Bad stuff happens everywhere.

This.

Bad stuff isn't exclusive to one place. It happens to all sorts of places, it is just tragedy decided to strike in France this time. It is such a shame that these things happen at all....Humanity saddens me sometimes.

Bad stuff is happening everywhere, everyday... Not just France. It's just not a lot of stuff is as horrible as what happened in France but don't get me wrong... the other stuff is horrible too and other countries have experienced the worth events in History also.

Example is 9/11

Yeah. I get angry when people say jet fuel cant melt steel beams and it's therefore fake. You don't need to melt a tower to destroy it, just look at angry birds, duh.

France seems to be a perfect place to attack for terrorist's because it's a target close enough to both Britain and the USA to strike terror into individuals (that IS what terrorism is about). No doubt these vile attacks will stop here.

But it's important to remember that while that was happening in Paris, there were also attacks in Beirut and Lebanon as well as earthquakes in Mexico and Japan. The day as a whole was a dark one.

Bad stuff happens everywhere.

It has always been this way. Only because of internet and social media we're hearing all of them now or people blow them up in exaggeration. And then people have more concern over a smaller detail than bigger news especially when that smaller detail concerns their own interests.

France hasn't had a good relationship with the Middle East, and its involvement there has made some of the Islamic State upset to the point that they will seek vengeance by striking back.

And bad things happen all the time. There is crime every day, as well as ongoing conflict in some parts of the world. What happened in Paris came as a shock because it wasn't expected and Western first-world countries are known for having more peace and higher security when it comes to these things.

This. ISIS even said that France is their number one enemy apart from the USA due to their involvement with the United States in the Middle East.

Bad things happen everywhere, they're not exclusive to one nation, state, town, or region.

The real issue is, that actually well as everybody said, bad stuff happens everywhere. But when it's a big country where it happens in (like USA, France, those kinda countries yknow), Well it gets mediatized pretty well because of the reputation of the country.

Almost nobody knows that right now there's still a civil war in Sri Lanka, why you may ask? Because that country never got the chance and never got mediatized for good stuff

That's my point of view for the situation

But still, I love my country, and I got really affected when I've came accross it on twitter (I live in French Guiana right now)

How can someone prepare to something like this? The event was selected and the attack was organized.

This could have happened elsewhere too. It happened in France, instead.

Well, I feel like our intelligence services in America are playing a big part behind the scenes in keeping us safe. As much as the CIA gets a bad rap (and maybe it's kinda deserved), I think there's a reason we're not seeing that much of this kind of thing over here. So even though what happened in France was horrible, I don't feel scared - only worried that this kind of thing'll keep happening.

The only reason people are talking about what happened in France to this extent is because of the media. If the media doesn't want your attention on something, they won't report on it. Terrorism attacks like this happen every day in the Middle East, yet you don't see people as shocked or mournful over it. That's because the media isn't focussing on it for whatever reason.

In addition to the media, people are paying attention to this incident because it hits a little closer to home. France isn't a third world country where death and violence is "expected." It makes people realize that if a large scale terrorist attack happened to France, then we're likely next. But if it's in the Middle East, then it's not as shocking because they're a "third world" country.

What happened in France is a travesty nonetheless. And it pains me to see the pain and suffering that they are going through right now. But I don't mourn this incident anymore than I do the souls lost in Syria or South Sudan civil war. Life is life -- and a country won't stir in me extra compassion, because I have no extra compassion left over to give. It makes me sad to see death in any instance.

The world is an ugly and unseemly place in times like these, and it reminds people what a dangerous world we live in. If you pray, don't just pray for France -- pray for every soul that is suffering from terrorism.
