You're right. And it would bring a whole bunch of new ideas.

They have the potention to be good characters, but all we need are writers who believe in the idea. And if not, we can always hope for fanprojects like Doctor Whooves and Button's adventures. But I hope the makers won't get another C&D from an overzealous lawyer.
