Citing a thread full of fan-speculation doesn't count as "proof".

Besides, even if we adults assume they are high or drunk it doesn't mean kids will get it.

Since it's ambiguous and the kiddies can't grasp it, it still fits fine into the show's rating.

Thanks for saving me the trouble of going through all that myself disappointed that i couldn't show off my smarts.

 

They probably get away with so much because it's not so much a "here is this drunkard, watch her stumble around and puke in the gutter, LAUGH!" as it is for the adult who'll actually pick up on this, kids will just have most of these concepts fly above their head, in Disney's Tarzan the main bad guy gets hung and you get see his corpses shadow on a tree in the background hanging from the vines. A morbid scene for Walt Disney, i believe that got a G rating.

 

In short if you're not to on the nose with something you can get away with anything, i can't remember what cartoon i watched when i was a kid but when i came back to it i saw the hints that one character was sexually assaulted... G rated movies everypony!

Like, they aren't allowed to show mild violence, intimate scenes aside from two or three kisses for 4,5 seasons, and strong language, but they easily allowed to show:

1)Discrimination

2)Racism

3)Crushing poverty

4)Concentrational camps

5)Tortures

6)Murder

7)Tyranny

8)Brainwashing

9)Fascist state

10)Alcohol and drug usage

11)Genocide

It's only a possibility they're related, and even if the Pies are related, it's not that close. The Pie sisters would be fourth cousins twice removed by a fifth cousin. Most people will hardly think third cousins are incest. At the point the Pies are at, I'm pretty sure that the Pie genes haven't even mixed with anyone besides that fifth cousin's.
