"Well, this could prove interesting." He thought to himself. The man didn't care for Manhatten's offer, but he was curious as to why a independent company would put money into such a thing. As he watched the news, Tempest booted up his laptop and began to do a bit of background research on the investigation's 'illustrious benefactor'.

"Yeah, that might be a problem. There is no message, the details were over a phone call." Shade wasn't sure how she would be able to piece that together. He looked at his watch to see the time. It's already been almost an hour. I need to get there soon.

 

"I guess I will still give you the phone. If you can get the details you would be a tech genius."

Draco was grinning as he looked at the stack of bills "This is so easy," Draco said as he wore a mask. "Of course these heroes I've been hearing about lately are going to put a crimp in my style," Draco said as he sat in his hide out to look through anything that might curb his kleptomania. That and he wanted to see if any of the female heroes would chase him.

Sara allows herself a small smile, "Well, I was never one for false modesty, so yes I'd call myself a tech genius. I'll open the door and you can come in to give me your phone." she presses a button to unlock the safe house door and open it, allowing Shade to see her sitting behind a multi-monitor array on her desk, practically the picture of someone who spends their life around computers.

Pat and River had just arrived in their hotel room about an hour ago, and had gotten settled in. They had received a message describing the recent activity; and after keeping up with the news for a while, Pat decided that it seemed it had become serious enough that he should try to see what he can do. Now, they have decided to relax a little, after their trip, and have sat down in a cafe to have a light lunch. River began working on her laptop, following any recent activity.

 

River: "...It's like the crime rates have been rising ever since this "FEAR" thing started; it's awful! And there have been reports of meta-humans, that could either be good or bad..."

 

Pat: "Like you River."

 

"..."

 

"... I-I mean the meta-human part!"

 

*sigh* "I know what you meant."

 

"I'm sorry... You know if you weren't... special... those people would never have taken you, and you would have never escaped, and I never would have met you..."

 

"Umm... thanks"

 

"You are so awesome River! And you could be awesom-...er if you just learned to use your gift without fear."

 

"I don't think I'll ever not fear this power... But, thanks... You're the awesome one though. You take on all the bad guys, while I just sit at a computer or something!"

 

"Well, I don't know how true that is... but, I surely wasn't awesome at first... anyway, we need to get back on track. So there's no other evidence they leave beside-Yuck! Horseradish? I really need to read these menu selections more thoroughly!"

Aurora comes down after her meditation and asks her mom. "No lunch mom?"

 

She looks like she could use some of her mom's special tea. She looks as if she has been training again.

 

Aurora goes over to the table and sits down. She waits for her mom's reply.

Draco was currently out and about getting things ready for his next heist but he noticed the two people. He grinned slightly as he listened in from his seat. He was currently eating a hot dog.  a standard for him. Eat cheap and pay with only cash. Leave no finger prints.

The door opened to reveal this girl he had been taking to the last few minutes. The multi monitor array definitely gave off a technical person vibe right away. "You know I was joking right? I guess I stand corrected."

 

Shade walked through the door and took out the blood soaked cell phone. "You can say I had....how would you explain it...an accident. Big cut you know. Bled all over my poor pay by the minute cell phone from the local phone store. Can never trust the stupid things" Shade rattled on as he walked to the desk and handed the mysterious woman his cell phone. "You know, I never caught your name."

The lady sighed "Right this way," she stepped back from behind the desk and led lilith down a hallway, she was then put in a room, in this room a table was in the middle, another lady was sitting down, she pushed the hair out of her eyes "Come, sit, I assume your here because your either a psychic or a medium yes?"

on the news an important news bulletin appeared 

"This just in a dangerous armed individual has been spotted destroying a local bank in an attempt to rob it!"
This was the villain Terrorsaur, he was a league above any member of Wave Force in terms of power and level of danger, Terrorsaur wore a large exo suit which increased his strength, on that exo suit was a pair of large foldable wings and a jet pack in the middle, he wore gauntlets that shot tiny missiles, and was wielding a heavily modified AK-47, the suit also had a long tail, his helmet looked like it resembled a plague mask

Her mom chuckled "If you had just been patient I was just finishing it up" she handed aurora her lunch "Something on your mind?"

