Why is it that every game or any piece of media today I have to be signed into an account, got to make an account, have to make passwords, verify this and verify that. Why is everything so about making accounts? It's driving me nuts.

It's definitely annoying. I hate having to verify my account to do stuff. I hate having to go to my email in order to do this and I have to remember a password. I hate having to make an account, I just want to do one thing on the website for once in my life but there are websites that require accounts and don't have guests so you have to make an account to make one post.

It's the easiest way for website and game devs so privatise, personalize, and organize information. It could be done through ip tracking, and seperate game data and website data, but it'd be hard to really notice miniscule differences, and if there are more than one person using the same ip, then they'd be using the same data. Therefore accounts make it easier.

Though I agree, it does get a bit annoying at times.

Yeah and those emails need their own verification, and sometimes you have to time stuff right.

I feel like I'm trying to crack the code to the President's nuclear weapons launch codes or trying to access NASA satellite codes.

What happened to, open game, the game starts.

Then when you get locked out of your account or email then you got to wait for customer service to reply or wait for the next day if you hit the wrong key input.

Because you need a account in the first place to do a lot of things, would you prefer never needing to do that and use you're identity its self? A lot of things need a profile of what you're doing such as stat tracking in a game or you're profile on a social media site, I can only imagine a game not needing a account. As for emails well every one is expected to have one and its harder to have bots make fake accounts  needing email activation. Most things need to keep track of you how else would you be able to use mlp forums, and what if you forget you're info?

Yeah but I'd rather just have one account without all this dumbass security to sift through.

Just save all you're info on a text document. I could see a system of having one account but I don't see it happening any time soon, and also fear how much control the service provider has.
