Long ago Princess Luna formed a secret society to carry out her various tasks. But when she was banished the group disbanded and was soon forgotten. After one thousand years Princess Luna returned from her years of banishment and sought to reform the secret society. However the nature of these task, although for the greater good, were not always legal. So Princess Luna sent word to the greatest theives, sneaks and bounty hunters in Equestria. The group would be a tremendous force for good. They would soon be known throughout Equestrian as The Midnight Guild.

Hello I'm Dapper Charmer and what you just read was a little taste of the RP I am planning on running. The basic plot is that Princess Luna has put together a group of semi criminals to help fight crime from the other side of the law. This is my first RP so any tips would be helpful.

Rules:

1: Follow all basic rules for Roleplaying as outlined by the mlp forums.

2:All OC's are welcome except for alicorn( sorry nothing personal)

3: no goodie two shoes, these are criminals after all

4: no God modding

5: Only the DM can control cannon characters. you can control characters you come across (unless otherwise stated by the DM)

6: one OC per person

7: keep swearing to a minimal

8:missions are only handed out by the DM

The villain of this RP(who is at the moment unnamed) will be played by me.
Modern technology will be used in this RP.
The RP will begin when we have four members.

Are you sure you want to use this OC? its a great OC but this RP is centred around criminals. If you are absolutely sure you want to use this OC I'll still need what role you want.

Out of curiosity, is this an anthro roleplay? I ask cause most role plays pertaining to a more tech savvy Equestria tend to be anthro based. Also, how tech savvy is this Equestria? Are we talking steampunk? Post electric age? Post television & radio? Post computerization? Modern? Near future? Distant future? What?

 

Cause that will determine what my character has done to warrant membership.

Dear Denim&Venom to answer your first question, no this is not an Athro roleplay all the characters are ponies, or similar creatures. sorry if I did not make that clear. To answer your second question I would say the technology level is Modern. Computers, TV, Wireless networks, those sorts of things. I hope I have successfully answered your questions.

Appearance: A red fox the height of a large stallion, w/ messy, mid length reddish brown mane & red eyes. 

 

Personality: witty, sarcastic, condescending, shameless, lecherous, coy, seductive, has a dark sense of humor, a flair for the dramatics and is borderline sociopathic. Think Tyler Durden from Fight Club & Alucard from Hellsing abridged rolled into one. 

 

Backstory: If there was a go between for any well known criminal organizations, it was probably Miko.

If you went to a swap meet or some store located in a shady district to get a fancy watch or saddlebag, it was probably counterfeit and one of her many subsidiaries. 

Shipment of illicit/dangerous goods? She's the one who organized it so it wouldn't get caught.

Illegal fights, street races or gatherings of a more sultry nature? She found the place, the time and the distraction to keep cops away.

Fancy or private ride jacked? She's the one who orders changes to the serial numbers and chooses what goes to which chop shop. 

Insider trading? If she didn't release it to manipulate the market, then she's the one capitalizing on it. Fraud, forgery, & embezzlement? Foals play to her. 

Somebody needs a "favor", they go to a guy, who goes to a guy, who goes to her. Or maybe it's her all along. She knows some people, pulls some strings, and gets it done. 

Need a way out of jail, or something brought in? Either way, it's done.

Prosecutors tied up in bureaucracy? Cops halted by procedure? Investigations finding a cleared out scene or sketchy evidence? She's the one with the criminology & law degrees. 

 

If it's a crime she can commit indirectly, one she can pull the strings of, one that toys with the laws & moral fabrics of the society at large, she'll do it, and wash her paws of it. Laws change, and therefore, are to be disregarded completely. The individual is not an asset to be collected by the society. Society is an asset to be collected upon by the individual (a moral, noble way of being a freeloader). 

 

Part middle-mare, part transporter, part robber baron, part con-artist, part anti-establishmentarian counterculture terrorist, all malcontent. Look up the definition of "sly like a fox" and her picture is next to it. She's the type of criminal everypony hates, but wants to be. She's the best there is at it. She's had a lifetime of practice, and more. 

 

 

I was aiming for Brains, but that's been taken. So I'll let you judge what she'd be good for.

Though I have to ask how the whole joining process works to begin with? Do we join willingly out of a change of heart? Are we caught and offered an attempt at reformation? Or is Luna coming to us to strike a deal: our services for a favor in return?
