Microghost 39 April 21, 2015 Share April 21, 2015 Hi, I'm new to My Little Pony. Like it's been like a month or something. I find the ponies from My Little Pony Friendship is magic to be cute and began casually watching a few episodes. It's like they slowly grow on you. I used to pretty much not care for the show, but heard about it a few times in the past. I used to think it was pretty girly, but it doesn't seem that way too much anymore. I also thought that the fandom was sort of going to be just a bunch of weirdos, but seeing a YouTube video about the truth of the fandom shows that most of the people in the fandom are pretty normal. I also enjoyed some of the episodes. I have always respected the fandom(like I would any other fandom, like star trek for example) I'm not sure if I would become a full fledged fan, or just the casual fan. One thing is for sure, I find the ponies from the show to be really cute. The show also seems well structure. Some episodes are more like a moral storyline, other episodes have more action. Also, I have high functioning autism. I have a few friends, but not too many. I like science, videogames, mathematics, other television shows(from Futurama to Seinfeld). I'm in my twenties, and seem smart and pretty normal(the oposite of how people typically imagine pony fans). Also, I am a transhumanist. That means I believe that in the future, I will be able to fuse with technology to become a nearly indestructable, even more caring and even smarter cyborg human that can live for thousands of years. Though I don't think that technology would be around anytime soon. I had a few girlfriends in the past, but I'm currently single. No one knows I began to enjoy my little pony. Also, I like robots. Robots are awesome too. I hope to connect more with such a vibrant and caring community and have fun. I also like FL tron, and the Matrix, and Limitless. I hope to stay here a long time, even as a casual fan who occasionally watches episodes and likes pony cuteness. If I find out where to watch all the episodes, who knows, I might end up binging on it in a few hours or some of my free time and I might become more of a fan or still casual. Person, "you're a fan? You mentioned that you thought the fandom might be a bunch of weirdos, and I used to think this way myself, but then I realized something. There isn't some weird cult of basement dwellers that watch and comment on ponies. There are some many normal, average closet bronies that, for all you know, one of us could be your next door neighbor. Just thought that was interesting when I thought about it.
