"Its obviously not my real one, but since I started doing this gig I've called myself Weiss. I play hero, and my powers involve light and dark, so the German word for white seemed to fit."

*She played with a mass of shadows in her hand.*

"Though seeing as how more of my moves involve shadows, maybe a more proper name would have been Schwartz."

*She chuckled a bit.*

"Not sure I would be able to handle the spaceballs jokes though, so I'm sticking with Weiss."

"I just call myself the Star Spangled Man. I know it's not really that good or catchy, but I was inspired by my favorite comic book character, so it's at least fitting. Of course, I create constructs like a certain other comic book hero. I suppose you could say I "play hero" too, but that's not what it's about. Not many people recognize me as a "hero" and that's probably for the best."

"Its about the intentions. Oft times heroes can be labeled as menaces to society. Those of us who are born with powers are oft feared."

"I myself have been called a monster, beast, plague on humanity, even an abomination. But hey, they are just words, and I don't let them affect me. I know what I do is right and that's all that really matters to me."

*She pointed at Pat.*

"I see lots of light in you as well. Something I don't talk about much is a thing I call tendency. I can see how light or dark a person is. And you are nearly as radiant as the sun."

"I...uh...gah... well, uh, I guess now it's no secret that I fall short of my hero when it comes to speaking... but uh, for what it's worth, thank you. I'm glad I could meet someone who seems to share my views."

 

At the moment, he was very glad he had a mask on.

 

"But um, I've got to get going now, my si-Uh my associate is waiting. Maybe we will meet again. Uh, bye..."

 

As he walked away he facepalmed himself.

*Weiss smirked beneath her mask.*

"Alright. Keep up the good fight, I have no doubt that the events of today are but a harbinger for things yet to come."

*Weiss turned to walk of in a separate direction and as she walked, her shadow formed a cloud around her feet and lifted her into the air. Once she was a sufficient height and distance she dispelled her mask and lit up another cigarette. She decided to sit there for a while and look over the city.*

Silverlight nods and takes the case, as well as the container, "I'm in." she looks over at Shade, "What about you? Ready to break into a lab and steal a thing? I've never been into Mercury before, but I doubt it's any harder than E-Corp's security was. Doesn't mean that it'll be easy, but at least it'll be simple." she smiles, "I'd love to work with you though, breaking in is always more fun when you get to go out guns blazing once you have what you want."

Neri felt the disturbance in his sonar and quickly traveled there within some seconds since he traveled with his own sound just like if he was surfing... But on sound waves. He arrived to see nothing and wondered what could have possibly interrupted his sonar, that was the moment he was surprised.

 

Sheroe noticed the same disturbance as Neri and traveled abit later than Neri did because he wanted to have a sneaky surprise. Although he failed as they nearly arrived at the same time because of the longer route Neri had. He calmly looked at him before Neri who was visibly vibrating and causing the top of the roof where they stood to shiver slightly.

 

Neri was getting more and more impatient by the minute while seeing this person, he didnt know why but he knew that this person must have something to do with his past. Due to the sudden anger he felt he jumped towards him with a fist aimed straight for his stomach loading it up with a very loud bang that would probably destroy a human being by itself.

 

Sheroe saw Neri coming from miles away and quickly countered by doing an uppercut into his stomach himself. Ofcourse Neri made a shot for a kick which Sheroe dodged by splitting his head into two and then merging them back.

 

Neri looked surprised at his opponent's abilities and became even more unstable from every last bit of the fight nearing his critical point as his whole body swelled up around the arms and legs then cooled down as if he was about to burst but contained it. Noticing this Neri said to his opponent ''I'll... Kill you... I'll make you vanish... I'll make you pay for whatever you have done!'' he said as his physical human form bursted into a large golem looking green wave paterned thing. When he got into this form he looked around as if he had no recollection as to what is happening. Suddenly he snapped his watch to Sheroe who he jumped away from floating in the air by moving really fast... Although a normal human wouldnt be able to see when he moved.

 

Sheroe tensed up as he saw Neri transform into the monstrous golem like creature. He himself was about to jump the rope as he remembered how much horror he experienced when they were transformed into this berserk form when they were one. So he did what he thought was most logical and shattered his own bond to the mortal body he had leaving an empty husk on the roof top ''This will be a pain'' he said just remembering what he used to say in the form.

 

Neri who was enraged beyond recognizing even human beings who were his friends made a shriek so horrible that it sounded like a human who had been minced up but could still talk like a distorted gurgling noise. He then moved his hand and it disapeared from his body landing far below on the street before exploding in several thousand waves that broke car windows, normal windows and even the metal frame of the cars were snapped in several places. Well he did now miss an arm though.

