Borrimere took out a large double barreled shotgun, both barrels were loaded with 10 gauge bird shot, he fired both barreled and the many tiny pellets pelleted Blitz. no matter what he did he would get hit, he was hoping to poke tons of holes in his wings to ground and stun him, he then rolled behind a tree to reload.

The dragon felt pain in his wings, but he managed to ignore it. Of course, he had noticed the hunter duck behind the tree and decided to find cover of his own. Blitz then flew into the gathering storm clouds, and out of the effective range of the shotgun. Of course, he couldn't go for melee combat, but plans were already forming in his head.

He couldn't feel the poison from the attacks, but it may not take long. The dragon then decided not to return home, but rather fly through the city, hoping to lose the hunter should he follow him.

Green woke to the beep of his alarm, which was broken and went off every few hours on it's own, and the pain of falling off the couch onto his face. "God dammit. Why don't I just throw that piece of crap out?" He saw his phone and wallet on his counter and grabbed them immediately. "Did...did I forget these here?" He said turning off his alarm. In the rural areas back home, it would sometimes be near 22:00 before the sun went down, but here in the city, Eunae was shivering by 19:00. It was probably the tall skeletal buildings around her, but there was something else too. A lurking menace, not helped by these recent murders, seemed to cling to every available surface - dirty bus stops, grimy windows, even the lamp posts that lined the streets. Even the light here had a sickly glow.

All the same, Eunae didn't really see herself in a fit place to complain. Okay, so she didn't have a house, and she had to pretty much pick food out of the garbage - but she was still better off than half the other homeless residents of Tollopolis, because she could just conjure up some super-hot balls of light to keep her warm instead of ratty blankets. Every time she saw them, she felt her heart bleed, and she wanted to share her light - but she couldn't, not without revealing herself. She had promised the priests back home, Father Kang especially, and even hundreds of miles away a promise was a promise - especially a promise between her and God. After all, she owed Him her powers, and so she also owed their responsible use. She would help people, but from afar; if she found those same ratty blankets, she would dump them where she knew they would be found, and she left food scattered too. She would find a way to survive.

Though it was night, and not that late, the city was still wide awake, with people hustling about. Eunae, for her part, was too tired for that, and so she found the refrigerator box she called home in the alleyway facing a still-abandoned shop and curled up inside it. The street lights were too far away for her to see much, but it was barely enough, though she still felt the familiar panic of the dark. Checking no one was around - not that she would be able to see - she almost guilty glanced down at herself. Yup. Glowing as usual.

Brightening her own illumination, she seemed to pull a piece of light away from her body, as one might pull a thread from a sweater. It hovered on her hand and she rolled it in her palm until it formed a small ball, which began to glow as it got hotter and hotter. Still shivering, she waited until it was white-hot, the air around it shimmering with the heat. A small sigh of relief escaped her lips as she let it go, hovering a few inches away from her. Almost as an afterthought, she spread her fingers apart, and the light began to shift from an orb until there, fluttering delicate white wings, was a butterfly, small sparks and flecks of light flying off it like dust.

Pleased with her ingenuity, Eunae let the butterfly make lazy circles around her head, and she shut her eyes. Behind her lids she could still see the light; this was thankful for her, since she would never be able to sleep int full darkness. The heat was good, too; for some, it would be absolutely unbearable, given that it was like a small sun, but to Eunae, it was barely enough. She wouldn't dare make it any hotter, though; it could light the box on fire just by proximity.

Her eyes were just starting to droop themselves into full sleep when she - felt something.

@

The presence didn't seem entirely malevolent, but it wasn't benign, either. It was a confusing concoction of both, and that was what scared Eunae. She could understand pure light or pure darkness, but she had difficulty when they blended into shadow.

Now wide awake and fearful, Eunae's dark eyes widened as she peered out of the box towards the sidewalk. A woman went past, and instantly she drew her head back, only to put a single side out again curiously, like a particularly brave turtle. She had a horrible feeling that if she could sense this girl, then she could probably sense her too - because obviously this was someone like Eunae, except that her power felt more like the sun to a star than anything else. Eunae was dwarfed by it.

She leaned back against the back of the box and cupped her hands around her butterfly, trying to slow her breathing and dim her natural glow till it was nearly gone, though this only served to make her panic more once it was too dark. Hopefully the woman would continue on and leave Eunae alone, because she sure as...she wasn't going out there, in short.

