Background Pony Episodes!

After watching Slice of Life, which is now my new favourite episode, i was wondering how would you guys like it if more background pony episodes were to happen in the future? I don't know how often they'd appear or anything like that but I've just been thinking about it recently. For example the one I though of could be based around Dr Hooves and Derpy/Rose Luck doing time travel and the title could be "How The Times Have Turned" (Pay on the saying "Oh how the tides have turned" and considering another name for the doctor is Time Turner) 

 

What do you guys think? Would you like that? What episodes would you have?

It seems to me that people who have been long-time fans or are very active in the community liked the episode. But people like me, who got into the show in the last year, or mabye people who dont follow the fandom so hardcore, thought the episode was meh.

 

To me, It was just another episode really, and id still like it to be mostly about the Mane 6, the main characters you know?

Don't worry about it. I reckon it'd be best to keep it as the mane 6 as well. Just the though of a possibility though :3

It's best they keep this as a one-shot deal. It was a lot of fun and definitely a nice shout-out to everyone involved with a lot of cultural references and self-referential humor, but it was really a departure from the norm of the show, so it's best we get back to regular episodes. If we had one of these every week, it would really devalue this particular episode, not to mention how risky it would be handing these characters off to different writers.

Wind Chaser beat me to it. Keep it as a one-shot and it's all good. It was a great episode and a shout-out at us bronies but it would be best if they did not overdo this. Having a background pony say some lines every other episode is fine but this show should still be centered on the Mane 6.

I think it'd be nice to have them speak every now and then, but keep it about the mane 6.

I would love to have the background ponies be semi-regular characters with regular speaking lines.  There's just too much great stuff here to forget about them.  I'd love to see all of them interact with the six in some way.  But I still want the show to primarily focus on the six.  The issue here is time.  There's just not enough time to juggle that many characters and give them all screen time.  FIM is easily good enough and deep enough to warrant hour long episodes.  Then there would be time enough for everypony.

FIM has free access to all of these interesting characters. If they want the show to keep going and not stagnate, by having the same characters learn the same lessons over and over again, they need to utilize all of what they have.

Nah, I don't think they should do more background poneh centered episodes unless for another celebration, but they could give them roles alongside the mane6 in future episodes though

And now you see Hasbro's ingenious plan with episode 100. No I don't want to see more background pony episodes, I want the show to stay with the freaking characters we fell in love with, but I know these episodes are in the works.
