Really? I was of the understanding they refer to themselves as 'Nippon' instead of their language's normal system 'Nihon-jin'

OK, then. I will prove myself. The following is a plot summary of any anime ever made.

 

Problem involving magic, advanced technology, or alien species. Can only be solved by hero, who knows almost nothing about it. Requires help of friends, and at least one person who knows what there doing. At least one catgirl, who is most likely the cutest character in the show. Many failures and "successes" that turn out to be only part of the problem being solved. A couple of epic fights. Good guys win.