 

(To explain how big he is... About three times as big as tempest's dragon form... Ofcourse he doesnt have wings.... Dont be ridiculous. Oh and the golem is made out of sounds waves but can take physical damage as it is translated into damage from sound for him in this form)

Lilith upon stepping into the crime scene could feel huge amounts of negative energy , the bodies had been moved and replaced by chalk outlines, however the blood was still there and the area was still sectioned off. Jane stepped out of the car "be careful, psychics and mediums have very bad reactions when being in one of these crime scenes"

"I say we do the raid tonight, unless you want to do some scouting first. I have to head to my place to pick up some gear, then I'm ready to get started," Shade said to his new partner. "That tech expertise of yours will come quite in handy, partner." Shade gives a light slap to Silver's back.

Draco was now out and about again. He went to another bank silently broke in quiet as a mouse. The cameras on a loop. Guard's knocked out. And he was breaking into the vault...Except it broke his encryption codes along with his lock picks. He activated his x ray vision which was installed into his mask. "5 tumbler lock," Draco whispered as he finished his work. He began totake the gold from the vault out to his van. Which had reinforced shocks to handle it. And afew minutes of him going back and forth being busy he didn't know the guards tripped the alarm. after putting the last of the gold into his truck he drove off thinking he had gotten away with the crime.

She chuckles, realizing the sheer absurdity of the phrase, "I'm ready whenever you are, these plans will have to suffice for recon, and I'll do my best to get real time information once we're on site. Shall we go pick up your gear?" She asks, turning away from the woman to walk out with a remark of, "If your boss winds up needing to tell me anything, you have my number." She says casually, ready to leave.

Draco asked sweetly.

*She wasn't lying, even the appearance of her suit had changed significantly. Instead of the sleeveless coat and face mask she had before, it now appeared as a thick leather suit that covered her entire body as well as a high cut hooded jacket. It still was rather fashionable though.*

"Maybe we should pop a U-turn and head back. Maybe return all these stolen goods? If you behave I'll give you a head start afterwards before I pursue for a vigilante warranted arrest."

*She took a pack of cigarettes out from a pocket in the armor's coat and offered one to Draco.*

The cigarette held its place Weiss had created a space, just small enough for the cigarette to get through. She put the box away and lit it up with a lighter she had also taken from her jacket. She sat there for a minute before replying, and she started with a slight laugh.*

"To be honest, you are exactly right. I live in a small apartment bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen/living room. I make a living doing odd jobs and get paid only what my clients think my performance was worth. Here's the thing, Im not going to give you the 'seeing people safe is its own reward' bullshit because if I believed in that I would be healthily rallying for cops to be an unpaid job. I don't do this for any kind of 'its the right thing to do' heck, before I really found my place in this world I was a lot like you. I stole shit and used my abilities to weasel my way out of sticky situations. But one day I realized, it was all hollow. Was I really happy with what I was doing? Not really, not at all in fact. I had things, and stuff, but it felt fake and unearned. I was nineteen, just a kid, didn't have a place yet. One day, not long after I had this realization I got caught. Not by a cop, but by a hero, instead of turning me in though, he took me in and mentored me. Taught me how the world worked, showed me a way I could feel fulfilled."

*She sat in silence for a moment as she looked out the windshield.*

"Im rambling, I must be getting old. I won't lecture you any longer, but I will have to insist that we take this loot back. I know this is how you get your kicks or some shit, but think about what you do with yourself. A truck full of cash that you just took while nobody was looking, is that really earned? Is it truly fulfilling? Maybe for you it is, everyone works differently and what The Rocketeer instilled into my manner of thinking wont necessarily work on you."

"Tell me miss have you really looked at this world and thought hmm a good world," Draco said as he looked at her. The lenses of his masked pulled away revealing only his eyes. "Do I look like I have a problem with stealing?" Draco asked simply. "I was homeless when I was young. Orphaned actually," Draco stated as he chuckled. "No one to care but I stole alot," Draco said. "Oh I was rubbish at it first," Draco said as he waved the bar infront of her teasingly. Preying on the greed of all humans. He reached with his other hand and carressed her face. "Do I need a mentor no I don't," Draco stated simply with a chuckle as his silver eyes met hers. "I know right from wrong. I do this because I love the thrill of it," Draco stated simply. "But what you need I think is a partner in crime," Draco stated as he looked at her charmingly. "After all you were alone and not enjoying the spoils of your victories," Draco said. "And you probably killed them correct?"

"You seem to have a desire to test my resolve. Fine. I'll show you my resolve."
*She then proceeded to deck Draco full on in the face, and after using and after using a shadow tendril to open his door latch, shifted her position and kicked him out of the car. She got out and stood over him and held her arm up and light began to emit from it and a solid dome of light formed around them.*
"Did you not get the point of what I had said? I was a criminal, I discovered I hated it. Doing the right thing felt good. So that's why I fight scum like you. Because yes, I am greedy. But money isn't what satisfies my greed, I fight for whats right because that's what feels right. When I was a crook I only has control over the shadows. When i started doing good I gained control over the light. That's sign enough for me that this is what I'm meant to do."
*She dropped her hand that formed the barrier and slammed her fists together. Light formed around them.*
"This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! Its burning grip tells me to defeat you. My love, my anger, and all of my sorrow."
*The light around her fists began to solidify into gauntlets.*
"That's a G Gundam reference. And these are my brawlers."
*She took a step back giving Draco plenty of room to get up within the dome, then took a fighting pose.*
"Come on, you beat me, and I let you go with your gold. If I win, the gold gets returned. Now stand up. Lets see if you are a real man. Or are you scared you'll be beaten by a girl?"

