I find the cartoon adult ponies cuter than the baby ones because the baby ones like the CMC remind me too much of bratty kids. It's the personality that really matters.

I don't really see human babies as particularly cute, and I feel the same way about baby ponies, though I like the latter a lot more. They're too small for cuddles (being able to be affectionate with them is important for me to feel that something is cute), don't make that many sounds that I'd consider adorable, lack the long cute hair, and I'm not a fan of the eyes they have... >.< That being said, I think the baby Mane 6 are fairly cute, though not on the same level as their grown-up selves are.

 

There's something about the head's roundness that I don't like much as well, but I can't explain it well.

If I don't find regular ponies cute, then I don't find baby ponies cute.

 

Manufactured cute is not cute to me. Creating something with all of the stereotypes of cuteness does not strike me at all. Ponies and baby ponies were created to be cute, which is basically like eating fake sugar to me. It isn't the real stuff, and is over the top sickeningly sweet.

 

Also, most things that are manufactured cute share the proportions of human babies. Whether a fully adult pony or a baby pony. Gigantic heads, tiny noses, small bodies. And I have a huge distaste for human babies. Anything that resembles them makes me want to punch their gigantic heads. 

 

That being said, I don't think baby or regular old ponies are like that. I think regular ponies are pretty and... I have no real opinion on baby ponies except that I praise the decision to give them small beady eyes. If they gave them the normal eyes, they'd just be taking it too far with the sugary disgusting cuteness. They are well-designed and don't take things too far. But aren't cute.

 

The only things I find cute that are stereotypically considered that are REAL LIFE kittens and puppies. Note: Not cartoons, nothing stylized. Just a creature that was created randomly by nature with no intention of me finding it cute. (Unlike human babies, which most people except me and some other weirdos are instinctively programmed to find cute) Because whilst they do have some proportions similar to human babies, they're different enough and subtle enough to be absolutely adorable.

Baby ponies are alright but I personally find fillies and colts cuter. Like the CMCs ages.

Funny you should mention that. I was reading everyone's comments about the solid eyes and thought of shark eyes - I actually find shark eyes to be cute as well. 

I think it's because I grew up a fan of all sorts of rodents (hamsters, mice, rats, etc) and they all have solid eyes, and in many cases I find that cuter than seeing the whites even though it is harder for a character to be expressive. Thus the baby pony eyes I find totally adorable.
