Indus took a look at the village ruins, trying to deduce what exactly happened to this place. He closed his eyes as the cold breeze brushed past him, and felt a pleasant warmth from Flearia's shield spell.

"Thank you," he said, before looking on at the wreckage.

 

"No sign of weapon damage," he muttered, scanning the wrecked houses, "nor any burning... it's like the place just collapsed. But how...?"

summer hated to admit it but she was so done with this weather, where did the nice weather go? how could the weather have changed so quickly? she was happy with flearia's shield spell "You know what, for once I'm okay with you using magic." summer said to her friend.

 

then summer rolled her eyes because of indus' question, wasn't that obvious? "Because it's old. Nothing will last forever and if the ponies who lived here moved away and stopped taking care of their houses then they colaps. easy as that." summer said with a slightly arrogant tone in her voice. This wasn't to throw anypony off but she was just happy that she knew the answer for once since she had no idea what proff was talking about most of the time.

Indus rolled his eyes and looked at Summer. "My house didn't collapse while I was studying in Trottingham for about four years, Miss Breeze."

 

He used his magic to lift a plank of wood and inspect it further. "No mould or damage... there's no way a house can collapse in the span of a few months."

summer rolled her eyes again "A year is not enough to let a house colaps. these ponies must have been away for much longer already. just resently it happened that the houses got at a state where they were getting so old that they started to collaps." she explained to proff. "That's also the reason there are still some houses standing." and she gestured with her hoove to one of the few houses that weren't collapsed

Listening to Summer and Indus argue about the struktures and their age. Flearia noted in on  it while keeping a look out for some shelter from the rain. "Well your both right. But something isn't right... As Indus noted, There isn't any mold or other notifications of age dagame. still their all a total vreck and look like thei'v been destroyed by time... Maybe some kind of temporal magic?"

 

While she said this she found one house that wasn't damaged as badly as the others and entered it and motioned for te others to follow, once all would be inside she cancelled her magic aura and looked to them. "Any sign of where our "friend" might have gone? Think he passed trough here?"

Summer sighed when flearia also started about magic. but she didn't deny that it could've been magic, everything here seemed to be done by magic and she would just have to accept it. "Maybe it is, but is there a spell that could do that?" summer asked to both of her friends.

 

then they all went into a house that sheltered them from the wind and flearia deactivated the shield. summer was kinda happy, it was more comfortable to be in an actual house as inside a magical bubble. then flearia asked if they thought the armour pony had been here. summer shrugged her shoulders, she hadn't found any sign of him yet. "I don't know." she said "but what I do know, or think at least, is that this might be the military camp. maybe they decided to live here and build this village where the camp has once been. do you guys think that's possible?"

Indus, seeing no reason to do otherwise, followed Flearia into the somewhat still-intact house, and deactivated her shield once everypony was inside.

 

He heard Summer's suggestion that this might have been that military camp the armoured pony mentioned, and he put a hoof to his chin in thought.

"That is indeed a possibility," he agreed, glancing downward as he tried to put the pieces together, "and considering the damages are at least a month old, we can rule out the conclusion that he caused this destruction."

Summer's comment sounded strange to Flearia. That the military camp that the armor pony had mentioned might have been the village theire now in. Still... An army wouldn't build houses or aettle for good in a random place? Would they?

 

"I don't know... Why would the military camp have settled here? I mean. Ponys would want to get home to their familys instead pf starting new here?" she said while looking around the house, finding a fireplace and made a fire in it. "Altough... Them Deamon Ponys have some strange rule and laws... Might have happend."

Indus furrowed his brow as he listened to Flearia's queries. She raised some good points, once again.

 

"Very true, Ms Dragondanser," he murmured, and started pacing across the room, staring at the floor in deep thought.

 

This army could not have built this town, and there are no signs of natural or ponymade damages. But they couldn't be old enough to already start rotting away...

 

"Perhaps those demon ponies from the town are involved?" He suggested to the girls. "We don't know what they're capable of yet."

Summer nodded in agreement with her friends, those demon ponies had some weird magic. "Maybe we could go back to the demon ponie town and do some research?" Summer suggested but then she walked outside but she noticed that the sun was starting to set and the wind was still strong and cold. She walked back inside "or maybe we could do that tomorrow." She said "the weather here is so strange, let's hope it's better tomorrow."

"Ay I'm all for reserching more about this" Flearia said while doodling some on one of her papera. "Tough there is one big problem with that." she showed her friends her doodle. It was a somewhat bad drawing of herself standing behind bars. She ripped the paper in two at the head line. "If I set my hoofs there they'll kill me."

Indus nickered with annoyance. Flearia was correct - she was a suspect in that town, and somepony might raise an alarm if they spotted her.

 

...unless...

 

"Do you have anything we can cover your face with?" She asked the unicorn. "Or perhaps you know an appearance altering spell?"

A sly smile escaped Flearia's mussle to Indus question. "Do I know any apperance altering spells? I'm not my memtors pupil for naught. I know how to temporarly give ponys wings, I can change a mare to a stallion" she said as if Indus word had been a challenge. "My mentor even showd me Tempora Inferio. Age spell, tough I dare not use it! The risks are to great."

 

She looked at Indus and smiled. "You want to se how you would look like as a Mare? Indus?"

