Finally started Deep Space 9

I am so looking forward to all the drama, the religious stuff, and the wars, and Rom and Garak!

 

This is my second time, so there is a lot of stuff I will see and recognize much earlier.

I just gotta mention how much I enjoyed The Best of Both Worlds. That cliffhanger at the end of the first part was executed so well, even though I obviously knew that Picard was going to survive the ordeal.  And it would have hit even harder back in the day because folks would've had to wait for months until the second part aired.

Wow, Season 3 was so good.

Not only did the writing get better in general, but I think the attempts at humor were done better as well.

Like this classic Q scene. Data recommends chocolate ice cream for people who are feeling upset, so Q orders ten sundaes.  And by the time they arrive he has already lost his appetite, so that's ten free sundaes for whoever wants them

A continuation of the franchise after Voyager. Picard doesn’t count because it wasn’t good.

Any specific ideas? I only bothered with the first episode of Picard. But I definitely want it in the old universe, not the "Kelvin" universe.
