The bunny woman began scribbling some notes down on her clipboard, until she stopped for a moment. "I can fit you in at around five PM, is that gonna be satisfactory enough for you or what? Come on, I'm very busy today. So hurry up and make a decision." ​She said anxiously.

"That's perfect. Thank you." Kronos answered kindly. "Sweet!" He exclaimed excitedly as he left the table, "We got ourselves a gig, Blob."

 

"Cool," Blob replied, "Can we get some food, now?"

 

"Okay, buddy." Kronos answered as he went over to the food vendors, "So, uh, what do you want?"

 

"Let's get some deep-fried sweets!" Blob replied excitedly.

 

"Okay, let's get ourselves wasted on deep fried junk food."

Denise grinned as Mary followed her, and she put her arm around the dog's shoulder as she walked alongside her.

 

"So, what're you in the mood for?" She asked, "You wanna get your cholesterol messed up? Check out some games? Or do you wanna go for a paddle?" She added teasingly, ruffling her hair.

Mary grinned shyly she was glad to be so close to someone. Working all day in her hardware store really cut down on the amount of time she usually had for herself. It had been a while since she had gotten out either.  ​"I-I'm good with whatever you wanna do, Denny. The deep fried ice cream smells good though."

"Whoa, hold up," Denise muttered, holding up a hand, "The what-now?"

 

Her jaw went slightly agape, and glistened with drool. "Oh, yeah. I am totally down for deep fried ice cream."

 

She walked over to the stall with her friend, tail lashing with excitement. "Which flavour d'ya want?"

"Whoa, hold up," Denise muttered, holding up a hand, "The what-now?"

 

Her jaw went slightly agape, and glistened with drool. "Oh, yeah. I am totally down for deep fried ice cream."

 

She walked over to the stall with her friend, tail lashing with excitement. "Which flavour d'ya want?"

Mary sniffed. Her dog nose gave her a great smell radius of everything nearby, and the deep fried ice cream was one of the ones that caught her eye the most. She walked over with her friend, and pointed to the cookie dough ice cream as she wagged her tail with excitement.

Malfoy's attention was grabbed by a familiar voice and at the comment his cheeks remained slightly red red. "What, no... we're all just hanging out." He said before looking toward the beach where he saw a judging stand. "As to that festivity I don't think so otherwise Apep and Gemma would already be over there."

​JR nodded. It was clear that Malfoy was somewhat overtaken by the girls being around him, so he decided to stick around. Why not? Maybe his own social anxiety would be cured. ​"Interesting. You mind if I join you guys? I mean, I managed to get off of work somehow so I have some free time."

"Very well I'll see you two later I have some swim wear to buy." Crystal left the pair and the store to find what she was there for originally.

 

After having a quick stop in a beach shop, rather crowded one at that despite what time it was she got what she was after well there was no camo two pieces but she got a pale white set to off set her dark grey fur. She hurried back to her camp got changed put a towel around her, she was still armed as it was a regulation (think an akin Image like Lara Croft). She went back to town to the beach to see what was up.

 

There were all sorts of animals, all colours shapes and sizes, she laid down on the warming sand on her beach towel with a small bag next to her with odds and ends, put on a pair of sunnys and laid back...

"Sweet," Denise smirked, and walked up to the stand, "I'll take a cookie dough and a chocolate fudge please."

 

"You want them deep fried?" The guy behind the stall asked.

 

"What do you think?" The rat snickered, and pulled out her wallet to pay for the ice cream.

 

She received the horribly unhealthy treats and handed the cookie dough one to Mary. "Here ya go."

"Um sure, I don't see why not. More the merrier I suppose the saying goes." Malfoy said with his tail wagging slightly as he looked back toward the girls who were off to get changed. "Not sure what to do at the moment though, just waiting on the girls at the moment."

 

He turned his attention back to J.R. "So you got off work, did someone relieve you or did you decide to just close up?"

​JR sighed. His day at work was boring to say the least. ​"I mean...eh it was ok. I just got a text from my boss. He said I could leave after I organized all of the supplies in alphabetical, and expiration date order. It took me a couple hours, but I'm here now. Ugh, I just wanted to catch a break or something ya know? I mean, with all the stuff happening, watching a swimsuit contest and stuff couldn't hurt."

 

​He chuckled and raised his arm, ​"Heh...I would go enter the swimming contest, but I'm way too skinny to even try and show off like the other dudes over there. Look. I mean, all the stronger dudes over there get all the girls because they have beach bodies and can lift them up. Pffft. Posers. Where's the personality? Ya feel me?"

​

"Sweet," Denise smirked, and walked up to the stand, "I'll take a cookie dough and a chocolate fudge please."

Mary Alice took her ice cream and started eating it straight away. ​"Mmm! You know I always thought ice cream would fall apart and melt if it was exposed to high heat like a deep fryer. But this....this is amazing! We should try to make it at home for ourselves one day!"

Giving Crystal a wave as she left to go and do her thing, the siblings looked at each other and nodded, knowing exactly what it was they needed to do and the most effective method of doing so. "Alright sis. Tight time schedule. Shop, home, eat, change, festival. All in 15 minutes or under. Listen to me carefully, this isn't going to be easy, are you up to the task? Do you accept this quest?"

"Stop being so over dramatic and wasting time."

*Defeated sigh* "I can never win in a battle of words with you. Fair enough. Let's go."

