Hasbro has Registered the Domain "mylittleponythemovie.com" !

I'm learning that Hasbro has registered the domain "mylittleponythemovie.com", as mentioned on EQD.

 

Hopefully we get more details once they have the site up and running. Even though it isn't up, they registered it as shown on Whois up.

It would be awfully embarressing to have it bought out right before the movie's release by some group of Icelandic pony breeders making a documentary or something equally unlikely.

I'm amazed they waited until now. The movie was announced ages ago, I would have thought they'd have registered the domain before announcing the film to prevent squatting, especially with what is essentially an obvious domain name.

It's worth noting they may not even use that domain; some companies will buy domains so that others can't, even if they never use them, so as to try and stop fake websites.
