Moon Sugar 532 May 14, 2016 Share May 14, 2016 Just morning musings by yours truly! I always thought that Apple Jack showed more loyalty, and Rainbow Dash more honest. Even if she embellishes a little bit it all comes from honesty. If those elements were switched, or naturally belonged to the other pony, would it make much more difference character wise? 1 ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ☆★☆ It's you I love ☆★☆

Moon Sugar 532 May 14, 2016 Author Share May 14, 2016 No, they're both fine the way they are But if they swapped, would they be noticeably different ponies? Anypony else and they would be. ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ☆★☆ It's you I love ☆★☆
Scootie 109 May 14, 2016 Share May 14, 2016 Applejack is best for the element of honesty because she's a very 'simple' and stable pony. What you see is what you get when it comes to her. There aren't really many aspects of her that she keeps 'hidden' from her friends. There's more to honesty than not telling lies, you know. Rainbow can very blunt and 'brutally honest' when it comes to talking about her friends, yes, but it's not really friendship related. Most of the time it is hurtful and does nothing to help the situation they may be in. She's also got a lot of deep-seated fears and insecurities that she doesn't like sharing with the others all too often, making her not that honest in that sense. So basically, Applejack's honesty is 'friendly', Rainbow's is not. I also believe that Rainbow is the element of loyalty because that is what she values the most from friendship. It was revealed in Mysterious Mare Do Well that she hates being alone, so she really appreciates other ponies being there for her, and looks to do the same for them.
cmarston1 5,963 May 14, 2016 Share May 14, 2016 I am perfectly fine with how Rainbow Dash got the element of loyalty and Applejack got the element of honesty. I don't feel like either of them needed to switch.
Jeric 46,880 May 14, 2016 Share May 14, 2016 This is only extremely apparent in Dragon Quest, and is a joke that Friendship is Witchcraft plays on as well. The truth is that all the characters have displayed other Elemental attributes over the course of the show. They need to in order to both serve the story and feel completely relatable.

The truth is that all the characters have displayed other Elemental attributes over the course of the show. They need to in order to both serve the story and feel completely relatable. Plus if they didn't share aspects of most or all of the other elements (#EarthPonyMagic?), they wouldn't be as well developed as characters. They'd be pretty one sided goody goodies and dull. They do run kind of close though, as they are both honest and loyal. 2 Courtesy of @Sparklefan1234
Moon Sugar 532 May 14, 2016 Author Share May 14, 2016 I am perfectly fine with how Rainbow Dash got the element of loyalty and Applejack got the element of honesty. I don't feel like either of them needed to switch. I'm fine with them having there assigned element, don't get me wrong, my musing is that out of all the ponies if they switched it wouldn't change them as characters. bluseymoe 258 May 15, 2016 Share May 15, 2016 Rainbow Dash constantly having to put aside personal gain because of her loyalty to her friends is a much more meaningful display of dedication than Applejack just being inherently loyal to her family.

TheGamerDerpy 7 June 3, 2016 Share June 3, 2016 I agree. Rainbow Dash has always been more Honest, and Applejack more Loyal. We have barely seen Rainbow Dash be loyal, or Applejack be Honest. So, we are better off switching there elements.
Teavvi 627 June 12, 2016 Share June 12, 2016 I don't exactly agree. I think if they switched elements they would definitely be different. Although Applejack and Rainbow Dash are pretty much twinsies (lol) I think that they would be better off NOT switching personalities. 1 Sig by Shadow The Hedgehog//