With the clear goal in their minds, the two made a quick dash to the store. Once inside it only took them around 2 minutes to completely fill a cart with everything that they would need to tide them over for two more weeks. In retrospect, it wasn't a lot of items in the first place, and most of it was snack foods. Buying what they could, they kept a brisk pace as they walked back to their home. Along the way, the sounds of the festival crossed their ears, sounds like most things are in full swing now. But it doesn't sound like anything major is happening yet. They should still have plenty of time. At the more southern end of the small town, the two finally made it back home.

(I'll just skip the rest of what they're doing because its rather self explanatory. I'll bring them to the beach in other post. On another day.)

Denise's tail waggled as she ate her ice cream, and she smirked at Mary's loving her treat. "Isn't it?"

 

At her idea, she blinked and stared at her for a few moments. "Oh my god... dude, if we did that, I'd totally start living off this stuff!"

 

This was actually starting to sound like a good idea the more she thought about it.

Malfoy tilted his head slightly at J.R. but then brought it upright again. "Yeah it's nice your boss let you get out of there since it would just be a waste of moeny to stay open." He said looking around the beach for a second. "There is other things to do beside watch the swimsuit contest. Although maybe you should enter the swimming contest, big guys don't stand much a chance swimming against someone who is smaller and more streamline."

Being a cat, not many expected him to be swimming since cats usually hate water. ​"Hm...most of my opponents would be wolves and dogs. They really know how to swim....hm....no other cats are competing since cats hate water. But...I think I got a chance. I mean, I'm a bit tall and skinny so I guess I have some sort of....um...aerodynamics underwater? Whaddya think, Malf?"

Julia remembered half way to the school that it was summer break and started back to her house in was kinda funny...

Kronos and Blob were stuffing their faces in deep fired foods.

 

"Enjoying yourself, Blob?" Kronos asked Blob with his mouth still kind of full of food.

 

"Hmm?" Blob asked bewilderingly as he munched on his mountain of food.

 

"Hehe," Kronos chuckled as he swallowed what he was eating, "You have a black hole in your gut or something?"

 

"Pfft." Blob replied.

 

"Well, I guess we can just sit here until someone interesting to us comes along."

​JR thought about it for a moment. Could he really win the swimming contest? "Why not, if anything you'll show you're different then most felines and that you have spirit and some chicks dig that." Malfoy said smiling toward. "But sometimes you just have to take a plunge if you want to see what you're capable of."

 

Malfoy's nose then caught the scent of a rather delicious smelling aroma coming from the foodstands, he looked in their general direction feeling slightly hungry since he didn't eat breakfast but also didn't want to eat in case he went swimming later.

Malfoy looked back at the foodstands and then toward where the girls had walked off toward. "If you like you can go ahead, I'll wait for the girls so they feel like I ditched them or something." He offered flashing another smile. "Just make sure not to stuff yourself if you're going to swim."

JR nodded at Malfoy and left. He decided to go check in, and signed up for the swimming contest. He ignored the mockery he got from a few of the buff looking dudes nearby. They teased him about how skinny he was, and he simply scoffed, and walked off.

With the short time they had allotted themselves passed, the pair were finally ready to go to the beach. Packing everything essential, towels, sunblock and the like into a small bag for Shizuko to carry, while the other more plentiful items such as a Camera, note book, an inflatable ring among a plethora of other misc items in a slightly large bag for Ryo.

 

Ryo had changed from his standard clothing into the pair of Blue, three quarter length shorts, a while T-shirt and a pair of sandals. Shizuko was wearing a dark blue one piece swimsuit also with sandals.

 

Arriving at the beach, Ryo felt a slight sense of dread ahead of them. It was crowded, what else did he expect. Shizuko in the other hand was rather calm about it, but Ryo knew that was only because he was with her. When either of them are without the other for too long, they become a mess.

 

"Alright, you wanted to come here Shizuko and I am no longer fully against the idea. First call of order is to make sure we can get a nice spot, possibly somewhere we don't bother many people and somewhere less crowded. The middle of the beach or more towards the water front is the popular choices since they have the least obscurity and are close to the water. The edges aren't as popular since they don't give the best view and experience."

 

"It is a simple choice then isn't it? Shouldn't we look for your girlfriend first?"

 

"Funny Shizuko, let's just go."

 

The two slowly walked along the edge of the beach, getting a good look over everything that was going on. Spotting some interesting looking people along with way. Best to not say anything if he doesn't want to anger someone.

Apep watched as Malfoy went to talk to a friend, before turning her attention back to Gemma. "Come on. We should probably go get ready." She said, giving a light smile as she slithered towards the bathroom. "So, how did you and Malfoy meet? I actually met him when into his shopping cart, and found out that we had a few shared interests." It wasn't the best way for two individuals to meet, but it certainly was funny.

Mary giggled at the thought of making their own ice cream. It sounded fun, but a tad unhealthy. ​"I think we'd probably get fat and huge after a while. It wouldn't be good to eat this all the time. But it sounds yummy."

 

Another loud confetti popper was shot into the air. The swimming contest was about to begin.

Blitz noticed that the swimming contest was about to start and headed for the starting line. He had signed up as he was waiting for Scarlet and seeing as how she hadn't finished, he figured he had nothing to lose. "I don't care if I win. I just want to prove to them that dragons aren't all dangerous." He thought.

​JR was standing next to him wearing his blue swim trunks. ​"Sup, bro? You in the contest too?" ​JR was actually somewhat skinny and didn't have much of a muscular body, yet he was going to try and do it anyways. The contest layout was marked by buoys that went out to 50 meters. The first to travel there and back 5 times would win.
