Well, I guess you can just make an introductory paragraph giving some background about your character.  Describe how he thinks and what he thinks about.  What is your OC's opinion of the island?  How did he get here?  Just get out there and really give your character a place in the storyline

Peregrine is likely going to want to work on starting up a hoof and mane care business, but is aware she very much is not the sort of pony to deal with running a business. She's likely going to ask either Blitz or Aspen for help with that. Perhaps it could come up during one of the mini-exploration treks?

Blitz probably wouldn't. She'd rather be going around and helping ponies and making an impression than settling down to make a business. That's just her character.

Perhaps we should briefly plan in the OOC what every pony is doing. Peregrine is getting ready to start a business... Red Fang wants to start a police force... Aspen gets back from his exploring trip...

@@ForthEorl, go for it (though I haven't checked the RP in a while, so you might already have).  I guess at this point the first town is being built, with wooden structures being erected quickly.  Roads are becoming more defined, and some more adventurous ponies might already be claiming land (hint hint if you want to build your own home).  Civilization is spreading slowly, but spreading nonetheless.

Question time: I haven't written Aspen's entrance yet, but I was thinking of having the exploration group make a map for the part of the island that they are on (and one that we can use to give plots and such, and maybe even get settings more organized).  Good or bad idea?  I have one made in MS paint (and we can make a better one later if necessary).  It just shows some biomes, and the start of the deer territory (if we still want to do that, I don't know if our little deerling friend is still with us).  Anyway, just an idea.  Thoughts?

I drew a basic map for another RP i'm in, I could do it. I just need to know what to draw. (Not a great artist) It'll be simplistic but accurate.

Like I said, it's basic but I also did a little undrawn world building as far as geographics and placement in Equestria on a bigger scale but i don't have it. But I do have a picture of Equestria with it marked for world building purposes. 

 

 

It's just a sketch of the town. (not to scale) But I can always go into more depth, like the Arena, as you can see what that is. I am currently working on blowing up the image and drawing that image to big scale in more detail.

 

I could also draw other areas, like say this is a rather big area and there is town as well as a forest, and a lake. Well i can always draw smaller version of an overall layout or blow up the area and provide more detail... if that makes sense.

 

It isn't very good artwork but I can do it accurately and I enjoy world building. So, i'd do it.

 

(Feel free to tell me it sucks, i know)

I guess some ambassador could visit us or something, and of course you could RP them!

And @@That pony, I had to write myself out of the story for a while, and so I took an exploration team out.  Since they couldn't really come back empty-hooved, I thought I could take the opportunity to make a map of a small part of the island.  But since you're a mapper, I kinda feel bad about stealing your thunder.  Any ideas?
