"Yeah sure, go ahead." Caramel said to Rave a bit absent minded, staring at the gorgeous marble structure. "I'm going to head up stairs, see what I can find. What out for traps everypony." Caramel said while climbing on to the stairs.

 

The stairs led to a large marble door. Where did they get all this marble? Caramel tried to push the door open but it did not move a thing. There was no lock or a door handle. ''Strange, now what?''

Aqua bounded up next to Tyra and gasped at the sudden change in atmosphere around her. She loved how the floor reminded her of pearls. Her eyes widened in amazement. Although Aqua had seen many beautiful rooms in her life. She had seen beautiful caves like this one. Especially back in Aquastria...

Scarlett followed Caramel up the stairs and said "If that's a door, and it wont open, the there must be a lock. But considering there's no keyhole, it must be some other form of lock. Some, passphrase or object that you have to do something with to open it. Maybe Aqua could help."

"Yeah, that might be a good idea, considering her experience with these kinda structures." Caramel said as she trotted towards the railing of the stairs. "Aqua! could ye come up here for a sec, we need ye help." Caramel yelled downwards, assuming Aqua was standing there.

"What do you mean experience with these kind of structures? I meant she might be able to help because she's from the ocean, so is this probably, so she might know something that could help us. Maybe there are clues down where Rave is, if we have no luck with this I'm going down there.

Aqua was already at Caramel's side. Of course Caramel must've not noticed earlier. Aqua looked at the door and recognized it. She smiled slightly and cleared her throat. She started speaking in a completely foreign language. None of her words seemed to make sense to the other ponies. Aqua finished speaking and watched the door slide open.

Tyra watched quizzically as Aqua began to speak in some strange tongue that she had never heard before. She assumed it was the language of the sea ponies; it would make sense, considering their adventure would take them below the water.

 

She grinned widely and gave Aqua a big hug as the door opened.

"You did it, my friend!" She squeaked.

Aqua's cheeks blushed pink a bit and she chuckled shyly. She hugged Tyra tightly back, giggling with glee. "Aww shucks!" Aqua gushed. Her cheeks were still pink from blushing. "It wasn't much, really!" Aqua assured her, smiling shyly. Her smile soon grew wider with joy.

"Thanks Aqua." Caramel said as she looked at the door that was slowly opening. Beams of light fell on Caramel's face. Behind the room was a small room, with a table standing in the centre. A chandelier hanging from the sealing. Caramel walked into the room, towards the table. A small wooden box was laying on it. "This is it, this is why we are here."

"Disappointing, I must say... I mean, if you think about it.... they went through all the trouble of making a marble seif.... and there  it is.... a wooden box... they couldve at least ironcladed it... or decorated a little... it looks so dull and square. was expecting something a bit more... interesting. Do we even know what is in it?"

Scarlett walked into the large room. She looked up and saw a unlit chandelier and wondered, why have something like that somewhere where it is likely never to be lit. They'd never know. Seeing the box, and the ponies going towards it, Scarlett said "Wait! It could be a trap!"

She carefully opened it up, surprise that it was not locked, inside there was a map. Caray grabbed the map and ran out the room, downstairs. "Rave, map, encrypted!" she sat out of breath.

Rave looked up to see Caramel running towards him with a map. He levitated the map from her and smiled. He started to look at it. "I think I should be able to solve this puzzle, figure out the code. Rest assured, this encrypted map will be translated. I might need some help from Wade though".

Tyra tilted her head as she watched Caramel grab the map from the box.

It was not the fact she did it that was so confusing...it was that nothing else had happened.

 

"That is it?" She asked, "No traps, or great big enemy to battle? I must say that was quite...what is the word...auntie-climate?"

Rave nodded to Caramel. "Aye aye Capta---" he felt the ground shaking and then Caramel suggesting that they get out fast. "A trap must have been triggered, I have been to many ancient temples before. I also took the liberty to map out the area. I might know a way out" he suggested.

Tyra looked beneath her hooves as the ground began to vibrate. Rock and dust came falling from the roof.

 

"YES! I knew there was a trap!" She squeaked, punching the air with a hoof, "This cave was not such a disappointment after all!"

 

She looked to the others, who didn't seem so impressed.

"...perhaps we should leave, aye?" She added more meekly.

Aqua felt the ground tremble and she dashed out of the marble cave and down this stairs whe she reunited with the others. She nearly fell on her face when the ground below her shook. She staggered back up on her hooves to regain her balance. "Yeah we should swim for it!" Aqua stated with a worried look.

Scarlett follows up the rear of the party mumbling to herself with a magic shield above her head. As the rocks were falling on it and sliding down the sides the said "What could go wrong, she said." She then shouted in a almost mocking tone "It's just a little wooden box".

 

A rather large rock lands on the shield, knocking Scarlett to the ground, and she thinks to herself "Lava, right." before speeding up to keep pace with the others.

 

Aqua felt the ground tremble and she dashed out of the marble cave and down this stairs whe she reunited with the others. She nearly fell on her face when the ground below her shook. She staggered back up on her hooves to regain her balance. "Yeah we should swim for it!" Aqua stated with a worried look.

As she caught up with Aqua she said "Those jokes are never going to get old unless I drown"

Lordy was still in the doorway watching the ceiling. As soon as the ceiling starts cracking he tells himslef'

'This might be a good moment to get out... surely... wouldn't it?'

Another piece fell,

he started legging it.

"Only way to get out is to go back where we came from right?" Caramel said as she turned around. She saw large pieces of rock tumbling down the path, blocking it. "Oh that's just great. We're stuck!" Caramel said passing around panicky while defending herself from the rocks and dust around her. The ground stopped shaking, the last bit of dust fell from the ceiling. "It stopped.''

Tyra looked up at the large pieces of rock blocking the exit. She smirked and sat back on her haunches, cracking her forehooves.

"Ha! These rocks are nothing!" She boasted, stretching her heck side to side, "Stand back, friends!"

 

She strode over to the rocks, and felt one of them with her hoof. She tapped a bit with a smirk. "Aye, here."

 

She reeled back her hoof and slammed it into the centre of the boulder with a hoof, causing it to begin cracking and crumbling into pebbles and dust. She began repeating the process for any other rocks in the way.

"At least the rackling stopped. We could always.... blow it up... Just need to put a pouch of black powder underneath. Would work faster than cracking all the rocks. BUt it would be pretty noisy... and it might cause another landslide. Anyway..."

He took out his pocket watch.

"It is time for my tea."

Lit some dry weeds (they do grow in caves), sat down and started boiling some water.

"Anyone care for some?"

"Tyra, what are ye doing? That's gonna take too long. It's sweet for ye to come with a solution but that is going to take forever, besides, how are we ever going to get back up from the rift.?" Caramel said looking at Tyra. "There has be a other way out, a secret passage way. That's one thing I learned from exploring all these years. There has be a other way."

Wade ears shot up from their drooped state with an almost audible flap when the talk of a secret passage was brought up. Finally, a moment for his abilities to come in handy. "Leave finding a hidden passage to me. I'll have these caves mapped out in no time at all." Wade eagerly set to work, looking around the environment for any crevice, passage, or hollow wall that may lead back up to the surface.
