Memed because they were old potatoes and it was my father's fault. My mother didn't throw away the potatoes so he put them in the sink drain because he's an idiot.

Old potatoes aren't much use, particularly once they start sprouting - usually not even good enough to boil for mashed potato.

I have some nice, fresh whiteskinned potatoes here though, and once it cools off enough, I am going to cut them into wedges, sprinkle them with a little dried tomato and garlic, drizzle them with olive oil, then oven bake them

Memed because by old I mean they'd already been cut and cooked. They were left out in a bowl so they should've been thrown away. But my mother forgot to, which is understandable. But then my father puts it in the drain like an idiot and blames her for it.

Ah, then you could possibly have recooked them. flash frying cold, precooked and sliced potatoes can give you sauté potatoes, which are quite nice (ruin the oil though, seriously)
