Brainwashing in MLP

I understand what you are saying and here is what i think : Celestia should be more powerful than Luna based on the fact that she is older, when Luna got jealous of Celestia, she gave in to the nightmare forces, thats probably why she felt guilty because the whole thing started with her jealousy. I'll need facts that its obvious Luna was always more powerful than Celestia, otherwise Luna got empowered by the nightmare forces.

Who is more powerful is really not my concern the main question was on Nightmare Moon and Luna being different. From Luna Eclipsed Luna the one that is reformed makes it pretty clear that Twilight was the one that took away her dark powers... which means Nightmare Moon and Luna are the same pony.

I should of recognized a strawman but that was what you were doing.

You said Luna (not nightmare moon) was always more powerful and yet no facts indicating that, i use logic and facts, you use personal opinions.

Just say already why it was pretty obvious Luna was always more powerful.

Hey why don't you make another strawman out of what I'm saying right now.

It's just dark magic that makes people do bad things, nothing more. Magic can do whatever the writer wants it to do so their good magic gets rid of the bad magic, end of story.

No matter how hard I try these ponies will simply never leave me.

The only example I can think of hard core brain washing I can think of in MLP was Starlight Glimmers cult. It is confirmed there is a reformation spell and they did try to use it on Discord but Discord already destroyed the book with the spell in it before they could use it on him. I do agree that the implications of a "reformation spell" are potentially disturbing, can you imagine a villain using a spell like that? They could justify it by saying it is for "the common good" or something like that like a lot of politicians do to justify horrible things.

How can I be wrong when that wasn't even the argument?

When i asked about facts that show its pretty obvious Luna was always more powerful you started making fun of me, Luna being more powerful than Celestia does not make sense they are equal at best and since Celestia is older she should be more powerful, i kept asking what facts show that its obvious Luna is more powerful and you started making fun of me.

That was closer to sarcasm than making fun of someone.

Regardless if it was sarcasm or making fun of some one, it was still rude because you were only trying to avoid being wrong about "Its pretty obvious Luna was always more powerful" because of lack of facts, I don't know if its wrong or not but you when say something like that you also need facts.

Flag on the play.

Aaaand locked.

There was a time that organic conversation was considered acceptable to people and naturally used without the threat of the respondent marginalizing someone else opinion.
