Second Half of Season 5 Delayed

Earlier today Hasbro made a tweet on their account stating that the second half of season 5 will be delayed.

 

Now, this could be bad or good, whichever what you look at it. For me, it's both. We don't get to see the new episodes sooner, which is annoying, but we do get the season stretched out more.

This means that the episode coming out tomorrow will be the last one for a while. I'm not too sure on the date of the show returning.

What do you guys think about this news?

Well, I wouldn't be as irked about it if it wasn't for the fact we've already had a hiatus this season. Of course, it does spread it out more, but I was hoping for a summer new MLP episodes.

Why are they doing this?

Because they are.  

They either decided that they want to stretch it out all year so they can like get new ideas for episodes and shit, or they just felt like it's what they should do.

The bullshit season six tweet makes this seem worse than it already kinda is.  "Guess what?!  Season six is right around the corner!  Wait...  Nope.  Not only is season six nowhere near airing, but we're delaying the latter half of season five."

Or don't tweet at all. Use a blog format like EqD for things like news, not 40-something character tweets full of shortened words and hashtags...Tweeter by its very nature encourages quick blurbs without thought. (End social media rant)

 

We have a long wait for S5, then a few episodes, then a week or so of break, then a few episodes, then a large break, then more episodes...

Doesn't surprise me much. I think they're trying to stretch season 5 and season 6 out to end RIGHT before the FIM movie in 2017, so them delaying seems about right.