Just then, Pat saw a news report on the cafe tv of the bank robbery(and chaotic destruction) that was in progress.

 

"Well so much for relaxing this afternoon. We've got to go."

 

He helped her pick up her stuff, and they both headed to their car. Once River was seated and her wheelchair folded up, they drove off towards the crime scene. Pat parked in an inconspicuous location. River stayed in the car while Pat ran off somewhere out of sight.

    "Well yes I guess you could call what I do medium work". In all honesty Lilith had no idea how her powers actually worked. It was more like her guardian would simply do whatever it wanted without her knowing. It seemed to want to protect her, but who knows that could change in the future. The visions were more of something that happened and most of the time they were threatening in nature. "Sometimes I'll see things, such as visions. Most of them are rather jumbled but all of them tend to be very violent. The last one I saw was the killing of an entire gang. Anything I can do to help the police would be good. I want to make this city safe for my people on the reservations. Most of the women have left for fear of being raped, now its only me and few of the older natives who can't leave their culture behind. I want to make a difference though, maybe find out how my gift truly works". Was it a gift or was it actually a curse? She really didn't know. She did notice that her guardian was back and that it had taken the form of a small, lithe black cat sitting by the windowsill.

Aurora eats her lunch. She looks allot livelier after eating. "Thanks mom. Sorry for rushing you. You know how I get after training with midnight."

Swearing in pain now, Emile started to laugh. "You really, really shouldn't have resisted so much," he said, swinging his bo staff at Shock Wave's legs. Emile "swept the leg" (Karate Kid reference), tripping Shock Wave, causing him to fall to the ground. In one fluid motion, Emile detached the batons from each other, put them on his belt, drew his pistols, and shot Shock Wave's knees, hoping to paralyze him so he could be interrogated.

Draco sighed as he stood up. "Amateur," Draco said as he grinned to himself. He walked to the bank. When he got there he snuck in the back. He began to pick the lock to the large safe. It was a slow process yet there it was. The safe door opened slowly and in he walked putting cash into his bag and pockets. Of course he had breakable capsules full of capsaicin just incase. When he was done DRaco went out the back again slowly quietly. He left a surprised for the amateur. A capsule that would burst open spraying the extract into the b-yay-ards eyes.

Neri turned the TV off as he didnt find anything interesting he could do and went out the door... Finding an odd package addressed from his brother. He never knew he had a brother, could that mean he had a mother somewhere in the world aswell? Perhaps. He doesnt know this though, but when he heopened it... It contained just a pre-recorded message for him where a female voice was speaking to him, he left shortly after listening to it. The place he left to? Ofcourse it was the street.

 

Sheroe smiled as his other half Neri took the package and he understood he would listen to it. Sheroe later found some victims once again... But this time he stored them in the building. It was just two doctors this time to practice his arts, he even knew he was short on funds and thats why he choosed the two doctors. So after being done with that he transformed into a rich man that he had captured in the past and was mindwashed into working for him. Ofcourse since they didnt know eachother or ever showed up to the office together he knew that the employees would be suspicious. So he chose a way that nobody would suspect him, the only way he knew to do it... Transformed into the man himself while talking to the bank with all the numbers from the man himself from earlier.

Pat ran out towards Terrorsaur, now fully suited. At some distance, he formed a bullhorn construct and yelled out to him.

 

"Hey you! I know you're not going to listen but Stop what you are doing!" 'If only they would listen. But at least it should take his mind off of the bank'

Draco grinned as he got away from the scene. "Another successful heist," Draco said to himself as he walked to his nice Ford. He put the money into a hidden compartment. He then drove off towards the scene to watch the entertainment. "These heroes as they call themselves are quite the selfish lot. But to him they are so entertaining what with their no kill rule.