Aurora had been watching from a near by roof. She had followed from above when they started. She kept her hearing well within range but now the dome was up. She could use the moonshadow to cut an opening for her but then he could escape. She decided not to. She was already laughing at him being kicked out of his car. Draco rubbed his jaw slightly as he actually felt that. His blood pumping through his very body. "hMmm been awhile since I fought," Draco said witha grin on his face. He took a Muay Thai stance. "I am abit rusty," Draco said as he sent a vicious elbow into the mask of the heroine using the point of his elbow bone to do it. He grinned slightly as he activated his tasers in his gauntlet. He backed away quickly to study her moves.

Lilith could still smell the blood on the crime scene. The chalk outline was slightly distorted as if the victim had been in agony. She wanted to get closer to the spot but a part of her also didn't want to. She was terrified of what she would see if she went in too close. She kneeled down for a closer look.

*Weiss took the hit. She cracked her neck after Draco had backed off and then took off the jacket over her armor. She also reverted the mask back to its normal state, so her short swept back black hair with a curious white patch by her right temple was showing.*

"Not bad. I figured I should at least let you get a hit in, since I won't be letting you get anymore."

*After saying this the white patch of hair began to seemingly glow, and an aura of light was radiating off of her body.*

"I call this sunburst. By filling my body with light energy to the point where its leaking out of my pores, I gain an exponential boost in both my speed and power."

*She took a stance that readied her to run towards Draco, and then did so. And she wasn't joking when she said she gained an exponential boost. Before Draco would be able to process the movement Weiss's right fist was in his stomach, followed by a powerful left uppercut into his chin, and a follow up overhead downward right hook to knock him to the ground.*

"Heh, maybe I didn't even need to use Sunburst."

*She said as she stepped back waiting to see if Draco would get back up.*

During this time, Pat had unsuited and was driving around the city with River.

 

"I wish I could have thought of something. I don't know if I was too stupid or too scared. And now I've let that snake loose to go commit some other crime."

 

"You are not stupid Pat, you just didn't have any evidence. Besides, you had your hands full with that Terrorsaur. He was the main reason you were there. That guy just happened to show up. Next time, you'll get him."

 

"It's too bad there has to be a next time."

 

"Please, I know this sounds cliche, but stop being so hard on yourself. I'd hate to see what you'd be like without me and Galatea... I'm sorry."

 

"No, you're right, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Did you find any thing more about the "FEAR" thing?"

 

"Um, not really, just that the police had been hiring psychics to help with it, and there's some trio called "Wave Force".

 

"Hiring psychics? They must be getting desperate. I've got to find some way to observe more. Perhaps some job where I can hear alot of what goes on."

 

"What about the news?"

 

"News? I could be like Peter Parker! I'll have to think about that."

"We'll be in contact." She says simply before leaving the premises. Once a safe distance away, she takes out a phone and dials a number."It's done." She says. "And they aren't aware of our secondary motive?" came the voice from the phone. "No sir Mr. Manhattan. They are only aware of what they are stealing and even then, they don't know exactly what it is." She replied. "Good. Notify me of any changes." With that the phone went dead and she hung up.

*Weiss took the hit. She cracked her neck after Draco had backed off and then took off the jacket over her armor. She also reverted the mask back to its normal state, so her short swept back black hair with a curious white patch by her right temple was showing.*

"Not bad. I figured I should at least let you get a hit in, since I won't be letting you get anymore."

*After saying this the white patch of hair began to seemingly glow, and an aura of light was radiating off of her body.*

"I call this sunburst. By filling my body with light energy to the point where its leaking out of my pores, I gain an exponential boost in both my speed and power."

*She took a stance that readied her to run towards Draco, and then did so. And she wasn't joking when she said she gained an exponential boost. Before Draco would be able to process the movement Weiss's right fist was in his stomach, followed by a powerful left uppercut into his chin, and a follow up overhead downward right hook to knock him to the ground.*

"Heh, maybe I didn't even need to use Sunburst."

*She said as she stepped back waiting to see if Draco would get back up.*

Draco began to stand up lifting his mask abit and spat out blood. Draco ran for work as he sent a Haymaker into the mask. Then came the shockers in his gloves sending a bolt of electricity. "You know we can make this a fair fight," Draco said simply. "No powers just bare knuckles," Draco grinned slightly as he sent a kick between the heroine's legs. He quickly backed off again putting up his defenses.
