Chip is correct. Right now the elements were unable to defeat the combined power of Tirek and Discord so harmony desided it was time to release from slumber the next stage of power. The stand-alones are the first released. The uncurruptables are the next release when the stand-alone elements can't win. A double contingency plan.

Ah ok. Well your correct about the not cannon part. The elements still have one level of power yet to be released and the tree of harmony currently protects this power. The rainbow of light or rainbow power is this next stage. But will the group be able to harness this power or will the originals be the ones to do so.

The magic of friendship can't be consumed by Tirek so the elements live on and are probably looking for new masters.

 

Chrysteel is also more of a support for the group. Her aura magic, once awakened, is her main power to support the group. While A mother's love aura keeps the group from falling before their time, a Valor's Light keeps up the group's morale and allows for them to face odds that normally they wouldn't be able to face.

 

The element of Love embodies the Love of friendship and desires its growth and survival. Thus it acts in such a manner that would protect the elements and empower them to do what normally couldn't be done.

Since it's not cannon, we may take it and edit it a bit.

The stand-alones and uncurruptables are still a major work in progress. Any ideas and help in completing them would be much accepted.

Alright, so I just came back and I'll state it up front: Red didn't inform me of the plan for the stand-alone elements.   :okiedokielokie:  And, I don't like the idea.

 

First of all, stand-alone elements of harmony just don't make canonical sense. In the show, Harmony stands for Friendship--while it has evolved over time in this RP, a stand-alone element would just completely work against that, since, y'know, it can stand alone. You notice none of the elements in the show have worked without one another--that's because they can't, as far as we know. They need harmony, or friendship, between the bearers to cause giant rainbow beams. Having a stand-alone element, again, would work against this idea so completely and would also be ridiculously OP.

 

Also, love won't work either. 'Love' and 'Friendship' are different things in the show, as we can see from their being two different princesses dedicated to it, and as we can pretty much establish that, in the sense of the show, Friendship is Harmony, and the Elements of Harmony need Friendship, then having a stand-alone element of harmony dedicated to love just doesn't make sense. Also, having an element of harmony—Twilight’s thing—based off of love would squash Cadence’s importance in the overall picture of things.

 

I apologize for the confusion and all this, Aurora. I have discussed this with Red, and she does agree with me. I think Red and I have pretty much decided to stick with the original six elements of harmony now. Please, feel free to express your opinions on the matter and stuff, as I’m sure you have a fairly rational loophole—but I don’t think you’ll find my opinion easy to sway. For now, that’s our final stand on the matter—no stand-alone elements, no element of love.

 

On the matter of the three people who will inevitably be left out of the elements: Strider, for one, will be included in that number. Red and I had actually been planning upon the overthrowing of Pupa for Amore to take over as Queen of the Changelings. I’m not sure how much sense that would make for your character, but it would create a good wrapping-up of the Changelings. Amore could give them basic independence and such like, organize the hive, and then continue travelling with the merry fellowship of the ponies. Added on to that an element—especially one that can work by itself—is just too OP.

 

Red and I want everyone’s power to be just about equal, or to be consciously making a decision about being weaker than their comrades. For example, Red is having her OC be weaker as a part of her character development. But we can’t have one character spiraling out of control power-wise. Amore, whether or not she becomes Queen of the Changelings, will evolve to be a Flutterling and thus with extreme magical prowess. We've decided that Amore with three evolutions, and with her third evolution being very powerful, and also probably going to become Queen of the Changelings, that her also being an element (albeit, not one of the main six) would be too overpowered and make Amore into a mary-sue like character no matter how well she is played, simply by the amount of power she has. Not to mention with a character as powerful as that, it could squash fun for some of the other roleplayers.

 

…So, yeah. I’m done with my little speech. Now, back to catching up on what I missed!

Oh well, also I did state that love in and of itself falls into three separate categories. first is Love of Family. Second is Love of Friendship, which powers the element of love. Third is True Love, which powers final evolution and breaking of the love hunger curse.

 

I also stated thst the stand-alones require one to possess all six traits for the original six. However, It doesn't have the one shot effect of the six. The stand-alones are also guardians and are at full when working with the six.

 

Even though they are called stand-alone elements, they still require the friendships that the elements do to work. It is never posible to truely stand alone.

 

Another thing, the element of love is purposed with the protection of love. Cadence creates and spreads love. Her place as Princess of love is safe.

 

Others have argued this point before and I have already solved it.