Sara shrugs, donning a pair of gloves before taking the ruined phone, "Liquid damage? No problem, just give me a minute." She expertly cracks open the phone and removes the sim chip, "Hmm, chip looks good, but I'll clone it just to be safe." She presses the chip into a machine until it beeps, signalling that her new chip is ready, then takes the newly-copied device and places it in a new phone, "Well, now comes the interesting part... While normally you can't look at a call unless you've recorded it, the city's board of overseers authorized call recording for any call that occurs within the city... Which means that it shouldn't be too hard to crack into their network and match up the call to listen to it. Give me a minute." Turning to her computer, she begins to rapidly type, entering the call database to access what she wants.

Terrorsaur simply looked at his direction, outstreched his arm and launched small missiles at him, the concussive missiles blew The Star Spangled man backwards and onto the ground, Terrorsaur then walked into the hole he blew into the bank

The news on TV continued reporting on Terrorsaurs assault on the bank,

The lady smiled, writing a check for lilith while she spoke "I know what you are, I knew of your abilities when you walked in the room, Im a psychic too, this question was just to judge your character, wanted to make sure only those willingly to genuinely help would be hired on, so many come in just for the money" she looks at the window seal "She yours? Dont see many of those around" she handed her the check "before I give this to you, I need to warn you, the FEAR killer is a powerful psychic, most psychics we send to crime scenes are overwhelmed with terrible visions and nightmares, hence why we are so desporate for psychics, because so many drop out and leave us because they cant take it, if you want to drop out now, I would understand."

"Your his daughter" she started "It may...take some getting used to but I think he would accept you, but I think you should wait until this FEAR thing clears up, so he doesnt have to think about that while also on an important case"

It took Tempest a bit to notice the story and he simply sighed. "These people never learn." He thought to himself as he stood and walked outside. Tempest then shifted into a dragon and flew towards the bank. "I guess that's why there are people like me." Electricity arced between his back spines as he felt the wind rush by. It didn't take him long to arrive at the scene.

Emile said to Shock Wave, zip tying his hands and legs together. "You see, unlike most of the other heroes in this town, I mean business," he continued, pointing the gun towards Shock Wave's head. "I know how to get shit done. Now I've been working on this "FEAR" case for a while now, and I just wanted to know," he paused, grabbing Shock Wave by the collar and slamming him into the brick wall, punching him across the face, the impact increased by the steel outer layer of his mag-gloves, "What is your part in all of this? I know that you're just some street punk, part of Wave Force. Shock Wave, right?" Emile was running out of time and patience. He turned Shock Wave around and bent one of his fingers backwards, saying "You'd better hope I'm satisfied with your answer," he then broke the finger, "because there are nine more I can break, and that's just a warm up..."

Green watched the t.v angrily. "Great. Just great. TO THE BANK!" He put on his bandana grabbed his sword and climbed on the roof. "Aaannnd the bank is that way." He pulled out his phone and searched it. "Alright that way." He moved from roof to roof on his way to the bank.

Pat grunted as he was knocked to the ground by the blast. He looked up to see Terrorsaur stepping into the bank, and used constructs to boost him back up on his feet. 

 

"No you don't!"

 

He created a brick wall around him to stop him from entering further, and formed his normal shield construct on his arm as he ran towards him.

Draco waited for when the terrorsuar found out that someone else stole the money. He grinned as he lit up a cigar. "Hmm so nice isn't it?" Draco asked aloud as he watched the two. "Two hunters of fortune yet one has more experience in stealth than some amateur," Draco said.

Shade watched as the woman went to work. He knew his way around computers, but his skills didn't match anything that this woman was bringing to the table. I know how to do some things on a computer, usually need tutorials for anything complicated. But this is ridiculous!

 

If his mask was off, she would see a mouth slightly open as he watched the keys rapidly typed away. "They record our phone calls? I see that as a breach of my privacy! How can my clients make business deals with me if the man is recording my calls?"

 

Shade noticed she hasn't given him her name. Playing hard to get eh? Shade huddled over the desk, trying to watch what this woman was doing on the computer, failing to keep up.
