​I kind of like what we have so far. Maybe we can rewind things a bit. The part where you wake up at his place or your place or wherever it was, you find him gone, saying he got called away for government reasons. That way, we can still have the interactions w/ Indicus, Twitch & Hidden and have Anna & Zeus get introduced another way.

"We'll just say that you received an email from Drone explaining why he can't be there and who can help. I can bring in a character who can fill his role, but they will come after I set things into motion.

I like what we have too, but the problem is a lot of what went down involves a bunch of other people. Drone was a key part in both your stories. Anna was gonna be the next part. Ignis looked to be set to play a big part. But they've left glaring gaps in our story. You can't pretend they didn't exist. They fueled quite a few of your characters actions & motivations. 

 

It's probably best if we reboot this. Same premise, characters and setting, heck we can just copypaste the first few pages of our posts and continue on as planned. If we allow players to join or rejoin, we'd ask to get some commitment out of them, so as not to derail everypony elses fun.