Summer watched the two talk about appearance altering spells and a shiver run down summers spine. But she couldn't help but laught when flearia offerent to change proff into a misses "do it! Do it!" she cheered enthausiasticly. As long as they would keep the magic away from her she was fine with it.

Indus rubbed his chin in thought. "Perhaps we can use one of those spells to--" He froze, his eyes widened at Flearia's mention of the aging spell. "Tempora Inferio? Who in Equestria taught you such a powerful spell?"

 

He curled his upper lip at Flearia's suggestion to change him into a mare with the gender swap spell. Summer's encouragement didn't help. "I'd prefer if you didn't, but if you absolutely must."

"Whom else then my mentor? She is the only other pony I know who can cast it using only her own power. She made me do it once, as a power check." Flearia said and shrugged a bit at the end.

 

Hearing Summer's cheer and Indus protest made her eager, she smiled and lit her horn! Irra taking cover behind Summer as a blinding light filled the shackle they now found themself in!

 

Once the light ceased and the ponys could ae again there was now a change in how many mares amd stallion it was in there!

 

"Ow! Irra! Quit biting me like a rabid wolf!" a dark voice called out. Vissible now where Flearia had stood was now a tall muscular stallion. Where the slender legs was now well trained brute legs together with a big chest! His mussle had changed from slim to broad and his mane and tail changed from long wavy to short and standing. Also he now had a eteral wolf on his head gnawing like mad on his ear!

 

The darker voice continued. "She dosn't like it when I do this."

Summer closed her eyes when flearia created a big flash. She jumped backwards and her heart was pounding like crazy and when she finaly dared to open her eyes again she jumped back again and her heart pounded even faster. Flearia was nowhere to be seen, instead there was a stallion that looked somewhat like flearia.

 

When summer calmed down a bit and the stalion didn't do anything dangerous she stepped a little closer. "Flearia, is that you?" she asked carefully.

The new stallion in the room made a smirk he himself tought would be charming, not having any experience the resoult was to be shown. "Flearia? I don't know whom this beautifull, talented unicorn would be." a laugh that sounded way to girlish for the dark voice filled the room. "Ay it is me, did I succeed again? How do I look?"

Summer laughed reliefed when it indeed was flearia "hehe, you look great, kind of, not my type but good enough" summer said teasing to her friend. She was still a bit puzzeled by all of this and she still found it hard to see this new stallion as her friend but she knew it was her, deep on the inside somewhere.

Indus shielded his eyes as the light from Flearia's horn illuminated the room. When it passed, he looked up to see a stallion who was strikingly similar to the magic student who had been standing in that very spot.

 

He glanced up at the fire spirit gnawing at the new pony's ear. "It seems your little friend there caused a slight malfunction on your aim. But you cast the spell perfectly, besides."

"Naa, It was intended to be on me. I won't force change on anyone! I know the pain of so." Flearia said and once again frowned to his memories. "Part of humility teachings" he muttered before trying to compare his new athletics to Indus.

 

"Anyhow. We'll be able to go back and reserch. Probably they won't recognize me feuthers. Still..." he immitated Indus beard scratch moves- "It might be nessesary to call me somerhing else. You never know.

 

Darkness had moved in from the outside and it whas now dark outside.

 

"Any sugestion?"

summer nodded when flearia mentioned the pain of forcing magic on someone, she knew that too well. But apearently flearia, or whoever she/he was now, had also some experience with it which summer found quite comforting to know.

 

then she managed to get those depressing thoughts away when flearia asked what a new name could be. summer thought for a while. she remembered when she had changed irra, who looked like a wold, had been biting her ear "how about wolfs ear?" she suggested and chuckled. "or earnibbles" she added as a joke.

Indus raised his eyebrow as 'Flearia' rubbed his chin with his hoof, which was the navy unicorn's habit. For a moment he thought the new stallion was mocking him.

 

At his request for an alias, he glanced up at the roof in thought, then at the small spectral wolf chewing on his ear.

 

"Perhaps, Lilac Wolfcaster?" He suggested.

Flearia smiled to his friends suggestions, they where impuls driven and charming in a way, much better then hia mentors namne once before. He looked up at Irra who where still vissably anoyed. "Yea, yes. Both are good, how about Wolfcast Earnibble Eh'?" he bowed his head down and moved a hoof up to pick up Irra to try calm her. He showed somewhat Steel movements doing so. "Sheesh! Calm down Irra, it's temporarly!"

 

Irra however did not calm down. Instead she fleed Flearia's grasp and jumped over to Summer's head. "Fine! Be grumpy then!" he said and stomped the ground! "Uugh! We got any food!?" he opened his bag with his mussle and started to roughly emty it for food. Letting things spill on the floor before hasty putting them back in a mess.

Summer giggled "well then, from now on you'll be known as wolfcast earnibble. Untill flearia returns of course." summer said to fle- wolfcast. Then she watched irra when she moved on to her head. "Hey little thing, don't you like it if flearia transformes?" she asked irra while trying to look at her crosseyed.

 

When she heard stuff fall on the ground she looked normal again and saw wolfcast trying to find some food. She quickly opened her saddle bag and got the food apple bites she prepared earlyer this day. "Here you go" she said when she gave it to her friends "this should be enough for all of us."
