Today I would like to take a dive into the ambiance of gaming, a step into themes which make us feel like we are there, or just plain chill us to the core. There are many series out there, horror and nor, that hold some disturbing or rather frighting themes. We all have been through a experience where a place or room holds a freaky nature, with themes that make your skin crawl.

 

Sometimes colorful games will throw in a few darker environments along with darker themes to throw you off from what you are use to. Or if it's a horror game, there could be themes and enemies that catch you off guard. Music plays many roles and can make or break an experience for a player. So, let me ask... what are some disturbing or just plain frighting themes that make your skin crawl?

 

Area themes? Yes

 

Room themes? Yes

 

Enemy themes? Yes

 

 

This is one area theme that has always brought a chill down my spine no matter how many times I play Metroid Prime 3 Corruption.

 

 

This theme has also brought chills to many newbies and experienced players alike. The well known SA-X Appears theme.