*Schwartz noticed something. She turned to see a light presence hiding in a box, but it was slightly dimmed. Like it was trying to hide. She walked over to the box and crouched down, looking inside.*

"You are going to get yourself killed if you keep repressing your light. You obviously can't handle the suppression."

*Schwartz growled at her.*

"You are lucky that my shadow isn't fully radiant yet. If it was I would likely be beating you right now. You are obviously a being of light. Let it radiate, no matter what. If you suppress it you will never be able to control it properly. Here...."

*She took a thing out of her pocket and handed it to Eunae. It was a scrap of paper with her address on it.*

"Go here. You'll find people you can trust. For your own sake, next time you see me I won't be in the same state I am now."

*Schwartz stood up and began to walk off without waiting for a response.*

The fear at having been found was less than the confusion at the woman's response. Eunae had been waiting for some devastating attack, even going as far as to flinch back in preparation, but the worst that happened was that a piece of paper was shoved into her hand. She hardly looked at it, her vision almost numb, but the numbers and letters gave her the idea that it was some sort of address. So now she had a choice.

Every part of her fiber was screaming for her to stay where she was, where she knew who she was and whom she could trust. But, being the woeful optimist she was, Eunae felt like she could trust this advice in a small, private part of herself she kept locked away. If the woman had wanted to kill her, after all, Eunae would easily have been extinguished by her; she didn't need to send her along to other cronies to do that. Then again - someone who walked a dual path? Eunae firmly kept her feet where the light shone. That was the right way to do things - you were one thing or the other, right? In her world, there was no middle ground.

She stared at the piece of paper a little longer, and another sigh came out, only this time melancholy. The choice had been made for her long ago. This was the way that God willed it, and she knew that whatever he had destined for her rode upon this decision. Perhaps right now she didn't like it, but she at least had to comfort of knowing she was doing something greater even in this action.

The woman had left, and Eunae had hardly noticed even with the disappearance of the oppressive presence. All the same, the address was - as far as she knew - not too far away. Slipping out of the alleyway and into the crowds, her glow lost in the lights, she took a deep breath and started walking, whispering "thank you" to no one in particular.

@@Kreinbahthur @@Midnight_Aurora

She had been wrong. This was a trap, all along.

At first the walk had been fine, but slowly Eunae felt a pressure building in her lungs, making it hard to breathe. Even with the street lights, she felt like she was going to choke to death, and her light kept flickering. Holding onto a wall for a few moments to upright herself, she knew why exactly.

Something dark was where she was heading, and if she thought the other girl was somewhat, this made her look like a puppy. At least there had been some light there; here, Eunae could detect absolutely none in this one. She was probably only still okay because there was still light enough, but all the same, she forced her glow stronger and shook her head, still moving forwards at a crawl. No. She had to do this, and get this (whatever it was) done.

She coughed again, and this time she could have sworn there was a little blood. The fear coiled inside her stomach now, and she staggered again, but this time grabbed the wall of the building she was supposed to find. No wonder it was so thick; it was like breathing in an acid cloud.

She wasn't going to be able to make it up the stairs on her own, especially if the stairwell was dark, but again, she couldn't allow herself to fall here. She looked dizzily at the buzzers along the wall, finding the correct apartment, and slammed the button again and again, hoping that someone was up there right now and would be summoned by the shrill noise. She sat heavily in front of the door, leaning on it, and her hands reached out to the streetlights, pulling more of their glow into her own. Now feeling slightly better, though the cough still tickled her throat, she kept panting.

Into the belly of the beast, she thought without any sarcasm or fear, because as far as she knew, that's exactly where Eunae was headed...and that was okay.

After Casimir, King, and Aurora had finished discussing what was happening to Sasha and what was to be done with her, Casimir had decided to take a nap while they waited things out. This might have seemed like a bad idea considering he would have made an easy target for Schwartz had she decided to take her rage out on them, but there was really nothing to worry about on his end. Drevenon was capable of watching over and protecting him as he was always fully aware of anything that was going on around them.

Casimir woke up when King burst into the living room, concern and some panic manifesting in his tone and face.

"What?!"

