where Discord is an honorary member of the CMC, haha. I'm not holding my breath because I really don't expect to see anything from the comics merged with the show but it would be fun!

You see, just like I agreed with glitterbomb, the CMC will NEVER get their marks...That's what gives them story and plot in the show. I have to disagree, as it's been shown that each member of the CMC is able to carry an episode on her own. MAIKUN 262 April 25, 2015 Share April 25, 2015 (edited) Take my advice everypony, the CMC will NEVER get their marks...That's what gives them story and plot in the show. I hope they never do! I mean, It won't happen anytime soon, that's for sure. For example; Aang didn't mastered all four elements and nor will he defeat the Fire Lord, Walter White (in Breaking Bad) will continue to make meth with Jesse forever and of course the twins in Gravity Falls will never find the author of the journal. That's how the plot and the story is. Still, I really want them to get their marks at the very end of the 2017 movie, because that will be the last new FiM thing we ever see. Like I said before, I doubt the CMC will get their marks or NOT in "Appleoosa's Most Wanted" BUT I don't want them to get it though.
