web Ruby and Yang's Dad

More or less a rant that's been kicking at the back of my head, but one I feel I must vent for fear of my head otherwise exploding.

 

I have to ask though . . . WHO IS this guy?! No not some kind of secret identity stuff, I know his name was Taiyang Xiao Long, he's a teacher at Signal, was a member of team STRQ all that jazz. What I mean, that's not one but two amazonian supermodels that have fallen for the guy! And both were his teammates!

 

It just seems so perplexing that such a complicated love life would get NO detail as to how any of them actually worked it out or what they both saw in him that made him so irresistible, given that both Ruby and Yang appear pretty well adjusted and loving of their parents. The only exception being Yang feeling some sense of abandonment by her birth mother but clearly not resenting her adoptive one either.

 

Thoughts? I really just wanted to get that off my chest.

Something tells me we'll figure out more about Taiyang in episodes to come. I mean, Qrow was mentioned a lot before he was ever shown, and I don't think Taiyang will stay completely hidden either. Whether or not that will happen during this volume...I don't know, but in the overall story it's too important not to mention it at some point.

 

I figure around the time we'll learn more about Raven and Summer will also be the moment we learn more about Taiyang.

Especially considering one of Taiyang's paramours was Qrow's sister . . .
