Which member of the mane 6 do you think would be the easiest to live with?

Applejack for me. I grew up country, so I know pretty much her core values and beliefs. I don't do a whole lotta cattle branding or butchering anymore, but I still know it enough that I could go back to it at any day in the future.

But in that huge castle, she could just give you a wing and you'd never see each other.  They should do a Batman joke with her castle.  You know, the dinner scene with Viki Vale?  The six could all be eating dinner in the castle one night:

 

Fluttershy:  "Um..Twilight?  Do you like eating in here?"

Twi:  *nods*  "Oh yeah..."  *looks around, furrows her brow*  "You know to tell you the truth I don't think I've ever been in this room before..."

Fluttershy, Twilight, and AJ would be the easiest roommates IMO.

I think with AJ though, you need to be on her good side otherwise you'll be hearing from her a lot. Twi would only get messy when she's hyperfocused on something. Fluttershy might just bring nature in but she does try to keep everything tidy.

I'm not sure how Rarity would be like. Feels like she would take up a lot of space for herself unintentionally until she's approached about it. And, she has a certain design philosophy going so...

Dashie would be the worst one, no offense to her. She just has other priorities, although in the show, her house seems tidy. And, with Pinkie Pie... well I hope you don't like sleeping I think you'd get a party every minute with her!

Fluttershy, she’s so pure and kind that you cannot think of anyone else better to live with, like, imagining her tucking you into bed every night then singing you a lullaby just for good quality sleep, I’d be mighty happy to live with her for some of those very reasons.

I think this really depends on the character of the person who would live with them.

In general Flutters is the kindest of them all and seems to be the one who speaks up the least when something disturbs her. However, this doesn't mean it would be the easiest to live with in general. If you take the wrong character there would tension even with Fluttershy. So ... I will answer this question in regards to my own character.

For me it would be indeed Fluttershy on spot #1, since we share a lot of common.

On second spot there could be Twilight and on the third spot Pinkie Pie.

RD an AJ are difficult to judge here. I feel more attached to RD and cannot stand the stubbornness of AJ. I think both would be very hard for me to live with. 

Rarity and me are very different characters. I think we would not go along at any sort.

Fluttershy, if you don't have any allergies, phobias, or other problems with animals.

Pinkie would be pretty aggreable and potentially fun, but maybe a bit too much for someone who's less social.

Applejack would probably have reasonable expectations for sharing chores and generally pretty easy to live with, as long as you aren't competitive with her, or allergic to apples or dogs.

Twilight would work well with a fellow neat freak.

Rainbow Dash would probably be generally okay but I can foresee butting heads about chores.

Rarity would also pair with a neat freak, who isn't allergic to cats.

So, I think it depends on the person.

I have phobias, fortunately it would not be with animals with the exception being, watching an animal get eaten, get injured or vomit. I turn away whenever I see predators eat other animals on wildlife documentaries.

 

I cannot say I would hate to be with either of them in their fictional world, however I would fear potential arguments with Rainbow Dash from time to time, then again I am not perfect either, if I received a scolding by her about anything, I'd probably deserve it anyhow, it is possible to do something foolish without necessarily meaning to hurt others, and I'm not as clever as I'd like to be, perhaps that's something I do have in common with her.

Applejack is honest, and sometimes that can lead to her having arguments with others as well, as she has done so with Fluttershy on occasion. She is okay to be a friend of however her no nonsense attitude will lead to disagreements and she makes no secret about it, if she thinks you're doing something wrong, she tells you how she feels. Whether that would lead to me having arguments with her if I was there in that fictional world with them, I don't know, but if she had an issue with what I said or did, she would probably have a good reason.

Twilight Sparkle is okay, however I don't read a lot of books, so that is not a typical situation I'd be involved in with her, she has other activities too though, sometimes visits to different parts of Ponyville or even beyond that region.

Fluttershy would be easy to get along with however spending too long around anypony would feel like violating their personal space, I have daydreamed about wearing flower crowns with her at a meadow as a symbol of friendship but I would not force that on her or anyone. I'm content with doing simple joys on my own if need be. Actually, I may even be too nervous to approach such a gentle and kind soul like that.

Pinkie Pie is social however there are times where I'd want to be on my own same as anyone else, if she got up in my face all the time, yeah that may bother me a little. At the same time though, I'd be patient with her because I know she means well.

Rarity is hilarious sometimes, I could definitely see fun adventures with her happening just as she did with Pinkie Pie. I'm not allergic to cats, so Rarity's cat would not bother me at all. Friendship with Rarity would mean a lot of helpful things, like learning how to speak more formal and polite because that is important both for starting friendships and respect for other cultures.

I daydream about being reincarnated in that fictional world as a Pegasi, like @Night Sky does on this forum, yeah we had a discussion about that, good talks. What an awesome experience it would be to make new friends in an extra-terrestrial environment filled with cute and intelligent talking Ponies and other sentient life forms there.

This is one of the few instances where I could see a friendship going well with a main character list if I were in that fictional world with them, even in some alternate timeline where their behaviour was very similar if not completely the same, as long as their core values of friendship are not compromised, it's okay.

I'd probably say Applejack. Out of all of them I think she would be the best about contributing to chores, utilities, etc. As long as you do your part as well, I think she'd be easy to get along with.

I think it would have to be Fluttershy. She’s generally pretty agreeable and definitely wouldn’t try to shirk chores or skip on rent. Won’t be as obsessive as someone like Twilight or as (seemingly) disorganized as Pinkie or RD. Long as the animals aren’t a problem I think she’d be the best roommate. AJ might also be an option but I feel like she’d probably be a messier person than Fluttershy is.

Id want to live with a friend who is accepting of me, who might be able to offset that part of myself rather than reinforce it uwu growth is good~

I agree, Unfortunately Discord can be childish at times, how he got easily manipulated by Tirek into thinking Mane Six took away his freedom I'll never know. Mane Six never did such thing, they told him there are rules in Equestria that need to be respected for the safety of citizens, a social contract if you will, every society needs this because it strikes a well reasoned balance between liberty and security. But unfortunately Discord did not see that as common sense, instead, he fell for Tirek's con in season 4 finale and took the L for it.

Discord was lucky that Princess Celestia did not have him turned to stone in season 5, though I still think Celestia should have taken away Discord's magic until he learned to be respectful. He received no punishment in season 5 which is my biggest problem with that season, so while I don't believe Princess Celestia to be a villain, she could have done Discord's rehabilitation more safely.
