Does anyone buy HT clothes?

 

Iv'e always found them to be a bit pricey (I rarely buy my clothes at the mall, rather, Goodwill. JCP sometimes, too. But I've gotten numerous pony shirts/rubber bracelets from HT in the past) But today, I went to HT, and just fell in love with a cosplay vest fromAlice Through the Looking Glass

Really want it, since I like the gothic/Victorianaesque feel it has to it. Decided to sleep on it, hoping its there next week, ocs I'm sure I will have made up my mind.

I've gotten a few shirts, shorts and bracelets at Hot Topic! I like their clothes, although they are a bit pricey. 

 

Also, that vest is really neat!

I bought a "HULKAMANIA" shirt from there once. I only bought it because it was right after Hulk Hogan said all that racist shit and got kicked out of the WWE, so it was on sale. I mean say what you will about the man's views, he's still an icon of professional wrestling. Probably wouldn't have even gone in there though if I hadn't been able to see the shirt from outside the store.

I've bought several different shirts from Hot Topic, especially ones with some of my favorite bands, and gaming-related as well. Anime shirts are either a hit or miss for me, but I do have some in my closet.

 

Even though the merchandise the store sells is costly, whenever I have money to spare, I will shop at HT if something I want is stocked.

I stopped buying from Hot Topic simply because the QUALITY of their stuff is deplorable. It falls apart so easily and for what I pay for it... Walmart products hold together better. I like how they have pop culture stuff, but it sucks that we have to pay top dollar for it and it holds together so poorly.

I like seeing some pop culture shirts from them from time to time, though I've only ever gotten a "Mordecai and the Rigbys" and Vinyl Scratch shirt from them. I regret never getting a CM Punk shirt there, especially since they seem pretty hard to come by

 

Nowadays though I can find a good amount of these kinds of shirts at my local Kohls though, I actually managed to snag both a Megaman and Capcom shirt from them, among other things

I got a pony shirt from there once, and most of my band merch has come from there. I agree, they can be pricey, but they're almost always having sales on clearance items, and I've found some of my shirts on clearance.

I will get shirts there when they are on sale. 

They have sales all the time.

 

They have some fun pop culture shirts and some good band shirts. Every once in a while I find a band shirt that I would never expect to see there. One time I found a Ryan Adams and the Cardinals shirt there. They only had one in their misc shirt rack and I've never seen another like it again.

I have one black jacket from HT, but I don't buy much from there.  I do really like browsing there, though.  I really love a lot of the stuff they have for women.  I wish I could wear that stuff, and I also wish I could date a woman who wears that stuff.

I go to Hot Topic every time I go to the mall. Which is maybe once a year. To be fair, one of my favorite shirts is from there, it's a black shirt, with Scar from The Lion King printed in a single color of grey. I've gotten tons of compliments on it. I've had it about 4 years now, and it's starting to show its age.

 

The only thing I ever buy there as far as clothes go is t-shirts, because their clothes are so expensive, and the quality is so poor. Also, their sizes are inconsistent. Maybe every other time I'll find something I really want there, which is sad, considering how seldom I go in. It also makes me really uncomfortable because the music is so loud, and the racks are really close together. Introvert Troblems already has a hard time at the mall. Hot Topic is about three time worse than any other store because everything is so claustrophobically close together.

I used to buy Tripps from there when they sold more "gothy" stuff there, I lost interest when they were selling more "trendy" stuff there.

I only ever did for two things: MLP of course and Attack On Titan, but the Hot Topic I go to has pretty much stopped selling MLP products altogether, which is a damn shame. It still has Attack On Titan stuff though, which is odd because that show hasn't even had a second season yet. I don't buy clothing from there much anymore though, mostly because of the lack of MLP stuff now but most importantly, the pricing. It just isn't good.

As for the Alice vest, I really like it! Especially the back design. The front... could be done a bit better. idk, maybe it is just the model, I think that if maybe the white shirt was a bit longer it wold look better. But I adore the back.

About 80% of my attires are from Hot Topic...back when it was more “punk or goths” (still shopping there btw). Now it more of keeping up with the trends and “hipster”. Spencer was a hipster hippy store but they also want with the same route as HT, so now you can’t tell the differences aside from spencer having a porn section.
 

I don’t mind them selling franchises I like since I still buy from HT for that, but the fashion itself is rarely been seen. The only time I actually saw the kind of  bracelets and chokers like the ones back in the old days was when they were selling Billie Elish merch.  I bought some since I love BE and also you don’t see them that often at all anymore. 
I missed the back days when they were selling better fashion attires. I do something come by one or two but it’s rare.

As for the price itself, I’m not that concerned since HT has been always generous when it comes to great deals and sells. Let alone Hot Cash. I’d buy things from the clearances and earn Hot cash to later use it for an expensive item I like.

As a teen i used to get clothes from there. As an adult I get them from Killstar,Dollskill and blackcraft cult. Better quality for the price.