He was feigning surprise. Truth was, Drevenon had already alerted him to Schwartz's emergence and her departure. However, the two agreed to not do anything about it, believing that Sasha needed to release her dark side and explore everything that it brought. In their opinions at least, it was the only way for both her personalities to truly balance themselves out, and the only way to dissolve the constant threat of a chaotic and rage filled Schwartz emerging. Of course, this particular Schwartz would cause and be trouble, but they planned on that, and they would be there to restrain her from going too far.

Obviously though, King would have been infuriated if Casimir had revealed all of this, but what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him. Maybe the man already had suspicions about Casimir's allowance of this even though, but that much didn't matter.

@@Capricorn

Just a short amount of time after the "surprise", Casimir felt a presence of light draw near to the apartment.

"Ohoooo boy, what or who is it this time?" Casimir thought with an eye roll. In the past, there were sometimes light "assassins" that had been sent to neutralize him, having been tasked by either themselves or their groups to do so. It didn't sit well with such people (or creatures) that a human had acquired demonic powers, less that he communed with and hosted a powerful demon, and even less that they were known to rule over a nightmarish realm. Oh, and there was also the thing about slaughtering countless criminals and villains, sometimes publicly.

Anyway, him getting targeted was a thing, and he wouldn't have been surprised if there was some pesky light wielder closing in on him. He had just entered into this realm, no doubt many magically attuned metas had noticed.

The doorbell rang. Wow, this person wasn't much for sneakiness apparently... Oh well, he'd humor them.

"I'll get this," he told the others, then briskly walked over to answer the door.

"Let's make this qui-" Casimir began to say, actually ready to send out an attack of shadowy tendrils from beneath before he took the time to notice who was standing before him. A young Asian girl, and one that seemed to be in a pitiable condition as well. She seemed to be struggling to breathe.

"Oh... sorry.... is everything alright?" He asked. He motioned over for King and Aurora to come over. Both of them being attuned to light would make it easier to help her.

Her prayers had been answered when the door opened, though only in that regard - because staring down at her and blocking the light to then entryway was the same entity that was making her violently ill.

Well, maybe not the same, because the feelings of revulsion were not quite as strong - but that could, potentially, be chalked up to the light that she could see peering around him. The sight of that made Eunae slightly bolder, but she then realised a few moments later that her mouth was probably hanging open. After a few moments, though, she shut it and glared him down with a steely resolve, getting on her tiptoes.

The light in the room danced across, filing around him to supplement Eunae's glow as she crossed herself and, as she was accustomed to, repeated a prayer in her native tongue (that, of course, being Korean) that Father Kang had told her would ward off evil. She had never used it before, and could only hope that he had been right.

...except that nothing seemed to happen. Desperate now, Eunae repeated it faster, and again it failed; there was no explosion of demon flesh or foul screams as it dissipated into nothingness. In fact, all that happened was that she stood in the hallway like a night light and stared at him.

A few moments later, she just fell on her knees, smiled vaguely, and said "please don't hurt me."

Way to go, Eunae. Real strong demon destruction you got going there.

All the same, there were other presences in the room, and the fact that he had motioned them forth only served to confirm this. From her lovely vantage on the floor, though she couldn't get much shorter, Eunae felt her head spinning again. The other presence was getting stronger again, and mixing with this one - she coughed again, and more blood, but she did it in the most polite way possible - that being into her hand. Disgusting, but she wasn't going to get it on a strangers floor.

"Are you aware you have a DEMON inside your apartment?" Her words slurred and she stared at them from heavy, glassy eyes, her head dooping as the light went back to its original place. "Don't worry, I know just...the...trick...take that!" Her open palm connected with Casimir's kneecap and she fell flat on her face with the motion, barely having "hit" him at all.

For a few moments, she thought she was going to fall asleep there on the floor, but then the nausea hit again and she rolled onto her side in the fetal position with a groan. She hadn't felt this delirious in a long time, but as was common of that affliction, she didn't even know she was. She just knew that she was breathing rather unpleasantly loudly through her mouth and had one eye shut for some reason.

"Mr. Demon, do you have any water?"

What was even happening?

Eunae didn't know either.

Though visibly delirious and fatigued, the girl absorbed light into her body before rambling off some phrase in a different language. She repeated it a couple of times afterwards, but faster and with a growing tone of desperation before dropping down to her knees in defeat. The girl still struggled to do something of significance to him, and weakly nudged his knee to "buy the others some time". Whatever the reason, he didn't want to hurt her, and so moved away and concealed his presence from her.
